If i want to put a poem in my xanga, how do i make it copyrighted to no one can copy and paste,there are so many people who pass by i'd never know if someone came by and claimed it as theirs.

It's copyright as soon as your write it. However, there is very little that you can do to keep someone from stealing your work once it is published on the internet. The fact that taking your poem is illegal will stop few people who really want to use it as their own.
Unfortunately, your best options are to put it on the internet stating that it is copyright and accepting that some people might try to use it as thier own; or keep not put it on the Internet at all.
As a side note, most people will respect your work, and will not try to take it. Hope that helped!
