but my blood pressure is weired. my systolic is high where as my diastolic is low 170/58.... what does this mean??

In adults, the systolic pressure should be less than 120 and the diastolic pressure should be less than 80

if you take your blood pressure after working out, it will definitely be high. your systolic seems a bit high. it is normal for it to be high while working out. but if this is your blood pressure at a resting state, check it regularly for a few days and if you continue to worry, talk to your doctor. remember, even if you are healthy, sometimes medical issues are inherited.

I'm 16/f- Sorry if this is long. One of the girls I met this year is throwing her sweet 16 party soon.At first I wasn't even on her invite list. We aren't that close, it's more like we're acquaintances. But I'm pretty close friends with a guy who the birthday girl would LOVE to go out with, and when he got his invitation to the party I was right next to him. Im 15, ive been going out with my girlfriend for 11 months now. Theres sometimes where i just want to be single and sometimes when i dont. If i had to guess, i think the feeling of wanting to be single is more often. We've been going out for a while now and i dont know if i want that major lifestyle change. I see this girl every day and basicly after every period in school. This means ill see her so much.(when id rather not see her as often if were broken up) I also dont want to see her flirting with another guy or anything like that if were broken up. So basicly what i just said is that if i do break up with her ill still have feelings for her for a while. Any advice will help. Thanks

of course the feelings will still be there, but it sounds like you dont want a big commitment and you want to be free. There is nothing wrong with that at all. If you think you wont be depressed and miserable if you break up with her, maybe its time to break it off. She may flirt with other guys, but you will flirt too, and you will have the freedom you want. Maybe before breaking up try not seeing her everyday. Let her know you want more time for yourself,friends,etc. If this works well, maybe a breakup isnt necessary.

i think it all depends on if you are ok with rejection. chances are he likes you,hopefully he does, but if he doesn't would you be okay with the rejection and awkwardness? If you are then write him a note or just tell him how you feel. More discrete ways of showing him would be making plans to hang out with him,flirting more, get him a valentines day card, etc. good luck!

Hey, I have this friend, a girl. She desperately needs to cry, but she is emotionless and cold. How can I bring her to tears or otherwise help her turn on the waterworks.

Just talk to her in a one on one setting. Try to relate to her tough times she is going through. Tell a sad story or something you went through, tell her its ok and perfectly healthy/normal to cry. Some people dont really cry, but hopefully she will at least talk to you about the issues that are going on with her.

I am currently on Amoxicillan (very mild antibiotic) and i have to take it every eight hours. i took my last dose at 4:45 pm and now it is 12 midnight. is it alright for me to take it a little bit earlier??

well, its only 45 minutes earlier. you claim its mild, so i would think its okay. but to be sure keep yourself occupied for 45 more minutes if you can. if you are about to go to bed and cant stay up any longer, i think it would be alright.

i have been dating my borfriend for a year and 3 months and we are very happy and in love with each other. i am a senior and he is a junior. he has dreamed of going to college in north dakota and a long time. we live in texas. i applied to all texas schools and i want to be a teacher. the ND school he wants is a very good teacher school. when he becomes a freshman he wants me to transfer. i really love him and i would love to go to college with him. but its so cold, so far, and my best friend wants me to go to college with her. i know i should decide this, but if you were in my shoes would you go with him?

if i were in your shoes i would play it by ear. this is 2 years away. i would tell him to wait it out and see where you are 2 yrs from now. maybe you will hate your college, maybe he will change his mind, maybe you will work it out where you can see each other 2 weekends a month, its a long way away. if ND had something for me and 2 yrs from now we were still together, i would. if things are still great a year and a half or so from now when its time to decide/apply, i would because then the relationship is getting more serious. it is all up to you , and just keep your options in mind :)

last winter i became friends with a girl named gianna who i worked with at a grocery store. i was a sophomore in high school and she was a senior but we both went to different schools. our friendship grew as the year went on and i always had a great time around her and never felt like she was judging me. at random times, she would tell me these weird reasons why she couldn't hang out. she said her parents grounded her because she was seeing her boyfriend who was two years younger than her and they didn't like the idea of that. she quit her job at the grocery store and said it was because her mom didn't like the people who worked there and that we were corrupting her, since she goes to catholic school and the rest of us go to public school. keep in mind she was no more innocent than the rest of us, and none of us are druggies or alcoholics or anything. she said she wasn't allowed to hang out with me for this reason. over the summer we started hanging out again and we got so close. she was calling me almost everyday to hang out and we always had a great time. she still said she wasn't allowed to hang out but since she drives, it didn't really matter. she was starting college in september at a local school and she was nervous so i called to wish her good luck the day before and she was so happy to hear from me and thanked me and asked if she could call me back in a few minutes so i said okay. she never called back that night, and i never talked to her again. i've called her cell phone and left messages, text messaged her, and called her house. when i called her house, she answered but when i said it was me she hung up. on new years at like 1am, she finally came on AIM but her away message was on instantly and it said she had been onlnie for 8 hours. so i i/med her saying omg gianna please answer me and she signed off again. i checked on another screen name and truth comes out she blocked me. the story gets worse, someone who works with me and worked with her in the past saw her sitting in the parking lot of the grocery store. she was sitting in her car for over an hour. it was definately her, the person went to the car to say hi but she didn't say anything about why she dissapeared for so long. i miss her like crazy, nothing is the same without her. i don't know what to think and i don't know how to get her back. ideas on anything would be a big help! and thanks to whoever took the time to read this long thing

