i know when you have a - and a + you subtract nd when you have a - - or + + you add them but when you have a - + + does it equal a negitave or a postivite? and so my question is is a + plus + postive or negitave and when a - + - is the answer a negitave or a plue and when it's - + + is it a negitave or a positve. WILL RATE 5"S THANKS! (link)
my math teacher is brilliant and explained this oo so well...

Okay heres a problem...
(-8)- +3
Okay you owe someone 8 bucks.
Okay so you would rewrite it like this and than SOLVE!
-8 + (-3)
so your answer would be -11.
Easy right?

and when you add two positive numbers it will be positive.

two negatives will equal a negative.

a negative and a two positives depends on which is the biggest

EX
-8 + 3 + -2
it would be -7 because 8 is the bigger number. So it takes its sign.

EX
8 + -3 + 2
it would be +9 because after all the math and stuff 8 was the biggest number so the answer takes its sign.

I'm sorry if its not clear as I was typing it I like oo gosh this pretty hard to understand
