about how much does contacts cost?! and how easy are they to use?! i rate high!

contacts range in pricing- so i cant give you an exact price. what you can do to find out how much it would be is to ask your eye care doctor and he/she can give you the most accurate price as apposed to some of us on advicenators [nothing against anyone, just the facts]. all my family has contacts so ill tell you straight out what ive noticed- they all had trouble in the beginning [as do my friends at school]. it takes time to adjust to getting them in [unless you're extremely lucky] so thats a down side. but after you practice getting them in during the day- its all good. but they cause trouble if you want to swim or if you want to use them for a long period of time. you need to be ready for commitment with contacts [im not being sarcastic], you need to take care of them and clean them and all that jazz. good luck with your decision to get them or not- and if worse comes to worse- glasses arent THAT bad ;)! =] -ask_anything

hey .. i shave my legs every morning and by noon they r all prickily LOL well do u guyz know ne thing i can do to keep them smoother for longer* thanx

well everyone's hair growth is different. either you have a very short hair growth [[might not be the cause]] or you might be shaving while you have goose bumps. ive heard if you shave when you have them, that once they go away you'll still have some hair. if this is the case- warm up your legs before shaving. but if thats not it- try using a brand new razor head and try to shave not too hard- but enough so all the hair is gone on top. use a lotion after to stay moistuized. and if nothing helps- wax your legs! i did it for a while, and it didnt give me any pain at all [although everyone is different], i just got sick of waiting for appointments =]. hope one of my tricks helped -ask_anything

I meet this guy i really liked him and he liked me..so we went out..he goes to another school but we live so close that we could walk and meet up sometime..he says everything soo right then one day he broke up w/ me..i felt that we were going to be together for awhile..i mean i REALLY like this guy..what do i do to get him back?

well, you cant just get him back if you really like him. sometimes love just doesnt work out. you cant make him go out with you again, unless he feels the same as you. if you're not sure if he feels the same, you should ask him how he does feel about you. find out why he broke up with you, and if this is a reason you can fix- maybe things will go your way. but you cant just make things happen, they take time. so there is no real way to "get him back"- although we all do wish we could at one point in our lives. ;) my advice is just the general talking it over with him. who knows, maybe even though you live close- he still wants a girl that goes to his school? good luck with your situation, it sounds like you really care for him! =] -ask_anything

hey! I was wondering if you had a dance team at your middle school or kno anyone who does. 3 of my friends and I are starting one this year and are sort of like the coaches/captins cuz we have to make up the dances, do tryouts and all that. We didnt know how much we would really do with the dance team though cuz all the other teams at our school are cheerleading (they cheer during the games and go to competition), baseball, soccer, and basketball. We knew we would try to go to competition, but if thats only a couple times during the year or whatever what else would we do?

the dance teams in my middle school arent actually in the middle school [i dont think] most of the kids that i know are on a dance team that are in other towns that have adult coaches and are a little bit more extensive than a school team. i dont do dance team for a school but other than going to competition, you would probably have the dance team for pep rallys, maybe a fundraiser, basketball games at half time [some dance teams do half times], depending on how good you are you might be able to get more options if you win competitions. sorry if my advice wasnt as helpful as you might have expected- but its hard because ive never had experience with a dance team! thanks for asking my advice though! =] good luck with the team! -ask_anything

ok well I think I'm OKAY pretty... I mean Ive been told i'm "beautiful" by some people... but so has everyone right? ok well my friend is also OKAY pretty too. But whenever we go out the guys usually end up more attracted to me. I have no idea why I mean we're both really nice and everything... and its not like I mean for anything to happen. And sometimes I dont even like the guy! it bugs me sometimes. But also sometimes the guy SHE likes likes me... I feel so bad I mean I dont even do anything! But she always gets frustrated (which i can understand) but theres nothing I can do about it! Ive talked to her... and she knows it but still she get mad! I dont know what to do

there was a question almost exactly like this coming from your friend's perspective earlier. so from your side my advice would be to help your friend with some of the guys by putting in a good word about her, getting her to be more in with all the guys you meet- NEVER leave her for a guy. thats the last thing youll ever want to do. you should tell her that you feel bad, and you do want to help her but your not always sure how to. come up with some ways together... just dont let this one issue damage your friendship- because guys dont always last forever. good luck=] -ask_anything

i have looong hair that i can't seem to do anything with, it looks nice straight, but i want to SPICE it up a bit, without dying it, ive done that enough

i used to have longer hair when i was young, and i couldnt do anything really but braid it or keep it down. the best thing i did was cut it shorter! if you dont want to cut it, then try putting it up as much as you can into a nice bun or french braid it. it really depends how long your hair is! but id really reccomend cutting your hair to shoulder length- its not as heavy, it looks nicer (for most cases) and its easier to care for! but im sure youll look beautiful long hair or short! whatever you decide, enjoy your hair! not many people are as lucky as you to have long hair! hehe alright- good luck! =] -ask_anything

