Q: im a fifteen year old female..and i have this friend, her names jessica. shes not a horrible freind but she is very dramatic and she lies and likes to gossip..alot. well the other day i didnt feel like talking on the phone so i didnt answer her call but she kept calling, it went from the house phone to my cell phone back and fourth for almost and hour. i got sick of it and finally answered and she got mad at me and said that i was ignoring her. i told her that i just didnt feel like talking, and she got mad. now im a really nice person and i need help coming up with something to tell her so she can leave me alone already, i mean its nice to talk sometimes but im not a "talking on the phone" type of person. so i just need a way of telling her to kind of back off without coming across as being ignorant. thanks =]

I'd advise you to just tell her you're not much of a 'talking on the phone' kind of person. If you want to be blunt, you can just tell her straight up that she comes on a little too strong and she needs to distance herself from you a little. If you're looking to sugar coat it, you can say that YOU need to be distanced a little, so you can focus on some more things in your life (school, family, etc.). Either way, you definitely have to talk to her, or she's not going to change.

Q: i love my best friend [aka. Barley] but she's so annoying..what should i do? HELP!

Well, it depends. Is she a good friend? Can you trust her, and do you enjoy being around her (other than the 'annoying' problem)? If so, then the two of you need to have a discussion and work things out. Don't nitpick at her -- tell her things that REALLY bother you, not stupid little stuff. Who knows, maybe there's something that bothers her about you too. Hopefully, the conversation will bring the two of you closer to each other as friends.

Q: I really want to wear it yet at the same time I don't want others laugh at me. Individuality is very important to me, but I want to be accepted too. What can I do?

Why does it matter? Be yourself -- if you love it, wear it.

Q: 15/f. i really like this one guy who is in 8th grade and i'm in 9th grade. we hang out a lot outside of school in this one group of friends. i'm just confused because sometimes i think he likes me and my one friend in 8th grade thinks that he likes me too, its just that he has a girlfriend! so i don't know what to do. like we hang out because we are friends but its hard not to flirt with him. and once i left my friends decided to play a game of would you rather with him. this is what happened:

my friend: would you rather go out with ashley or katie (me)?
my crush: well i'd go out with ashley, but i'd rather go out with katie.

and this got me really happy because this other girl ashley is always flirting with him and he flirts back. so then i thought that this obviously means that he likes me! but he still has a girlfriend, and i figure if he liked me that much he'd break up with his girlfriend and go out with me.

but then i don't want to be mean and cause them to breakup! see this is my problem! so can anybody tell me if 1) you think he likes me and 2)what do i do since he has a girlfriend?

2] You do nothing. He has a girlfriend, and you have absolutely no place stepping in. If they break up, THEN you're allowed to hope something will pan out between you.

Q: ok so my cuzin found out about this advice site and she wants to no how to get rid of stretch marks? shes only 13 and she is kinda chunky but she doesnt seem fat shes like average i guess also she has stretch marks on her boobs,thighs and waist but i dont no how she got them at such a early age...how does she get rid of them from her body n how did she get them in the first place exspecially on her boobs....i no its a dum subject but she really needs to know whats going on shes had these streches for 8 months

Stretch marks have nothing to do with age. They are the cause of:
1] Your body growing faster than your skin stretches (in other words, her boobs/thighs/waist got bigger, but it happened pretty quickly and her skin didn't have time to accomadate it).
2] Genetics.

Even if you're small, you can get stretch marks -- for example, I have a really tiny butt, but I still have stretch marks on it.

As far as getting rid of the stretch marks completely, it probably can't be done. But she can reduce them by using cocoa butter lotion, or another lotion that specifically mentions stretch marks. =]

Q: do guys like *it* shaved or not. like do guys kno that girls should shave down there? and how do yu make it stop itching? thanks

Well, different guys have different preferences. Most (from my experience) prefer some sort of grooming. There are different ways, though.

1] You can completely shave it. From my experience, the Schick Intuition razor is really good and gives you a smooth shave. As far as itching... nothing I've used or done works. =/
2] You can wax it. It's painful, but you only have to do it every few weeks and you're less likely to be itchy, since it completely removes the hair.
3] You can trim it, which means that there's no itch, but then again, all the hair isn't completely gone.

Either way, you probably should either shave or wax your bikini line and anything that shows when you wear a bikini/panties, because it shows a guy that you do care about your down-there hair, but that you prefer not to get rid of it.

Q: okay well i really like this kid whos in 11th grade..and im in 9th..whatever thats besides the point. we talk on the phone and stuff and he seems really nice & everythingg. but then everyone is like don't get involved with him, stop talking to him now and stuff but like i dont want to. if the rumors are true..i'd rather find out myself bc i know rumors aren't always true..what should i do

Chances are, the rumors aren't entirely true, but there probably is some truth to them. You should ask him directly about them, and if you're satisfied with the way he answers, then that's your prerogative. It's your life, and if you'd rather find out for yourself, then you can do that. Tell your friends that you appreciate them looking out for you the way that they are, but that if he really is a jerk, then you can figure it out on your own.

Q: My girlfriend and I would like to know why she smell so bad down there (her vagina). :/ It smells like fish. She says she showers and uses soap and I know cause most times Im with her. But yeah.... :/ We just would like to know why? And if we can change that...

Some girls just don't smell all that good, even if they're really religious about keeping it clean.

