It's become a trend in my area for some very ignorant people to steal campain signs from public and private yards. Basically, all of the Kerry/Edwards signs have come up missing only to be found dumped with big W's spray painted on them. I am disgusted by this, as I'm sure any self respecting Bush supporter would be too. I am for Kerry, but I would never think of imposing on anyone's right to speak out for the candidate that they believe in.
It's gotten quite bad. I took a two minute walk down the road and saw three or four Kerry/Edwards signs. Four hours later they were all missing.
I want to express my views with a few signs in my yard, but I do not want them to be vandalized. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I could go about doing this? (link)

Spring-load a vile of a rare disease to the base of your sign. When they lift the sign to remove it, the disease will be released and they will be infected; afterwhich, I doubt they'll come back.
