he told me he liked me 3 years ago and i told him i didnt feel the same way. which was a lie i was just scared that if things didnt go well i would lose my best friend. Things got a little weird between us after that. Then like 5 months later he went out with this girl i hated. When i tried to ask him why he was dating her he said why do u even care? and we didnt talk for like 2 months after that. We started hanging out but with other people there. Things didnt work out with him and his girlfriend so to cheer him up me and him went to the moves together and after we got ice cream which we shared. 2 weeks later i finally told him i liked him then he said he wasnt looking to date anyone since he just got out of a relationship. so then i panicked and said i was just kidding and to forget i ever said it. Its been a years since then but i still really really like him and we are going to hang out this weekend should i try telling him again? (link)

You should. And no matter what he says, be honest with him. On a side note, this kinda reminds me of a song...Unapologize by Carrie Underwood. Listen to the lyrics and that might help give you confidence! Good luck with everything :)

I don't like answering questions like this because it is YOUR choice and all the people on the website can do is basically give you the pros and cons from what we read, but this reminds me of when I was younger so I'll give it a shot.
I'm going to try to not comment on your age as I was 11 when I had my first boyfriend. Just as long as your parents are okay with it and you don't make stupid mistakes like getting pregnant, it's up to you.
Is he distracting you from school? This is something that you need to ask yourself. If he is, you need to seriously consider your priorities. Your main focus should be school because your future depends on it and he might not be a part of it. So basically, how you do in school can affect the rest of your life and relationships with preteens and teens are usually (I'm not saying always) temporary and not serious. And if he's not distracting you, then you should be fine. Just remember to keep your priorities straight. I hope this helped :)

so i really need to do somthing with my hair i always leave it open
anyone know couple of great simple hair ides that take little time (link)

Braids!
There are soooo many different kinds and variations to learn. If you don't already know how to braid, I would suggest learning a regular braid and then maybe a french braid before you get into the more complicated braids. The link below is to a really good youtube channel that has lots of cool hair tutorials.
Also, you could try variations of the ponytail. The other website below also has many different cute hairstyles that are fairly easy. Just remember that it takes practice, so don't give up after the first try! Good luck :)

I have super straight hair and i really like curly hair. Problem is I've tried everything but the curls never stay even with hairspray or gel. I've tried rollers but the curls fall out two minutes later. I've used a curling iron, but once I've finished one side (and applied hairspray) i start on the other side and the one other side's curls fall out. And i can't get a perm because of sun-in and hair dye. How do i get my curls to stay?!? (link)
|
I totally understand how you feel! My hair was the same way until I found the right things to curl my hair. I can't promise that it will work for you, these are only suggestions.
I use the remington curling wand. It lasts throughout the say without any hair spray for me. I'm not sure what kind of curling iron you have, but curling wands (without the clamp) seem to work better. Also, the first website below is a good tutorial for curling your hair with a straightener. Keep in mind that the curls will only stay if you have a good heated iron. Also, ceramic irons are the way to go. Don't forget to use a heat protector!
For an alternative way without using heat, I section off my hair while it's damp and french braid it. I usually let it dry overnight and take it out the next morning. Also, the second website is a tutorial for curling hair using paper bags (I used an old pillow case, it works too).
I hope this helped! :)

Ok so Im 13/f. I want to know really nice/cute hairstyles for my age. My hair is a dark auburn colour and it is shoulder length, and pretty thick. If you can, attach pictures or if you have a specific website that would have hairstyles for my age, that would be greatly appreciated. (Im kinda growing my hair out at the moment) (link)
|
If you don't already have layers, then that's the way to go. Layers can do wonders for your hair if it done right. Also, the website below has a ton of pictures of medium hairstyles which would be around your length. I hope this helped!

I had a crush on a twelfth grade boy and I am only a ninth grader.
I am still suffering for that because I don't know if we are just friends or . . .?
Like, he is really nice to me and sometimes pokes me, messes with my hair . . .
Dad thought that he's an/a intimate/careful(I don't know if I should this word here) boy because . . .
1. He went to my house once and I was sad about the truth that he would be leaving soon, so he asked Dad to give us more time to stay together(we were going to dinner).
2. He bought the MOST EXPENSIVE ticket of my choir's concert and went to listen to it.
At the concert night . . .
During the fifteen-minute break, we talked for awhile, and when he first saw me, he gave me a big hug and said, "you did a great job."(I know it is quite normal in America, but it is kind of weird in Taiwan though yea he's a foreigner.)
And then after the fifteen-min break, he suddenly asked, "Huh, you want to hug again?"(WHAT?! I didn't do or say anything . . .) After the concert we also had a short talk and this time he asked, "Give me a hug?" Which is really NORMAL in U.S. but weird in Taiwan. Ha ha.
I don't know. My friend thought that he likes me but I don't know . . .
Today after school, he said, "You are asking me if you appeared too much . . . Just remember, don't keep appearing because it is not 'special'. OK? Get it?"(We talked about this because I had written a note asking if I am too annoying.)
The way he talks to me, always sounds like if he's talking to a little sister, or a student who knows nothing . . .
My friend said, from the way he looked at me, she knew that he must like me. And Dad also said that he must like me somehow because they had a conversation . . .
Dad: Do you think Miya is childish?(WHAT?!)
Him: No. I think it's fine. People this age should be like this.
And today, we had lunch together.
He suddenly said, "I am sorry I haven't have much time to call you these days."
"It's fine!" I said, and I wonder why he suddenly mentioned that . . .
Then he said, "I am happy and thank you for the talk."
Then he smiled and left . . .
I don't know . . .
I have been thinking about this . . .
Well, dearest Ming . . . I hope this is not bothering you too much . . .
Looking forward to hearing from you!
I just want to know how he probably feels of me and get some advice . . . I am really worry . . . (link)