After putting chap stick,lotion,etc on my lips, my lips are really soft, but when I add lip gloss over it my lips tend to peel. I use Clinique and MAC lip gloss some of those most expensive lip glosses n it still makes my lips peel. Is there anything I can do to not make them peel? Its driving me insane! This is the ONLY thing I cannot figure out!

im not positive why your lips peel, but you may be allergic to something in the lip glosses? or you have too much product on your lips and it might be irritating the skin? try not putting so much on and stay away from the lip gloss for a while and see if your lips still peel. if nothing helps- go see your doctor! good luck! =] -ask_anything

how do you keep your clothes from shrinking.. like jeans and shirts!! please help

in the washer use cold water and hang dry them afterwords! also if you dont want clothes to shrink, try to find clothing made with non-shrinking material (COTTON SHRINKS). -ask_anything

okay, ive been "talking" to this guy for the past like 2 weeks, we hang out acouple times a week and talk on the phone...how long do u think i should wait until i make out with him and NOT seem slutty at the same time? im comfortable with making out and all that junk, but how long should i wait so i wont seem easy?

well if you're only "talking" to this guy for 2 weeks and hung out and talked on the phone... you shouldnt make out with him until you go out... thats just what i think... once you go out, you have a reason to do whatever you want with him- and you wont seem slutty (just keep what your doing with him to a minimum in public if you dont want to seem slutty). dont rush things TOO much now! -ask_anything

This is for my friend there is this guy that is one of her good friends and he makes her cry by bringing up like bad memories and picking fights with her .. she's very emotional my friend .. and I always tell her that if he treats you like this he's not worth it and she understands but somehow she can't put him behind her .. like he calls and she forgives him she's wayy too nice and ends up getting stepped on but i don;t know if she realizes this and i dunno if i should tell her like i said she's emotional i dunno if she'll take it the wrong way .. thanx !

it's nice of you to be concerned and ask this for your friend. you sound like a great friend by the way you care. this guy sounds like a total jerk from what youve said. and your friend is very forgiving [ive been too forgiving at times as well] so you need to tell her to stop being stepped all over and give him the boot. if she doesnt listen to you, then at least youve tried. its her life and if she doesnt want to fix whats wrong- you cant do much other than comfort her. if you really want to get in the middle of things [not recommended] you could talk to this guy yourself and tell him how its making her so emotionally saddened. if you are really close to your friend, she'll be grateful in the end for caring about her feelings and her life. best of luck, hope my advice helps a little! =] -ask_anything

hey tripp-
sounds like the band thing isnt working out that good. if you really want to get better, if possible- each band member should try to get a few lessons on their instrument. start easy and work your way up. dont practice EVERY day if you are getting worse and worse. but your effort sounds like your band could go far. just practice and try to learn some lessons before you go after the hard stuff. good luck with the band and remember to always have fun no matter what you sound like! -ask_anything

I think I like one of my closest friends and I think she just might like me back. But it's tough because I don't really want to say anything me being a girl myself... Should I tell her how I feel and risk our friendship or just ignore it?

first off- you need to make sure she likes you in the way you like her. this may sound dumb but im not sure of your age, so sometimes younger teens don't always know who's straight and who's not. if you are 100% sure the two of you are in the same boat (by expression), then you should come out and tell her. if she's really such a great friend, then she'll understand even if she doesnt like you. if you think she might overreact... wait a while and test little questions on her... maybe one being "haha what if i told you i liked you more than a friend" (act as if a joke) and see what she says. this may not be the most helpful advice, but im giving you all i can think of. hope things work out! leave one in my inbox if you need any other questions answered! =] -ask_anything

well... the difference in age usually doesnt matter... but in this case it's a little too far- unless your super mature or something. anyways you shouldnt just go out with someone just because they can drive and they can take you to college parties. you have much more stuff in common with the 15 year old (id think) and they'll be able to drive soon anyways... i dont know either of them personally, and its not my life- thats just my opinion. whoever you pick, make sure you are going out with them because they have the personality you like, and they will be good to you for a long time. im not going to pick for you, im telling you from what you've stated who i think is better suited. if that made any sense, good luck! -ask_anything

i have 3 brothers and my dad...(my mom too but she isnt the prob.) well anyway..they ALWAYS piss on the seat..sometimes its a lot and i HATE that! im always the one to have to spray disinfectant and wipe it off. One time i was dumb enough not to look before i sat down..and i sat in piss! how sick is that..o man. i tried telling them how mad i am about that..i even tried leaving the seat up so they have more space to aim..but its not working. Should i try all this again only more seriously this time? Please help..i just wanna be able to feel that my own bathroom is clean..im so grossed out!

