Does anyone know any really good books to read? I like to read all kinds of books. The last book i read was called "the lovely bones" it was an awsome book it was about a girl that got raped and murdered and the girl went to heaven and she was looking down on her family..I want to read books that teenagers would be interrested in!
15/female..if that helps with anything..
Thanks.
These are amongst my favorites:
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux (the original novel that the musical and umpteen movies were based off of; very suspenseful, romantic, and tragic. I love it)
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien (Itâ??s great, even if youâ??re not a lord of the rings fan)
Witness by Karen Hesse
The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorn
Nothing But The Truth by Avi
Haroun and the Sea of Stories by Salman Rushdie
The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling
Franny and Zooey by J.D. Salinger
Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
Juno and the Paycock by Sean Oâ??Casey
Watership Down by Richard Adams
Great and Terrible Beauty by Libba Bray
Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen (I know, it sounds boring. But itâ??s really good. Colorful parody of Victorian England)
The Pearl by Steinbeck
Anne of Green Gables by L.M. Montgomery
The Forestwife by Theresa Tomlinson
The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Dracula by Bram Stoker
If you are an aspiring writer, I highly recommend â??The Elements of Styleâ?? by William Strunk and E.B. White. It has everything you need to know about writing
Hope this helps!