Her behavior is extremely bizarre. Dont be too hard on yourself, you really are trying but for some reason she isnt responding. Who knows if she has family issues, or other problems. She knows your concerned, i would maybe back off a bit. She may come to you to talk, but you cant MAKE her talk to you. Its an unfortunate situation but maybe she needs time to herself and hopefully she will come around. good luck! :)

o.k. im 27 years old and im umemployed from my job because i got fired due to a managers decision problem is im having trouble finding a new job. i have been putting in applications since the day that i got fired and nobody has called me back for a interview. i going nuts because i dont have hardly any income and im bored. another thing is i want to attend this beauty school to become a esthetician so i can have a career. problem is my mom and dad wont help me pay for the school. they said i have to pay for it myself. my mom doesnt think i can go out and work as a esthetician because i have a learning disability and she thinks i will have trouble doing it, but then again she says that i can do anything i put my mind too. it sounds like she is trying to discourage my away from this.

i know how frustrating it is, trust me. im in the process of getting a job right now. what you should do is call the places back and follow up on your application. dont sit around and wait for them to call you. call back and be polite, just explain you are following up on your application. be more aggressive. i applied to be substitute teacher, heard nothing back for a week and decided to call. it turns out they lost my application! so if i didn't call, nothing would have happened. now i have all my paperwork and etc done and i am going to start soon. so the key is persistence. as for following your dreams, follow them all the way! get a job, be persistent, then save your money. you can do it! good luck hun! ;)

My boyfriend is turning 22 this Friday. I'm trying to plan something fun for us to do. Mind you, he's a laid back guy. At first, he wanted to go bowling and out to dinner, which was perfect, but then he got really negative, like he does often, and decided it would be too busy for a Friday night. I've suggested going to the movies, but we're doing that on Saturday anyway. I also suggested doing something new like going to a club to let loose but he wouldn't do that either.

maybe he would enjoy going to a comedy club, or just ordering chinese or pizza and watching some movies with you. he might just want to stay home. i would suggest a comedy club if you know of one, if you live where its warm maybe the drive in movies are open..suggest that i hope his birthday goes well :)

i know it is frustrating for you because you wish you can help and make everything better again, but the truth is the best thing you can do is be there for support. losing a friend is really hard, so it will take him time to get through this. just be very sensitive to his feelings and think about how hard it would be if you lost your friends. let him know you are always there to talk, and you are here for him. it will mean a lot and just being extra sensitive and sweet will mean a lot to him

breakups are always hard. this guy was special to you, so of course it wont be easy. telling your friends is a great idea because they wil help cheer you up by having a sleepover,night out with the girls, etc. friends are the best support system out there, so definitely let them know what happened and how your feeling pretty down. distance is a hard thing to deal with in a relationship, he even told you he still cares about you, but i think it is the right thing for both of you. breakups take a lot of time , but with time you will cheer up. it doesnt mean you will ever forget him, but your life will move on and your friends can definitely help with that hun. i know how they feel, and its ok to cry, and pelase take my advice and talk to your friends! :)

my best friend kylie and i recently got into an argument, and i decided to end the friendship.

what happened was that i found out somebody was passing around naked pictures of her. like giving them to her friends and shit. she wasn't supposed to know because only a small group of kids knew about it. the person that i found out from made me promise not to tell kylie. i promised. i wasn't going to tell kylie until i thought about it. i felt like withholding that kind of information from her was being a bad best friend. better to hear it from me than some stranger, right? so i told her. i pleaded with her not to tell anyone, that it would make me look bad, like a big mouth. she promised not to tell anybody.

to make a long story short, she went straight to the source and started bitching out the kid who passed them around. the more she tried to cover up, the more i found out she was lying to me. she even directly told the kid that i told her. she GAVE him the text messages to read, but lied about it and said he took her phone.

she wouldn't even admit that she did anything wrong. she acted like i was the one being selfish.

i told everyone that i was done with her, that i didn't want to speak to her ever again. two nights later, she apologized. i didn't expect her to do that.

now, i miss her. she's apologized and i feel like she should have a second chance. but now i make myself look stupid because i kept saying how i never wanted to speak to her again. the other thing is that i don't trust her anymore. she lied to me and kept secrets. i don't know what to do.

1) If I like a guy and want to go out with him, I flirt, try to hang out with him, get to know him, and see if we have a connection. I have been with my bf for 2 years and after hanging out a couple weeks we started to go out because we both felt a strong attraction for each other

2) the proper age to have sex. well i truly think it varies from person to person. it dependss on your morals and beleifs. i have friends who are waiting to marriage, i know people who lost it at 13 and didnt regret it, and i know people who waited until about 17 and in a deep relationship. so it all depends on you and what you beelive.

3) im not the best when it comes to fashion, but when my friends use gel in their hair to make it wavy or curly that looks really cute. accessories like long necklaces, bangles, cute handbag, some makeup but not excessive, and clothes that bring out your style nd personality, are all plusses in my book

4) soft hair. im not an expert, but i use panteine pro v conditionaer and it works great. you can also try going to a hair salon and if you are willing to spend a bit, they have all kiinds of great shampoos,conditioners to try

for 6,7,8 i think that any girl from any part of the world can be beautiful in their own way, each culture offers a different attribute of beauty.

latina/filipino girls have the pretty tan ish skin, british girls have skin white as snow,
