Does the prank of putting someones finger/hand in hot water (or was it cold) really make them pee their pants? and why would it?

It works if you use warm/hot water. Think about this: has there ever been a time where you had to use the bathroom, and you washed your hands in warm water first? It makes you feel like you have to use the bathroom really badly. So if someone is asleep, it's more likely to work.

I hope this was for the sake of curiosity; this is kind of a mean trick to play on someone.

is it really possible to light a fart on fire?

Yes, you can! Basically, it's because methane gas (CH4) is flammable. I know a guy who did that... I wouldn't recommend trying it.

how come some people dont get scared on roller coaster rides?

I don't get scared on roller coasters. My heart rate increases slightly but it's adrenaline and not fear. It's because some people are thrill seekers... they'll do anything to get an adrenaline rush. (Random fact: being a thrill seeker is one characteristic of someone who has an antisocial personality disorder.)

I'm not sure why I'm a thrill seeker, but I am. My sister and I ride roller coasters until we black out. It's my idea of fun.

any bigger
ive heard that if you wear a sports bra it helps

thanks
:]

and also is there anyway beside losing weight that you can make them smaller?

Haha, sports bras will definitely not help. They just keep the girls in place when you're working out. It's functional, but not attractive unless you like being flatter than a CD.

The only way to make them bigger is either go through puberty or wear a padded pushup bra. Or wear tighter shirts.

You can make them look smaller by wearing a thinner bra. Or you could wear looser shirts.

is that a good flatiron?

I think it's a good flat iron. My sister has a BaByliss and it works well.

i'm doing a play next week that is set in the 50's, but my only problem is i have no clue as to what the every day style was back then! the only two i faintly know of are those t-shirt dresses or the overly-high waisted skirts. dose anyone know of any other trends? also where can i find clothing like this, besides thrift stores? thank you so much for your help!

Here are some pictures I found:

http://www.retrowow.co.uk/retro_style/50s/a_line.gif

http://farm1.static.flickr.com/216/495094148_e98f0a1f5f.jpg?v=0

http://www.mediabistro.com/unbeige/original/50shousewife.jpg

I don't know if you'll be able to find this style in many places... if you have some ugly dress in your closet that has an all-over print, try cutting the sleeves off and adding a belt around the waist. My friend found a dress in a thrift shop one time that had an all-over cherry print with a pale blue background... it was pretty much the ugliest thing I had ever seen. It looked like a parachute at first. Then, she added a red belt to give it shape and wore it with red flats and red earrings- it looked really cute!

You don't necessarily have to wear a poodle skirt to look 50s-ish. First, go look through your closet and see what you can work with. Then, go to garage sales or stores like T.J. Maxx or Ross... you're bound to find something that will work!

do Vintage (the guitar company) have a website? its crazy, i cant find one on google at all! you'd think a company like them would have one? can anyone find it?

http://www.vintageguitar.co.uk/splash

That was all I could find... I found information about Vintage Guitar magazine, perhaps that's what you're looking for as well?

I've played guitar for a long time, and I've honestly never heard of them. Maybe they just don't advertise well.

ok well my boyfriend ask me to choose between one of my best guy friends and him and i choosed
my friend because i knew him way longer and then my boyfriend broke up with me....... was i wrong to choose my friend? also take in the fact that me and this guy friend use to date i still love him but he has a girl friend he's been dating for like a year

If your boyfriend seriously just made you choose between him or one of your good friends, that's fair reason to stop dating him. You were perfectly right in choosing your friend. Your boyfriend shouldn't have put you in that position to begin with... that was rude of him. Take this as a blessing because if someone ever makes you choose between them or another person, they obviously don't deserve you.

is it possible or okay to go to schoool looking like this?

if not, then why do people still buy those eyeshadows! for what OCCASSIONS can you possibly wear those colors!

I know a girl who wears eyeshadow like that everyday, but a lot of people think it's too much. She also dyes her hair a different color every week (blue, green, etc...) so keep that in mind. I personally wouldn't wear that much to school.

You could still wear colors to school if you just tone it down a little bit. I think you could still wear those exact colors, but just not as much eyeshadow to school.

