She could have the stretch marks on her thighs and waist because she either grew taller or wider faster. Her hips probably grew width wise as most women's do when they go through puberty. You can't entirely get rid of the marks but they do fade in time. They fade better if you rub cocoa butter or even wrinkle cream on them every day. But since your cousin is still young, she's not done growing so they probably won't fade until she gets a little older. I hope I helped. [ Ashumms's advice column | Ask Ashumms A Question ]
Bucket answered Monday April 30 2007, 7:35 pm: Stretch marks have nothing to do with age. They are the cause of:
1] Your body growing faster than your skin stretches (in other words, her boobs/thighs/waist got bigger, but it happened pretty quickly and her skin didn't have time to accomadate it).
2] Genetics.
Even if you're small, you can get stretch marks -- for example, I have a really tiny butt, but I still have stretch marks on it.
As far as getting rid of the stretch marks completely, it probably can't be done. But she can reduce them by using cocoa butter lotion, or another lotion that specifically mentions stretch marks. =] [ Bucket's advice column | Ask Bucket A Question ]
