okay I'm not ugly I get compliments all the time
but I don't I feel like I'm ugly and i can't love myself I'm not fat but think I am.my friends love me and I like to be on the spot light ,I'm really trying to love myself.I had boyfriend ,we broke up because I was moving.now I miss him bad.I don't show it.It been three years and I can't find a boyfriend.that only makes me think I'm ugly but know I'm not,I'm really confused .how can I love myself and find a loving boyfriend. Hey.. I am sorry you're feeling that way... Make a list, or just think, of everything about yourself you do like. Spend time finding new hobbies that you enjoy... Just spoil yourself. Have your friends list a few words that they think desribe you and ehy they like you... About a boyfriend, you should just focus on yourself right now. Learn to love and appreciate what you have... me and my friend have decided to get eachother presents. well, we are like best friends so i got her something special that took me a long time and trouble. it coct about $30 but she is my best friends, so she deserved it. today she said she would tell me what she got me if i told her wat i got. it turns out she got me a $3 key chain!!!!!! i smiled and said "thanks, can't wait to see it!" but inside i was screaming. she already knows what i am getting her so i can't return it and she said she was so excited it was a great gift. im mad, is that wrong? what should i do? i dpn't wanna hurt her feelings but c'mon! please help, i rate high. i hurt my wrist playing volleyball about a month ago. my dad told me it was sprained and it would stop hurting in about a week or so. but my wrist has been hurting for a month. i can't do pushups or lift anything without it hurting. what do u think i've done to it? i rate high! (link)

You may have sprained it pretty bad... Maybe since your parents won't take you to the doctor you could try talking to the school nurse about it. You probably shuoldn't start lifting agian until it gets better. Hope it feels better soon!!

I am 14 and a freshen in high school. I live in a small town where girls have been friends since they first started school and they dont really like to hang out with anybody but their crew. The popular girls share a lot of the same interests as I do and I really want to become friends with them but they seem as if they could care less. Most guys say I am wicked hot and thats what I though it took to become popular.I want to know how to become close friends with the popular girls also want to know how to become popular.

Better question, why do you want to be "popular"? If they don't already like you and accept you for who you are, why would you want to do something to make them like you? You'll see, as soon as you get out of high school their popularity doesn't me a thing out in the real world... I'm sorry, I can't tell you how to become "popular" all I can do is suggest you learn to appreciate what you already have. Good luck.

Ok there is this guy and he is 25 and i am 14 we were together for a while but then we had to break up because my mom called the police on him.. we still talk but last weekend I lied to him and he started yelling at me about how I can't stop lying to him... I have written him emails saying I am sorry.. But in an email he sent back to me he said he didnt want ne thing to do with me.. he wrote me back saying that maybe he would be with me.. but not for a while.. should I just give up on him or should I still be friends????

My cousin knows I do this advice thing, and she has a question, but she's embarassed to ask me and she wants to ask the whole site not just one specific user. The problem is, she's 12. Would I get into trouble letting her ask it under my username? What about if I at least convince her to ask it to just one specific columnist, would that be okay? She won't tell me what the question is, so how do I go about it? I know that you're supposed to be 13+ to ask questions on this site, but... I don't know. What kind of trouble would I get in for letting her ask under my username? I won't if I'd get into trouble, like if I'd lose my modship, or if I'd be banned, but I can't convince her to ask me. So, would I be breaking the rules? (link)

I think you should just let her ask the question on your name or do try to get her to ask one specific columnist... I don't see why anyone would make a big deal out of it. :)

this isnt a health question but i didnt know what else to put it under. I got my cartilige peirced back in September and its been 3months so i can change the earing. well the lady told me i couldnt wear hoops for a whole year. why is that? i got hoops for the cartilige for christmas and i really wanna wear them but i dont wanna mess up the peircing. I was told not to wear hoops in my cartilage for 12 months because most hoops are thinner because it is a wire instead of a post. If you take your post out and put hoops in the hole may close up around the hoop's wire making it so you can only wear hoops... Just keep a post in for at least 6 months (12 months is actually what was recommended when I got mine.) You could probably get away with wearing the hoops for a day or two as long as you switch back to posts before they grow shut.

Hey Hun. Maybe you should try to find out your friend's feelings. (The one you like) Maybe even suggest going on a date. No strings attached, just to see how it would work out with both of you. If you two like it maybe it could turn into something a little more serious. I hope all works out for you, but remember every person is an island and can be an island, you don't need someone else to make your life significant. The right person will come long eventually. I'm contemplating having the bariatric surgery done. I'm 140lbs over my "ideal" weight... and the diabetes and other probs are too much to deal with for the next 10 years. I've been this same size plus or minus 20 lbs for longer than that...and I have hated being heavy... now we have insurance that will cover it!! I think I need to do it... Just wanted to see where you stand on the issue... and see if you're supportive of the idea.

Hello. A member of my family had gastric bypass surgery. I'm not sure if what you're talking about is related to that surgery or not. The surgery was very successful for her and she is looking and feeling great. There are many risks to the surgery, but if it's a matter of your health I say you should really look into it. You should research the surgery and talk to many different doctors about the surgery and all your options. Just remember, you're doing it for yourself and your health and no one else. Okay, this may sound dumb, but im confused.
If you call a suicide hotline, do they call the cops? Especially since you are in danger? I have always wondered this and my councelor at school gave me a list of hotlines because I am always thinking about suicide.

Hey Darlin'... I've been there before... No, suicide hotlines are completely confidential. They are meant for anonymous counseling basically. Most, if not all, ask you if you are in a real emergency to hang up and dial-911... Most would like to know your name and some other little information about yourself just so they know you a little more personally to help you... But you don't have to give them any of your information... I recommend 1-800-SUICIDE .. ALSO, there are a few organizations that offer counseling via E-mail. 13/M and i have liked this one girl for about a year now and her and her bf (my friend) of about 1 year and a half just broke up. How long should i wait before i do anything and should i just drop hints. i'm a really good friend of hers and i dont want to do something at the wrong time.

Hey Darlin'. The flowers may seem like a good idea... But what would your friend think about it? Maybe you should just tryin talking to the girl and being there for her..
