I wonder if we are more then friends or what . . .

Question Posted Tuesday February 21 2012, 5:09 am

I had a crush on a twelfth grade boy and I am only a ninth grader.
I am still suffering for that because I don't know if we are just friends or . . .?
Like, he is really nice to me and sometimes pokes me, messes with my hair . . .
Dad thought that he's an/a intimate/careful(I don't know if I should this word here) boy because . . .
1. He went to my house once and I was sad about the truth that he would be leaving soon, so he asked Dad to give us more time to stay together(we were going to dinner).
2. He bought the MOST EXPENSIVE ticket of my choir's concert and went to listen to it.
At the concert night . . .
During the fifteen-minute break, we talked for awhile, and when he first saw me, he gave me a big hug and said, "you did a great job."(I know it is quite normal in America, but it is kind of weird in Taiwan though yea he's a foreigner.)
And then after the fifteen-min break, he suddenly asked, "Huh, you want to hug again?"(WHAT?! I didn't do or say anything . . .) After the concert we also had a short talk and this time he asked, "Give me a hug?" Which is really NORMAL in U.S. but weird in Taiwan. Ha ha.
I don't know. My friend thought that he likes me but I don't know . . .
Today after school, he said, "You are asking me if you appeared too much . . . Just remember, don't keep appearing because it is not 'special'. OK? Get it?"(We talked about this because I had written a note asking if I am too annoying.)
The way he talks to me, always sounds like if he's talking to a little sister, or a student who knows nothing . . .
My friend said, from the way he looked at me, she knew that he must like me. And Dad also said that he must like me somehow because they had a conversation . . .
Dad: Do you think Miya is childish?(WHAT?!)
Him: No. I think it's fine. People this age should be like this.
And today, we had lunch together.
He suddenly said, "I am sorry I haven't have much time to call you these days."
"It's fine!" I said, and I wonder why he suddenly mentioned that . . .
Then he said, "I am happy and thank you for the talk."
Then he smiled and left . . .
I don't know . . .
I have been thinking about this . . .
Well, dearest Ming . . . I hope this is not bothering you too much . . .
Looking forward to hearing from you!
I just want to know how he probably feels of me and get some advice . . . I am really worry . . .

With some guys, it's hard to tell. I was in a similar situation awhile back and the guy just turned about to be a player. So be careful because he is older than you (the age difference is important because of maturity).
