Personally, I hate this website. The majority of questions are either horribly worded, incredibly easy to answer on one's own with the use of widely available resources (including, but not limited to, www.google.com), alterations of a very common question, or a combination of the three. I confuse myself sometimes as to why I continue to read random questions, only to be to be driven insane by the utter disregard for the reader of the question. Maybe I just use this website as an outlet for my rage towards the section of teenagers who upset me the most, or possibly it is just ingrained in my psyche to read over poorly spelled questions to fuel my masochistic personality. I might even be staying here to prevent the overtake of this hapless corner of the internet by ignorant and lazy teenage girls that don't know how to say "yes" to someone who asked her out by the use of common sense and correct grammar.
I have, however, found that reading topic specific questions eliminates most of my frustration. Of course, that still doesn't stop me from running into unbelievably ignorant questions such as "does doing squats really make your theighs smaller?" in the INTERNET AND WEB DESIGN topic list.

i'm a junior and guy. my friends usually like to have parties or get togethers, and i usually can't go because something comes up or i have other plans. with this group of friends, they are good guys, generally stay out of trouble, but the one day i couldn't go, i decided not to because i had to work on a project. the next day i heard one of the guys was rushed into a hospital because he was drinking too much. i dont like drinking, never have, and would like not to. so if they do invite me to a get together, should i just decline? i don't want to be left out of the loop, but personally i don't like drinking, don't really mind if others do though. what should i do...avoid it completely? will rate (link)

I have a really, really big website that I work really hard on, and it gets over 1,000 visits a day. I spend a lot of time writing the site, and researching for it, and sometimes I even spend money buying newspaper articles for my research. I do it because I like it but I DON'T like it when people plagiarize my site! I will spend a long time making a page just right and then someone will copy what I wrote and put it on their site without even saying where the info was from!
I have a page on my site explaining that if you're going to copy from me, at least put a link to me, but people don't listen. Just today I had to write another email to someone complaining because they had ripped off my site. Most times people agree to remove the stolen information or to put up a link, but sometimes they won't do anything and then I don't know what to do. Is there anything at all that I can do to prevent this from happening? It really makes me angry to see my hard work posted somewhere else without attribution. (link)

Im in a new relationship.Before we started going out we were besttt friends. sO my bf told me he doesnt know about anything right now. Hes very confused. They are a waste of time. Don't bother with them. Also, don't listen to a majority of the idiots that said you get viruses from those ads. There are no viruses. It's just a way to get your email address on a mailing list.
Or, do what I do, get the Adblock extension for Firefox and just block ads so you never have to see them.

Okay, im only 14 and i wanna have a baby SO bad. My parents dont really love me((ive been told)) so i think this would help me alot. i've babysat for YEARS and LOVE children. You aren't going to "come home" to a baby. You aren't leaving the fucking house if you have a child, and if you do, that baby is coming with you. If your parents really don't love you, then you are going to have to do a lot of that on your own. Once you hit 18, I wouldn't put it past them to kick you out.
You aren't going to be able to stay in school. What does that equate to? Assuming you CAN find a job, you are going to end up getting paid a fraction of what you could get if you stayed in school. Whether you like it or not, money runs the world, and by not staying in school, you put yourself at a severe disadvantage, and you will end up regretting that decision for the rest of your life. You can pretty much plan for your life expectancy to lower as well.
You are also having a baby for one of the worst and most selfish reasons possible. You want to have a baby just so YOU feel better? No. If you aren't financially stable by the time you give birth, you are only harming the child.
So when you're 18 with no job, no money, and no place to live, at least you'll have a baby. Better start planning now. www.babynames.com

My dog Uranus poops on the floor and I've tried everything to get him to stop. He won't pee on the floor, just poop. I even got one of those cages and made him sit with his poop for a few hours. If Uranus doesn't stop pooping in the house my parents will make me get rid of him! I don't want my parents to send him away because I know he'll get put to sleep. I'm 17/f and I've been best friends with this guy my whole life. Our dad's were friends in high school so it's literally my whole life. His name is Ryan.
Ryan has a girlfriend that I just cannot stand. Last year she got me kicked off of my cheer squad at school and since then I've despised her.
When that happened they were dating and they way she got me kicked off was by showing my cheer coach pictures of a party I was at. At my school, cheerleaders aren't supposed to go to drinking parties and things like that.
Well I asked Ryan to talk her out of giving them to my coach because quite honestly, I never did anything like that to her and I never would have so I still don't understand why she would do such a thing. But anyway, he never talked to her about it and she gave them to my coach.
During this past week Ryan had bought her a beautiful white gold ring with a bow in the middle and in the middle of the bow there was a blue sapphire. He told a few people and it got around to her.
Monday after school Ryan and I were at my locker and she came up to us (him) and asked if he got her the ring. He said yes and she replied with "Ryan I HATE blue! You know that!”
That REALLY pissed me off so I said, "Yeah and I hope he knows you're a bitch too." Ryan told me to shut up and he walked off with her.
What kind of girlfriend would say that when her boyfriend bought her such a nice, expensive gift?
Every time I try to say something about her to him he gets all mad and tells me not to talk about her. Yet, I hear her talking to him about me all the time. And they're way worse things that I would ever say about her. I even have other friends tell me that she says things about me and he AGREES with her!
Today I went over to his house and walked into his room and they were in there. All I heard was "(my name) is such a bitch why do you even talk to her?" and Ryan said, "Yeah she just gets jealous sometimes"
If I were to say that to him about her he's have a fit! I don't know what I'm supposed to do here because it seems that he just doesn't care about me. She’s a bitch to everyone including him but he still puts up with it. Why does he treat her so much better than how he treats me?

TimmyTM is right, but in addition, you also need to set the range for the new functions in order to accurately represent the absolute value equation. Find the vertex of the absolute value equation (set it equal to 0, in this case it is at [-4,0]) and use that to create bounds for the new system of equations.