It would be okay to wear eyeshadow like that on the weekends, at parties, or when you hang out with friends at night. It's generally acceptable to wear more makeup at night anyway.

any ideas of what i can make with a sandwich press? the food at my school sucks so im buying one for my dorm. i was thinking grilled cheese but i need more ideas?

thanksssss

I got a sandwich press for Christmas and I freaking love it. I like to make quesadillas on it. I just put cheese and lunch meat (like turkey) in a tortilla and press it. I imagine that you could also do wraps and stuff with tortillas.

I've also made regular sandwiches and then pressed them. I'm a huge fan of turkey, but you can do ham, bologna, or whatever. Also, it's fun to make open-faced bagel melts. I take half a bagel, put meat or whatever on top, and then press it.

Here are some random panini recipes:

http://search.foodnetwork.com/food/recipe/panini/search.do?searchString=panini&site=food&searchType=Recipe

Some of those look too complicated for me to decipher, but have fun with it!

EDIT:
Oh, also, they sell like precooked bacon at the grocery store in the freezer section. I think it's in a yellow box. You're supposed to just pop it in the microwave for a few seconds to heat it up, so you could use that too.

is that unhealthy?
because i prefer to sleep in tampons, but i also end up over using them. if i wear pads, ill bleed all over the bed.

It's only unhealthy if you leave it in for too long (over eight hours).

I sleep in them when I can because I always have to get up early for school or work. That way, I never leave them in too long because I only sleep for like 6 hours anyway.

However, if you think you might sleep for longer than eight hours, here's a tip. Drink a lot of water before you go to bed, so you'll have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. Then, you can change your tampon and sleep some more. It sounds dumb, but it's better than accidentally leaving it in too long.

Anyway, when you sleep with a tampon, you might want to use a pad too, just in case.

Am I related to someone if my gramma's sister is married to his gramma's brother?

Not really. I mean, technically you are slightly... just by marriage. If you wanted to date that person it wouldn't be incest.

my friend is turning 16 next week and is having a party at her house - its not like a formal sweet sixteen, its just like pizza and chips and cake and like swimming and stuff like that.
I decided to give her money as a gift but I don't know whether to give her $50 or $75.
If it was a formal sweet sixteen i probably would give $75 or even $100, but since its really informal is $50 fine?
I've known her since we were 7 so I guess that matters.

I think $50 would be fine. When I buy birthday presents for friends that I've known for a long time, I usually don't go over $50. A lot of my friends consider that a whole lot of money to give someone, so I really think that you will be fine if you give that much.

I'm 18 and I was home schooled since 4th grade...

I was wondering what everyone on here thought about relationships, because I never went to public school and I've never really had a boyfriend before that has ever really worked out and I want some input...

I'm not sure what's okay and what's not. My friends boyfriends, in my opinion, were always not very good because when they were dating my friends (and some that are still together to this day) they will/would tell other girls like "hey sexy!" and "i love you too and I miss you too" like on their myspaces and stuff and through text messages. And there was a guy I was talking to while back that would say I love you to his ex g.f and he told me he still loved her but not as a g.f anymore and that they'd never get back together and I didn't have anything to worry about but he hung out with her alone and they still say I love you, and I didn't like that so I stopped talking to him in that way but we're still friends...

But to me, that's just not stuff you should say to someone unless your interested in them. But my friends tell me it's nomral, that that's how all people act in public school and in life and what not and that there is no reason to be upset or jealous about anything like that and I got a lot of crap for not talking to this guy anymore just because of that...

So my question is, do you all think that, that sort of thing is normal and okay? And should I not let things like that bother me should I happen to date a guy that does that?

And if you think I shouldn't get upset if the guy I date does that, how do I comfort myself and not let it get to me?

I'm not terrible looking, but I'm no beauty queen and I have a good life but I do have some insecurites and I guess I do like getting attention from a guy if i like him. I don't like any attention on me when im with friends or family but when it comes to guys I like I tend to want all of their attention and it kind of hurts my feelings when someone else seems to be getting treated so nicely by whom ever it is I'm interested in at the time/my boyfriend at the time.

So, if all this "i love you" stuff and hanging out with girls alone that are "just friends" even if they've had a history before is normal and I shouldn't be upset over it, can you guys tell me how to deal better so I don't ruin any relationship by getting jealous or "overracting" (as my friends call it) and what not? I mean I never mean it in a bad way and I never knew that it was thought of as okay before, but I guess I've been too sheltered, so, please help...

