I work as a Customer Laison Complaints Case Officer at a major insurance company, where I have worked for 3 years. I left school when I was 17, as I had some very bad experiences at school and wanted to see what the real world had to offer.

I now live with my boyfriend of 3 years and spend my spare time reading, writing, socialising with friends or just watching some TV.

Times are still hard and I'm trying to cope with various health problems on a daily basis but I'm working my way through things and really want to stop it from getting me down.

I dream of some day going to America and watching a real baseball game (we don't have that at all in the UK) and perhaps finding a job I find creatively fulfilling. Until then, I'm happy trying to be me and making the best of what I have.

I recently upgraded to MSN live Messenger, it was working fine for a couple of days and then it woudlnt sign me in at all.. Only on one account though, which is the account i use all the time.

I made a new addy and it worked fine signing in.

When i sign into my old one it says:..
the whole troubleshoot thing and then..
Error Code: 80004005

Okay so i have been troubleshooting and repairing for like 2 hours non-stop and still no luck, i clicked help and tried to find the error code and the reasons it has done this but the code is nowhere..

Does anybody know how i can solve this and get my account back because if i dont sort it i have lost almost 500 contacts. my friend signed into my acc on her comp and saved and sent me my contacts but many of them dont accept multiple account addys so i dont know what to do!

I hope this helps because it is really the only thing I can think of and nobody else has replied...

When I tried to download it, I was having a read through some of the information and although it doesn't say *anywhere* on most of the information, there is a tiny area on one page where it says it will not work unless you have Windows XP. By this point, it had downloaded around 30% so I had to cancel it.

I am wondering if perhaps this is why it is not working on your PC? It's the only reason I can think of...

Unfortunately, as for solving it, you could try uninstalling MSN Live Messenger but as I believe it is an expansion on the original MSN package, I don't know that this would work. If it is just an expansion, unfortunately (and I hate to tell you this) there really is no way to get rid of it and get your old MSN system back.