With some guys, it's hard to tell. I was in a similar situation awhile back and the guy just turned about to be a player. So be careful because he is older than you (the age difference is important because of maturity).

Ok so today I made I huge discovery! I found out why I am so shy! But I need your help to overcome it. I think the reason is that I want to be who others want me to be, in other words, I want everyone to like me and be my friend. So until I know them well enough, I am shy! This doesn't only effect my friendships but it effects my relationships. I have had three relationships and they all went badly because of me...mostly. I close up and only text them, I get scared to talk to them in real life! Then they get tired of that and they break up with me. I am SUPER DUPER UBER determined to stop that! But how??????? I am sick of sitting around being the shy girl who nobody knows! I mean you can kinda see my personalitly through this right? Am I awesome? Or just annoying?!? IDK! But if I suddenly become out there and outgoing then they will all be like, whoa your weird...you are supposed to be quiet! UGH! Being held down to just the people I know now and my family is boring! How do I become "out there"? ...lol... I don't have good parents so I have NO CLUE what a real good relationship looks like so I need to know that too. Because that is why I hide in a nut whilst in relationships...I think thats it. Thanks for helping me! :D Do you think I have a personality that most people would like? Yea that's it ok now BYE!!! btw I am 13 years old... (link)
|
I completely understand how you feel. I am just starting to get over my shyness. I just realized that I'm not going to be friends with everybody and not everybody is going to like me. Also, I'm in marching band which has opened me up to a lot of new people. So maybe you could try joining a school club or some other activity where you could meet other people. You sound like a really nice person, I think you should just try to open up more to other people to have better relationships. It's not as easy as it sounds, but I promise it will get better once you are able to be more comfortable around others. If you ever need somebody to talk to, just send me a message. I hope this helped and good luck :)

In October 2011 I had minor scratches on my arm and I can still see the scars clear as day and its now February 2012. Is there something I should be concerned about? The scratches were no worse than if a cat scratches you. (link)
|
Scarring is actually good. It means that your body is able to replace skin after an injury. The website below has some good information about various ways to get rid of scars naturally if you are self conscious about the scars. Although, if you are really concerned, just schedule a visit with your doctor.

So I'm 18 and I've had to do math homework for many years and I've pretty much always hated it and it's gotten to the point where I'll do it but with homeworks I don't get I just can't seem to have the motivation to focus I failed this alg 2 class last year and am retaking it. I'm really worried about failing it if I do I won't graduate any advice would be appreciated. (link)
|
The key to motivation and focusing is rewarding yourself. When you have to do to homework, give yourself an incentive for finishing it. Give yourself an even bigger incentive for getting 100% on it or studying for a test. That way, doing homework won't still be so boring and you will be more motivated to understand what you are doing as well.

I'm 13 years old. I started my 1st period in December. My period legit comes every other week. What should I do to stop it? (link)
|
You can't necessarily stop your period. Because you just got it a few months ago, it is still regulating. However, you should talk to your mother about it (she can help you more than this website) and consider going to see an obgyn for a checkup.
|
I know this sounds stupid, because it is. One of my friends who is a girl is persisting in a quest to straighten my hair. I don't really care, I just feel like I would look weird. Should I just give in and let her do it so she can have the satisfaction of knowing whether or not she's right about how I'd look? Again, I don't really care. So, no hurries with this one. (link)
|
It's up to you. If you are afraid of looking weird, have her try it later in the day on a weekend where you probably won't go out so you can wash your hair that night and no one else will see it.

