Avoiding Distractions and Focusing on Homework

Question Posted Thursday February 16 2012, 5:45 pm

So I'm 18 and I've had to do math homework for many years and I've pretty much always hated it and it's gotten to the point where I'll do it but with homeworks I don't get I just can't seem to have the motivation to focus I failed this alg 2 class last year and am retaking it. I'm really worried about failing it if I do I won't graduate any advice would be appreciated.

The key to motivation and focusing is rewarding yourself. When you have to do to homework, give yourself an incentive for finishing it. Give yourself an even bigger incentive for getting 100% on it or studying for a test. That way, doing homework won't still be so boring and you will be more motivated to understand what you are doing as well.
