I work as a Customer Laison Complaints Case Officer at a major insurance company, where I have worked for 3 years. I left school when I was 17, as I had some very bad experiences at school and wanted to see what the real world had to offer.

I now live with my boyfriend of 3 years and spend my spare time reading, writing, socialising with friends or just watching some TV.

Times are still hard and I'm trying to cope with various health problems on a daily basis but I'm working my way through things and really want to stop it from getting me down.

I dream of some day going to America and watching a real baseball game (we don't have that at all in the UK) and perhaps finding a job I find creatively fulfilling. Until then, I'm happy trying to be me and making the best of what I have.

My boyfriend and I have been going out for 9 months now and he said he loves me..How long do you have to be going out to know if you love someone. Or is it not time constrained?? (link)
To be honest, time really doesn't have much to do with it.

My boyfriend and I had been going out with each other for just over a month when he told me he loved me and it really took me by surprise, because nobody had ever said it to me before (other than obviously family!). I waited a month before I said it back, because I was worried he didn't mean it and I didn't want to say it back without knowing for sure I did. But I realise now that I loved him long before we started going out and over 3 years later, we're still together.

However, I tend to be suspicious of anyone who confesses to be in love within the first couple of months, when you are still going through that 'Honeymoon Period'. As you have been going out for 9 months, I reckon there's a very good chance he means it. Lucky you! Now all you need to do is work out how you feel about him and if you are ready to say it back.

I would warn you though that you shouldn't feel pressured to say it back. If you know you don't love him, don't say it but if you know you do, shout it from the rooftops and be very happy together!