ooh yes i have brothers too [big sigh]. haha well ive never had this paticular problem but you can put a little sign above the toliet (if possible) or on the seat that says "HAVE SOME RESPECT AND CLEAN THE SEAT AFTER YOU'RE DONE" or you can come up with something funny so they'll remember. you can always tell them it bugs you and be serious because it is annoying! id be grossed out too! good luck with those guys... hope they learn! power to the good aimers in the house ;) haha just kidding -ask_anything

Ok well I went to my friends house and she was flipping I have no clue what she took her boyfriend rushed her to the hospital after I left cuz she turned all blue and she wasn't breathing I'm scared whats gonna happen I can't live without her she doesn't do drugs usually it's all since her boyfriend cheated on her while he was drunk this weekend and now her cuzine/best friend died this monday and it fucked her up I think she over drugged her self...any help I can get to make myself feel better will help...plz I'm hopeless

wow, sounds like thats a lot of trauma for one person =[. all these troubles your best friend had finally got to her. i know how it feels to be impacted by your best friends troubles... its almost like your sister being sad- it really does get to you. how to feel better would to talk to someone close to you that you can trust. make sure they can listen to everything. tell them everything. this has to be a person you trust and can come to since your best friend isnt there [another best friend, your mom, dad, sibling]. you need to get all your thoughts and concerns out- even a tear isnt gonna hurt. if you cant find anyone to talk to, find a counsulor at school or around your community. if you cant find anyone- id be glad to help you as well... just leave a message in my inbox for my screen name. hope things get better real soon for you =] -ask_anything

Ok, today my mom called me fat. Well, I don't think I'm fat because I'm 13 (turning 14 in 2 weeks), I'm 5'5, I weigh 113, and I pretty skinny but I don't have a 4 pack. I don't know what to do. I think I'm just gonna stop eating and become anorexic. I don't wanna go on a diet because I get of them in a few days and they are not help. Also, I don't wanna watch what I eat because I usually eat healthy food. Please help!

first of all, mothers should NEVER tell you that unless you are wayyy over weight!! im telling you for sure that you are not overweight. you dont need a four pack to be skinny either. please dont stop eating and become anorexic because you will regret it in the long run i promise. dont even bother with the diet, they're meant for older people. if you are eating healthy food already you dont need to watch what you eat either. i think the comment from your mom got to you, and personally i think that was very wrong for her to say that. you are perfect the way you are, and i have no other way to tell you that! but i beg of you to not become anorexic because before you know it your mom might start saying, "you're TOO skinny". other than that, you should tell your mom that her comment hurt your feelings (because you seem to think otherwise). im sorry she said that to you, just remember- at this age, we're still getting those growth sperts and slimming out! you have no worries! stay strong and healthy! -ask_anything

ooh revenge can be done many ways lol... just remember you dont want to hurt anybody along the way =] yeah usually when ive heard pranks done by teens it includes: TPing, making words on the lawn with toliet paper, silly stringing stuff, if you're going to be really bad: spray paint ((try to be nice and get something easy to wash off)), umm i know this is weird but ive heard of someone putting like tons of knomes on the lawn... haha i dont know- but hopefully the revenge you want is all fun, because the real way to get back someone isnt by damaging property or anything. make sure you wont get yourself in trouble =p dont want that! dont be too harsh now! =] -ask_anything

well if you arent sure if he likes you, dont ask him out right away. the last thing you want is the wrong answer! what you should do is talk to him on his s/n, and if he goes to the same school- talk to him then too. you wanna try to get as sure as you can that he'll say yes before you ask him out. it sounds like if you two were dancing pretty close and he didnt like chicken out and move away, he might have feelings for you [it all depends on the guy]. but go for asking him out, you just might want to wait a bit until you're sure/or almost sure that he'll say yes! if you flirt with him a bit, and he does it back- usually that means he likes you! good luck with the guy and if you have any more questions just drop one in my inbox! =] -ask_anything
