I'm a photography major at a community college. I love music, fashion, art, my friends, books, films, theatre...and vampires. Ask me anything. I especially like questions about my opinions on something and questions that aren't even asking for advice.
advice
hi. I am a 13/f and i started my period about 6 months ago. I play soccer alot and do track in school. I have never used a tampon, only pads. My mom wont bring the subject up and i'm too nervous to ask her how to use it or if I can use them. PLEASE HELP!!!! my soccer tournament is in a few weeks and thats when my next period is supposed to come! any advice on how my mom can bring up the subject? or how i can get the nerve to talk to her about this?? should i just not tell her and just use one?? but i've never used one before and i'm nervous and dont know how to use one. PLEASE HELP!! thank you sooooo much
Don't listen to xoIDOLox, she's wrong about them hurting, they totally don't. You don't feel them at all when you use them. Ask your mom to buy you tampons and if she won't then buy them yourself. If you buy Tampax Pearl, they come with instructions for first-timers. And like I said, if you do it right, they don't hurt at all. The only way they could possibly cause you harm is if you were to get TSS, which would only happen if you didn't change it ever 4-8 hours, which is easy to remember to do anyway. So just change it regularly and you'll be fine.
(Rating: 5) thanks soo much, after i gave xoIDOLox a 5, i reread her answer and wanted to change it. thanks so much!