P.S-I'm not mean or witchy I just don't really get it, my whole life I've always been around people older than me and I'm an only child so please don't think I'm rude because I got upset over those things, if it's a problem that's why I'm asking for help. So, please no mean remarks.

You're not an outcast, because I think you definitely have the right idea about relationships. No, it's not normal or acceptable for guys to whore around like that. I'll admit, some people in public school do act like that, but it's definitely not a good thing. If you ever date a guy and he tells other girls that he loves them, that's a good reason to break up with him.

Don't ever settle for less than the best. Even though your friends might tell you it's normal for guys to act like jerks and flirt with other people, never ever let that be acceptable. It's not considered overreacting to get upset if your boyfriend says he still loves his ex... you don't want to be his rebound girl.

You're not necessarily sheltered... your friends just have a really weird idea of how relationships should be. Good guys are hard to come by in high school anyway.

Don't sell yourself short! A guy who doesn't treat you right doesn't deserve you.

I heard somewhere that you shouldn't do crunches or any other ab workout until you have burned off the layer of fat on your stomach. Is this true?

It depends on you personally. If you are really overweight, then you should try to burn the fat off by doing cardio, running, swimming, aerobics, etc. before you try to tone your abs. That way, you can see better results.

However, if you are pretty normal sized (not necessarily Hollister skinny but maybe a size medium in t-shirts) and you want abs, go ahead and start doing crunches/situps. Some people get really frustrated when they don't get results from just crunches, so it definitely won't hurt to try to burn the fat off anyway. I think that if you start doing cardio a few weeks before you start doing abs, it will seem easier for you. But you don't absolutely have to do that if you are anti-cardio.

i bought them at coastalscents.com

im the person with the identity theft situation

Hi there! I just checked out the website, and it sounds safe. Here's the page where I found the security/privacy information:

Also, I googled the company name, and everything I've read about it seems very legitimate.

i randomly told my mom that i bought make up at an online store in the interenet and she immediately just FREEEEAAAAKKED OUT AND YELLED AND SPEECHED ME OUT

like what am i supposed to do shes making me feel guilty and like have doubts about my buying online

shud i continue to buy or is it really dangerous

she said there are identity theft online

is that true?

pleasae ansswweer all of my questions i know its all over the place but please. IM SO WORRIED

is there nothing to be worried about?

have you esperienced any of the identity theft online in ur credit card?

how about ..do you continue to buy online?
tell me stories or speeches on anything ADDVIIICCE

please and THANKS. :(

If it's a site like Gap, Old Navy, Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, Aeropostale, Target, Macy's, Dillard's, JCPenney, Kohl's, Hollister, Best Buy, Amazon, Borders, Barnes and Noble, Books a Million, et cetera... (basically any BIG store) then it is safe to use it. However, if it's some random website that you have never heard of, it's better to order from Amazon or somewhere else.

As long as you're responsible about it, buying online is safe. The only time you need to type in personal information is when you are actually buying from the website, and then you will need to type in the credit card info, billing address, and shipping address. Always print out a receipt.

Yes, identity theft is possible- but very, very unlikely, especially if you shop safely.

If you can give us a link to the website you bought from, it would be very helpful. We can help you decide if it's legitimate or not. Most likely, it's completely safe.

Yes, I do continue to buy online. I only buy from companies that I know are safe, or Amazon.

I was just wondering if it's possible to use crest white strips if you have braces?

Thanks

No, it's not. Sorry. It would make your teeth different colors. But you can start using them as soon as you get your braces off! They've worked really well for me in the past.

16/f..i'm about to be a junior in a week. and well..my wardrobe hasn't changed much. i did buy a few new clothes but found that i had enough from last year...and they're pretty good-in-quality-clothes so i thought eh. what the hell? i'll just wear them next year.
also, our family's on a budget right now..so i can't get around this. would you be embarrassed to wear the same clothes next year (in addition to a couple new) ? =\ it worries me. like what people would think...

Haha, this will make me sound like I live in a dumpster, but I still have softball t-shirts from seven years ago that I wear to school. It's really not a big deal to wear the same clothing from year to year. I pretty much wear the same clothes every year, and people still like me. As long as they still fit, why get rid of them?

Anyway, you can always try layering different stuff and combining different items to give your wardrobe an upgraded look. Even if you go to like Target or somewhere and get a five dollar tank top to wear with something, it can totally change the outfit. Here are some ideas:
