Well I have been quite puzzled about this lately....when you're taking the pill, do you have to use a condom to help prevent pregnancy? I don't need it for STD's b/c my bf and I don't have any nor have we been with any other people ever before. So any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Every day i go to school and i see all these couples walking around together. I'm really jealous because i want to be one of those guys that other people look at walking with their g/fs. The only problem is that there is nobody at my school that i can see myself goin out with right now. What can i do? (I'm a freshman)

Well, I think that school just started pretty recently for most people. I'll say within a month or two, so really, new relationships, friendly and more, are just forming. Some people might know each other from the school they went to before, and that's great. If any of your friends from your old school are going to your high school, just hang out with them for awhile until you're more comfortable and know more people. Make friends with the people sitting next to, in front of and behind you, and it they're half way decent people they'll see that you're pretty friendly, and I know tons of girls that like friendly guys that aren't that hot (not that you aren't or anything.) rather than snobby hotties. Sorry, that was long. But my point is, you don't need a girlfriend just to look good, but yeah. Sorry, that's probably not much help.

i just found out i get my braces in 13 days any tips to help the process?

They hurt a bit, not much. Take Tylenol or Ibuprofen before you get there, and keep on them as much as it's allowed, I think it's every four hours. Be SURE to get some wax, if there's a wire that is poking you and you cover it with the wax it makes it much better. I chewed all kinds of gum, never cared if it was sugarless or not and I never had a bracket fall off.

The retainers are a lot worse. >.> *wearing now*

Hey! I have this challenge thingy set by our teacher and it has a load of riddles on it. I'm really stuck on this certain one, please could you help with this one?

Three men have dinner together. The bill comes up to $30. The men each put down $10, which the waitress takes to the owner who says: They didn't have a very good deal, take $5 off the bill. The waitress is distressed at having to divide $5 by three so she pockets $2 and returns $1 to each man. So they end up paying $27 and she gets $2, this adds up to $29. i just got around to my 7th day of my period and it was pretty much all done [less and less coming out], but all of a sudden, it got really heavy again!! why is this happening? does it happen a lot during this time?

This happens to me a lot. It just means that your body wasn't completely done and maybe didn't "realize" it until now. It will probably be done in a day or so, now.

how long should a tampon be worn? I have herd that they should be worn for 4 to 8 hours but my friend told me that as long as you change it within 24 hours you'll be good. Which is the true answer?

Hmm, a buncha people have asked this before.

24 hours? God no. 4-8 hours is correct. 8 hours is tops. You shouldn't keep all that stuff inside of you very long, which is why it flows out in the first place.

If he's only doing it when she's gone, and not doing it when she's home, why is it disrespectful? Think about it. He's home with not much to do, no one to talk to, so he talks to people online. Isn't that what you do when you're bored, get online? If he closes them out when she gets home and talks to her, then he's not disrespectful. Just politely ask what he does online all day, and what chat rooms he's been going in to.

Ever since I was a small child, I have always wanted to be a pilot. However, my vision is terrible and 20/20 vision is a strict requirement of US Air Force aviators. There is the possibility of Lasic surgery, but that is expensive and sometiems unreliable, and it has risks and side effects involved. And it can sometimes be a disqualifier from the flight program of the USAF.

Now, when I was a Senior in High School, I was originally going to sign up for the US Army Warrant Officer program. My counselor managed to persuade me not to. I applied to and got accepted to Saint Joseph's University because of their Air Force ROTC program. Then came something I was not prepared for. As always, there is a lady involved. I found, or actually, a lady found me. We have been dating for the past 4 months and I know I sound like some puppy-eyed immature teenager when say this but I love this woman, and I plan on marrying her when we get out of college. It sounds stupid, but I know what I feel and I know she feels the same way. Now here is my problem. Do I join Air Force ROTC and waste 4 years of my life as an Air Force Officer only to be rejected for my vision to the pilot program when I could be living a nice steady life with my lady? Or is there a small chance that I could possibly get accepted to the pilot program and fulfill my dream? Is that small chance worth it? It pains us both to go to separate colleges, and my lady fears having to wait for me to return from year long tours of duty. And she fears the current war going on as well. What do I do?

I think first you need to talk to your lady about your dream, and if she really loves you she'll understand that it's something you really want to do. Then, talk to...someone, I'm not sure what you call them, but like "the main guy" and explain your situation and ask if there's any chance at all you could be accepted with your vision, and if not, if they accept people who've had Lasic surgery.

You could also purpose to your girlfriend before you leave, if you leave ya know, and get married when you come home.

Ask him where he's from. But first, just be formal about it. Like "Hi, my name's *name here*! I heard you're new here. Where ya from?" and then ask him if he knows where all his classes are, and all that, and like if he has a class near yours and if he's alone offer to walk with him.

Homecoming dance is in two weeks, but this year the girls are suposed to ask the guys.. Soooo this girl who i like a lot hadn't asked me yet, so i said yes to a good friend of mine who didnt have a date. Then the next night on the phone the girl who I really liked asked me, and i had to say no because i didnt want to ditch my friend. What can i do???

I think it's really nice of you to stand by your friend. I say keep the date with your friend, and just tell the girl you like that you promised a friend you guys would go together, but that maybe you two could go to the next school event. Or, if it's ok with your friend, save her a dance. :P

Okay, well for my Life Management class, I have to work 10 hours of Community Service for free. I'm not sure what to do, I'm really interested in basketball. She told us that cleaning for a basketball team would be considered community service. I was going to ask the local WNBA/NBA arena if I could maybe clean the locker rooms or clean SOMETHING for them maybe 2 hours a day, but I don't know how to do that [ask them]. And they would probably reject that idea. Can you help me think of Community Service Jobs i could do that would interest me? I enjoy basketball, volleyball, and shopping. I also like music.

Hmm. Maybe you could go to your local YMCA and ask about volleyball or basketball courses for little kids, tell them about your project and ask if you can be a volunteer teacher or helper. Or you could get together with some other people from your class and hold a basketball clinic at your school or church if you go, and invite little kids and teach them how to play and just let them have fun. Or you could be a referree(sp?) at your local YMCA or at your school basketball games. Or even a score keeper.