If the smell has always been there, it's probably not actually an infection, but she should go to the gynocologist and get it checked out anyway, and they'll be able to tell her.

In the meantime, she should try Summer's Eve wipes or another sort of feminine wipe, to keep it feeling (and hopefully smelling) more fresh.

Q: like my nose has a random bump on it and i HATE it!! its hereditary in my family and like my nose it cute looking from the front and ugly from the side and idk if people notice or not...is there anything i can do??

Well, it probably won't change but chances are you'll sort of grow into it. As you grow, your head and your face will get bigger and your nose will begin to sort of "fit" better.

I'm not going to suggest plastic surgery, because I think that your nose is YOURS. You were born with it, and it's part of you. Don't change it, even if you hate it. It adds character and makes your face yours. =]

Q: Hello!

I have a fancy-dress party coming up and, although I have my costume and hair style all sorted, I have no idea how to actually, physically *do* my hair and make it into the style I want.

Basically, it's a 1950s-style "beehive" sort of do, where it's almost like a bun but bigger at the back. I think your best bet would be to go to a professional. It may cost a little more, but the hairstylist will be able to put up your hair and make sure it STAYS there for the entire party -- and if you ask nicely, she'll also explain to you how to do it, while she's doing it, so that you'll be able to do it yourself in the future. =]

Maybe a cute tank or tube top with a jacket over, and then a miniskirt and leggings with flats? It gives him the impression that you're hot and you know it, but you don't want the whole world to see your goodies either. =] As far as hair and makeup and jewelry go, just do something cute that goes with the outfit you chose -- a headband would be really great.

As far as kissing and making out (which you asked about in the additional info), first of all, you might not want to do that on the very first date -- ESPECIALLY if it's the first time you're ever meeting him. But if you're gonna do it, you're gonna do it. Just go with the flow and everything should be great.

Q: My friend is having a family crisis and her life is falling apart. I've tried comforting her, since I know how it feels. I feel so helpless, though, as if I could do more to help her. Definitely keep in touch with her and call to make sure she's okay every now and then -- if she needs space, she'll tell you. Right now, I think she probably appreciates what a great friend you're being.

If she does tell you she needs some alone time, though, try not to let it offend you or bother you. We've all been in situations where we just want some space. =]

Q: hi, what is the average penis size for a 14 year old?

First of all, if you're 14, your penis is still probably be in what I'll call the um, 'beginning stages.' In other words, you're not fully developed yet.

That being said, I don't think there IS an 'average size' for someone that young, because 14-year-old boys are usually in different stages of puberty, and everyone's different. The average size for a grown man, though, is about 5 inches (um, and that's an erect penis).

I got my period 3 years ago. I went to the doctor this year and I had my hand examined(the bones determine if I still have a chance of growing)..And my bones were fused. Yes. Your boobs will probably continue to grow until after you're 18, so don't worry about it. And if they don't grow, just embrace what you have. Hey, you've got me beat -- I'm 5'3 and a 34A. =P

First of all, don't do a DAMN thing to change yourself or make yourself different, to 'fit the mold.' That being said, I think you should try joining a club or a sport, and putting yourself into situations where you'll be around more people. Introduce yourself, get to know guys. Even if you don't actually get a boyfriend, it's still good practice for the future. =]

First, you need to not be so hard on yourself, and understand that everyone's body is different, and gains/loses weight in different ways.

Second, you need to see your doctor. He/she can tell you:
1. Whether or not you need to lose weight, and can help you do it in a way that's right for your body.
2. Tell you whether or not you have a thyroid problem or something else that's causing your weight problem.

Q: I'm a 19 year old female. I have a boyfriend and we have sex regularly. I frequently masturbate in order to reach orgasm. First of all, as far as getting off during sex goes, try masturbating while you're on top of him (it helps if he's doing all the work during this part). That is the ONLY way I can get off while having sex. But you didn't ask that.

Anyway, I have been in this situation before, and I would suggest trying to pee before sex. Also, I've learned from experience that if you focus more on the area AROUND the clitoris, instead of the actual clitoris, it dulls the senses a little bit so that it doesn't push that little bladder trigger.

You need to thank her for telling someone. If your cutting was truly getting bad, then it was her responsibility as a good friend to tell someone. I've been in your situation, and I understand why you may resent her for telling someone about your problem, but you have to understand the situation that you put her in. You tried to have her choose whether she could keep a secret that was hurting you, and watch you hurt yourself, or (even worse), tell someone and risk you thinking she betrayed you.

Trust me, she did the right thing, and even if it takes a little while, you'll figure that out. Please try to rebuild your friendship with her -- you've got a great friend, and I'd hate to see you lose her.

1] Vaseline isn't a good lubricant. Buy REAL lubricant, like KY jelly. I don't know if it impedes conception, but I do know that it's not good for a woman's body, because it messes up a woman's pH balance or whatever.
2] To find out the best time to try to conceive, go to http://www.babyhopes.com/ovulation-calendar/ and have your wife fill out the information.
3] As far as I know, women only ovulate once within one cycle, unless she's VERY special, haha.
4] My mom was pregnant and had her period all 9 months.

If you really want to get pregnant immediately, your wife should go to her ObGyn and get his/her professional opinion. The doctor can give your wife a fertility monitor to help pinpoint the best time to conceive.
