I'm going to be a junior in high school and I have no idea what I want to major in, where I want to go, or even what I really want in a college. How can I start narrowing down the search and decide where I want to apply??
You don't have to choose a major right away. Most people change their major at least once during college, anyway! If you can answer any of these questions it might help you narrow things down:
Would you prefer small or large classes?
Big city or small college town?
How far from home do you want to be?
What extracurriculars are you interested in (including fraternities/sororities)
Oh, and take the PSAT.

It's been nearly ten years since I last read that book, but I remember this part in the movie where someone spits in his face and he "turns the other cheek", like in the Christian Bible. Hello, im 17 years old and i grew up with 3 friends since pre-school. We are soo close. But 2 out of the 3 are racists. I never really cared because they didnt say anything around me. This is a toughie. Usually, if your friends don't approve of your boyfriend, it's a warning sign that he's no good. However, if the only reason they don't like him is because of his race, then it's your friends who are no good. ok well when I get mad I tend to cut myself very badly my parents found out and sent me to the doctor but he didn't do anything to help me stop cutting he just asked me questions like did your parents abuse you and stuff like that and I still cut myself more and more I get mad I don't know why am I mental do I have an illness I need help plz I'm scared I might kill myself one day
Tell your parents you want to go to the psychiatrist again, or talk to your school counselor/psychologist about your suicidal thoughts. Depression is a treatable illness, and you can get better through therapy and maybe medication.

Hey, well all girls know you should only have your period like every 28 days or something, well ive had my period since i was 11 and now im 14, well its usually pretty on schedule other than maybe a few days, and i have a long period sometimes but no big problems, well inthe past 6 weeks, and now 7 i have had my period 3 times. the first time it was just a little and last about 4 days. then the second time was 2 weeks after and i got the worst cramps like ever, and i usually dont get cramps and it lasted about 5 days and was a regular flow. well then 3 weeks later i have started again and im on still and its lasted about 8 days now, and the first 6 were ALL HEAVY like really really bad, and then i thought it was over and then when i woke up... nope and so now its back and its just a little but what should i do? should i go to the doctor? or what? thanx bunches!
You should definitely see a doctor. If you go on birth control pills, your periods will be regular, much lighter, and much less painful.

So what do you all eat when you are fasting? I am having a difficult time cutting out meat and cheese. I can manage to do without the meat, but I didn't realize how much cheese and yogurt played into my life. Any tips?
If you're "fasting," you shouldn't be eating anything at all. However, it's not a good way to lose weight, if that's what you're trying to do.

okay, i am a naturally pale person but all this summer i have been tanning so i look normal with a tan now, but its not like reeaally insanely dark like i want, like when ppl see me i want them to be like omg your tan im so jealous! so anyways now that summer is almost over, i jus pretty much am gonna go to the tanning bed but does anyone have any tips to get like black with a tanning bed by at least the middle of october! thanx! and also, i have a hard time tanning my face, feet, and chest, any ideas on how i can get these to tan like my legs??!
I assure you: if you get "like reeaally insanely dark" you're going to look like shit. I'll spare you the lecture on how bad tanning beds are for your skin, but at least do something that looks natural, for Jeebus' sake!

Well im 16 and i have been with my boyfriend for 4 years. We are both gonna be senior's this year. I know its weird cause im only 16 but i skipped a grade. We are both very popular. Go to Planned Parenthood (hopefully with your boyfriend) and have a counselor talk with you about different options. It will not be an easy decision: adoption, abortion, and motherhood all have negative aspects and the decision will affect you for the rest of your life no matter what you end up deciding to do. A large influence on your decision will be how supportive your boyfriend and parents choose to be, though, so you've just gotta sit them down and tell them. I wish you the best...
