Okay, this may sound dumb, but im confused.
If you call a suicide hotline, do they call the cops? Especially since you are in danger? I have always wondered this and my councelor at school gave me a list of hotlines because I am always thinking about suicide.

bob745 answered Thursday January 6 2005, 3:52 am: listen you moron, suicide is not the answer to anything, you need to figure out whats really good in your life and live it day by day. just think about what you will accomplish by killing yourself.....nothing infact you will only make it harder on all the people that have to tend to your dead body. you need some love in your life go out and find a girl/boy that you like and fuck them [ bob745's advice column | Ask bob745 A Question ]
DaysGoBy answered Friday December 31 2004, 5:00 pm: Hey Darlin'... I've been there before... No, suicide hotlines are completely confidential. They are meant for anonymous counseling basically. Most, if not all, ask you if you are in a real emergency to hang up and dial-911... Most would like to know your name and some other little information about yourself just so they know you a little more personally to help you... But you don't have to give them any of your information... I recommend 1-800-SUICIDE .. ALSO, there are a few organizations that offer counseling via E-mail. Let me know if you would like me to find that address for you, or you can just try to Google it. Stay strong.. Let me know if you need anymore help or just someone to talk to.. Best of luck <3 <3 [ DaysGoBy's advice column | Ask DaysGoBy A Question ]

PeAcEoNeArTh answered Thursday December 30 2004, 11:46 am: no they offer counselation and it is all confidential. if they were to call the police then that is against the law. if you were seriously thinking about suicide then you need to call one of these hotlines or get one on one counseling. hope i helped.

PinkLady4863 answered Wednesday December 29 2004, 11:39 pm: the majority of hotlines will not call the police, but try and talk it out with you. they are a team of people that talk to you, asking you questions that seem to uplift you out of your mental state.
