Does sex really bring 2 people closer???

Not always. It's a misconception some couples have. Yes, it's possible it can bring the relationship even closer if you already have a strong relationship with that person. But it can also cause complications. It just depends on a variety of things including the people & the relationship.

Can I wear tampons for my whole period, or do I have to alternate using tampons, then pads, then tampons? I only have tampons, so would it be dangerous if I only wore tampons the whole time, and just changed it every few hours? I have liners too that I wear at night though.

No, you do not need to alternate. It's only dangerous if you leave your tampon for about 8 hours without changing it. You should be fine, trust me.

I am getting a new labtop for school soon and I have had no experience in buying one---Here are the brands I was considering: Dell, Gateway, HP--My pricing range is for under $1000 (including Microsoft Office & Anti-Virus)..Can anyone recommend something to me and tell me your experience with your labtop?

I've had a Dell Laptop that has been pretty good to me for a little over 3 years & @ the time it was $650. It seems like more problems occur with laptops though. Some will overheat after so long, you'll have some kind of problem with the battery, etc. I, personally, hate laptops besides having the ability to travel with it. I never thought I could say this, but I actually prefer desktops & I'm definitely getting one when I get the money. But if you are set on a laptop, get a Dell or HP. I've never had experience with a Gateway laptop, so I wouldn't know about that one.

I'm going to describe how I dress and I would like you to try to classify me as whatever typical highschool clique you think i sound like.(prep, goth, etc.)

I have several vera bradley purses and I carry them often, I own 2 lacoste polos, but that's all the designer stuff i have. 99% of my clothes are from american eagle, Delia's, A&F, Aero, and Hollister. I also have some emo items from hot topic that I don't really wear that often though. I have really fair skin but I wear black eyeliner and black mascara. Always. I don't always wear jewelry, but a lot of times I'll wear a necklace from AE.

so what do I sound like to you? Oh, and if it helps- I'm always involved in theater. I don't know if that matters though.

First of all, I don't classify anyone, especially by the clothes they wear, simply because I am an adult & I'm not high school. I don't understand what you are trying to get from people here. But all I can say is - You sound like YOU. Be your own person & do/wear the things you love because its what YOU love. Don't get caught up in stereotypes & what other people think is "cool." When you get out in the real world, you'll learn no one talks like that or throws people into categories. It's a whole different world out there & someday you'll realize how childish people still are in high school.

I'm going to sleepaway camp for a month and a half and am leaving my boyfriend. What should i say to him? I might hook up there but i really wanna come back to him after!

Like I say to other people who are in your shoes: If you were in a strong relationship & truly cared about your boyfriend, you would NEVER think about hooking up with someone else. I know I would never be able to do that. We all have "needs" & a month & a half may seem like a long time to go without them. But if you are the type to give into temptation just to meet these needs, you clearly have commitment issues. Reevaluate your relationship before making a decision. If you want to stay true it shouldn't be hard to not give in. But if you doubt you can remain faithful, then break things off before you really hurt him.

I was wondering about the birth control YAZ. I really do not want to gain weight and I heard on this pill you don't but you have extremely bad mood swings. Is this true? Also is there any other pill where you don't gain weight, I know that it is different for everyone.

Each person's body is going to react differently. There is no birth control out there that is guaranteed not to give you any side effects such as weight again & mood swings. The best thing would be to talk to your doctor & see what brand is good for you. They'll put you on it & if you are experiencing any negative side effects, you can always switch to another brand. From personal experience, I've never experienced any serious or extreme side effects. It's very well possible you won't either. But like I said, it all depends on your body.

I'm not sure if its the way my hair is or if I'm not using the right product or because I wear hats while my hair is wet sometimes.
The problem is I'll go take a shower, shampoo, condition my hair usin Pantene Pro V Always Smooth (aka Smooth and Sleek), and then I'll let my hair dry, and it comes out soo unbelevably frizzy, and bushy and all wavy in all different directions. My hair is kind of long (its about maybe 3 or 4 inches long, and I have bangs in the front which cover one eyebrow, they split at around the other eyebrow).

I don't use any hair product other than condition. I cant see why my hair comes out thsi frizzy. I do wear a hat to bed most nights of the week, sometimes while my hair is wet so it flattens the hair out otherwise I look absolutly horrible, like I jsut came out of a bus wreck.

