HoW LoNg???
how long should a tampon be worn? I have herd that they should be worn for 4 to 8 hours but my friend told me that as long as you change it within 24 hours you'll be good. Which is the true answer?

Not only do you increase your chances of TTS, which others have described, it's gross! After a period of time you will start to smell. Read the directions on your products to know how to use them correctly.

No I definitely wouldn't say as long as its in 24 hours. You should probably change it every 4 to 6 hours so you don't get an infection ar anything. Hope I helped. :-)

You need to read the instructions included in the box of tampons. Toxic Shock Syndrome is very dangerous and you need to be careful! NEVER leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours. Six hours would be best, as changing it too often can irritate your vagina. Tell your friend, too, that she needs to look out for any flu-like syptoms while wearing her tampon for so long, and recommend a few deodorizers sprays for her junk. That's just nasty of her!

dont listen to ur friend....tampons should be worn for at least 3-5 hours...cuz if u keep it there more than 5 hours ur blood is gonna get old and u could get a disease...kk...K.I.T

it should only be worn for the max of 4 hours. if you wear it for longer the stuff stays on it and you could get an infection.

Well im not actually sure because I dont wear tampons....but im pretty sure that 24 hours is way to long...thats how some people getg sick.....hope i helped you but if you want better advice maybe you should ask your mom or a close friend!!!

NEVER, and I mean NEVER wear a tampon for more than 8 hours. If you do, you could get a fatal illness! Make sure you tell your friend that wearing a tampon for 24 hours could be serious trouble for her.

24 hours? God no. 4-8 hours is correct. 8 hours is tops. You shouldn't keep all that stuff inside of you very long, which is why it flows out in the first place.

I change mine every 2 to 4 hours and so does most of my friends. I think if you are going a good bit then change it 2 to 4 hours but if it isn't alot then around 4 to 8. Never 24 but i think that is to long and it might case TSS i think.
