I'm headed out to Las Vegas this summer, driving alone from East Lansing, Michigan. I've already got three stops (free room for the night!) planned, one in Kasnas City, KS, next to Gunnison, CO and finally Reno, NV.
Does anyone have any advice as far as road tripping tips, places to eat, stop or see along the way? I'm just looking for general tips and tricks, since I'm going to be by myself for the whole trip. Things to keep me alert and awake, which roads to take, which not to take, where construction is and that sort of thing.

the more people the better. gas gets much cheaper. you already have a free room at nights youre staying places, so i wont bother telling you to live with family. i cant think of anything else incredibly important, money is really the only issue. other than that, have fun!

running works. a cheap way is wrap your stomach or whatever in saran wrap and make it sweat, but that isnt good for you

i like to write songs or poems, well at least try. but everytime that i do at the end they always sound really stupid. so does anyone know any like tips or tricks that i could use to maybe get some decent ideas or to make it not sound so well...corny? (link)

stay away from cliche stuff, try to be original. for poems, they dont have to rhyme, so dont stress yourself over finding something to sound good.
for songs, i just started writing my own lyrics, and an easy way to get ideas is to look through the newspaper and take good articles and write about them. use metaphors and similies for comparisons instead of just boring words and saying them straight out, it makes the lyrics deeper sounding.

put toothpaste between oreos
super glue stuff to stuff you dont want to be super glued to.

Ok I use Limewire and whenever I try to download certain songs (Mockingbird for example, it says file was corrupted) no matter how many different ones I try to download. Does this happen to anyone else and what can I do about it? I love that song. (link)

ive never had that happen frequently, i can always download a different file and it will work. maybe try reinstalling limewire?

one group of my friends drink a lot and i dont really care that much about it. im not against it or anything. my only concern is that i know sometime i will be involved in a situation where i will be asked if i want a drink... the thing is, i have never drank before, i don't want to say no, but i don't want to get the reputation that i always do that stuff. whats your advice?

Ok heres the problem, i LOVE to sing, i can sing very well too. The problem is i can't preform in front of people! I am way to nervous. I can't even sing infront of my family. Its just to nerve -racking. My family says i should go out for singing lessons because sometimes they hear me but im to nervous to go out. When i get older i really wanna try out for american idol, ya it sounds stupid but i do. Its just im to nervous in front of people! Does anyone have any tips to get un-nervous, or any advice for me to go out?

look at the back at the room, not individual people. or, you could get people who support you and give you confidence and get them in the audience and look at them to cheer you up. the only way you can over come your fear of singing in crowds is to just do it

Okay, so! I'm 15/female and I met this guy last week and he seems pretty cool. He likes me and all, and I like him too. It's just that, I dont like him like boyfriend/girlfriend.