I feel fat and i want to lose weight. Any Ideas? i wanna be skinny (link)
|
First off, I want to say that starving yourself, binging, or throwing up after you eat (which are common eating disorders) are NOT the answer to solve your problem. All they will do is destroy you body.
I too struggle with extra fat that I don't want. I try to eat healthier and include vitamins, fruits, and veggies in at least one meal per day. Avoid junk foods and eat fruits or a granola bar for a snack instead. *A little tip, it is better for your body to eat more meals with a smaller portion than it is to eat 1 huge meal per day, so keep this in mind.*
The other thing you need to do is exercise. Try to create an exercise plan where you do various exercises for all parts of the body, to balance it all. For example, you could do 15 minutes of cardio and then a few sets of abdominal workouts and push ups (you can research the specifics online). If you don't have time to exercise, there are plenty of easy mini exercises you could do while doing other things (it's very hard to describe these; if you want more information on them, just send me a message and I'll go more in depth). Exercise is important for your body for very many reasons (I won't go too in depth) and it is recommended that you exercise for about 30 minutes a day.
I hope this helped and good luck with losing that weight! :)

Well i have my period and i dont want it to leak during school. What Should I Do (link)

You could wear thicker pads and bring extra to change during the day (stick it in a bag or hidden in a pocket) if you can.

So, Im a 13 year old girl who cuts. I started at 11. Its nothing big. Im happy most of the time. Except at home. Im not looking for people judging. I have about 7 people i talk to about everything. But only 2 know it all. Im just wondering, what to do? How can i stop? Is there an easy way out? How do i avoid questions about scars? Do i just say i cut myself? Or do i stay silent? What can i do to get rid of the scars? Someone?? (link)
|
I started cutting when I was around your age for similar reasons as you described. I talked to my closest friends about it, and I found out that a lot of them were in the same boat as me. Finding somebody who understands what you are going through and talking to them really helps. Cutting can become addicting. Eventually, the addiction to it was actually what made it hard to stop. One thing that really helped me was to get rid of all the things that I used to cut myself. Every time I got the urge to cut, I would think about everything that I loved in my life and everybody that loved me. Tell yourself how much you hurt the people who love you when you cut yourself. As for the questions about scars, you could try wearing clothes to cover them up and using some of the scar fading stuff one of the other users mentioned. Also, you can wear big chunky bracelets or a watch. Whenever somebody asks you about it, you don't necessarily have to tell them anything. I would avoid telling people that you don't trust. I told one of my friends who ended up blurting it out on the bus one day. And there were some people who bothered me about it. So don't make that mistake. All of my physical scars are gone (they faded on their own) but the hardest thing for me was getting rid of my mental scars. It's not bad, it's just that getting rid of the feeling that cutting helps is crucial in the steps to recovery. I'm really proud that you want to stop. It's a long process that's different for everybody so good luck :)

for some reason, i get really nervous talking to certain people. im fine in groups of 3, but when it comes to one on one conversation i get really tense and can't ever think of what to say. sos! feels awful (link)
|
Try to calm down and relax when you talk to other people. When you are talking one on one with somebody else, it might help to imagine that there is somebody else there too. Or you could pretend that you are talking to somebody that you feel comfortable talking to, like a close friend or a parent. This might help build your confidence. I hope this helped :)

what do i get a guy friend for his birthday (link)
|
Anything that he likes...
Like maybe a game, CD, or movie.
Or if you have any inside jokes, something related to that so your gift will be unique and specially from him.
|
Okay so, I reaaallly like this guy. Problem: He suffers from depression and anxiety/ panic attacks. And I really want to help him, but i don't know what to do. Please help! (link)
|
Just offer your support. I understand on a personal level what he is going through. In the end, it was the support that I got from my friends that helped me cope with it. Be there for him and make sure he knows it. If you can, try to get him to calm down and relax when you hang out. I hope this helps! :)
|
Well I used to date this boy and he broke up with me and he said we will probably get bac together but now he is kinda rude. idk what to do (link)
|
Get over him. His actions are speaking louder than his words. If he's going to be rude to you, then most likely he's not going to get back together with you and even if he wanted to, would you want to get back together with somebody who treats you rudely?
|
How do I know when my body changes when I go threw puberty? (link)
|
It will vary depending on your gender. Generally girls begin their menstrual cycle (or their period) and begin to develop curves and breasts. Guys' voices change and start to get a lot of hair. The website below has good information about puberty. I would also suggest talking to your parents about it.
http://kidshealth.org/teen/sexual_health/changing_body/puberty.html
|
I cut myself of depression, and so does my friend.
I want to stop doing it, but I don't know how.
Please give advice! (link)
|
Everybody is different. I stopped cutting without other people's help because I realized that I have a wonderful life and so much to life for. So my advice to you and your friend is to help each other out. You have somebody who understands what you are going through and together you can both find happiness in your lives and the positive things that make you smile and laugh. Also, one thing that I realized last year when my brother was in the hospital is that cutting yourself doesn't help anybody. Sure, it may seem like a way to get away from everything, but it harms your body and it hurts the people who love and care for you too. Please stop cutting, I know it's hard but be strong. It is possible. If you want somebody to talk to, just send me a message in my inbox and I'd be happy to help :)