Can anyone tell me if myhair is damaged, needs product, or just needs help...

All you need to do is switch to a new brand of shampoo & conditioner. Sometimes your hair becomes so used to the products you use that they stop working (or working as great.) Also, buy an anti-frizz product to apply to your hair after you step out of the shower. I have tried so many brands over the years & the best one I can suggest is Sunsilk Anti-Frizz 24/7 Creme. It's VERY affordable & works wonders (about $3 @ Walmart or Target.) If you can afford something more expensive, try S-Factor Lusterizer (along with S-Factor Dream Drops). Both are about $30-$40 @ Toni & Guy or any salon that carries that brand. They last a long time, so it's worth it. :)

My boyfriend has been in Europe for two weeks already, and he'll be there for another month. I'm very lonely because we are very much in love. I've kept myself busy by hanging out with friends I haven't seen in a long while, and also trying new things. But at the end of the day, I still miss him and I get very sad at night. I have no way of calling him because he is with a school group and phones weren't permitted. Also, when I'm around other guys I try to get close to them to make up for missing my boyfriend which I am very afraid will lead to cheating even though thats not who I am.

How do I control my sadness and my urge to find another guy to comfort me? (Female, 15. Boyfriend, 16)

If you were TRULY in love with him, you wouldn't even THINK about cheating on him no matter how lonely you got. That is just NOT love. You have every right to feel sad & want to seek comfort. But you're acting needy & looking for the wrong type of comfort. Continue to hang out with a group of friends, go to the gym, become productive & get involved in something to keep you mind off of him. Don't be put into certain situations that would urge you to cheat. You are only going to hurt your boyfriend (& yourself) if you make that mistake. There's nothing else to do besides remind yourself that he WILL be back & it's not the end of the world.

Ok well its summer and all and i want to try to do a airbrush tan and the one where someone does it for you. it takes me a while to get tan and when i do it goes away after like a week....okay so i was wondering does it really work? or does it turn you orange?

I was always iffy about the idea of airbrushing/spray tan, until a few days ago. I finally decided to try spray tan when I knew a few people who went to my tanning salon & actually looked really good from it. There are things about it that aren't great & there are things about it that are wonderful. I believe the paler you are, the more orange your results will be. I am naturally pale & when I went, it did look a little orangish, but ONLY for the first day. The thing is, if you don't want orangish blotches/streaks you have to: shower/exfoliate beforehand, don't wear any makeup & apply lotion afterwords to even it out. Yes, it really is a hassle the first day, so don't go on a day you plan to go anywhere or wear nice clothes. My clothes got gross (I expected it & I was prepared), I had to be careful with what came in contact with my skin because anything that rubbed against it would cause a streak or some type of uneveness on my skin. Technically, it wasn't completely set in/dry until about 5 hours later. I had to apply lotion to continue evening it out about 2-3 times before the day was over. The next morning, the orangish went away after my shower & it looked completely fine! It actually doesn't look bad AT ALL if you know what to do & do it right. It only cost me $15 for one session when I went. Expect to pay anywhere from there to $30 a session & go 2-4 times a month to maintain it. I don't know how much more it is to someone personally do it for you. The upside of it is - you don't need to worry about skin cancer. I am someone who has definitely had too many years in a tanning bed & will never get in one again. So the spray tan/airbrushing is definitely a better alternative, even if I have to do a few things to get the results I want.

is it bad or wrong that i still sleep with a stuffed animal? Its a white tiger named Snowball. even though i share a bed with my boyfriend, if i dont have snowball i have a hard time falling asleep. is there something wrong with me? btw im 19/f if that makes any difference

As long as it doesn't cause any trouble, there's absolutely nothing wrong with sleeping with a stuffed animal. I'm 19 & I sleep with the stuffed animals my boyfriend gave me. :)

Sometimes I have to hold my urine until I can go. During school, I never go during passing period only if the next class is close by. Otherwise, I go to the next class. Sometimes I have to go but I wait until I have lunch time. Once in a while I wait about 3 hours until I go use the restroom. Is this bad for my bladder? My counsin said it isn't good for me by holding it for that long.

-Confused

No, it's definitely not good for your bladdar. If you continue, you will come to a point where you'll suddenly feel the urge to go & won't always be able to hold it in. Or even worse, you can end up with a bladdar infection. The only thing I can say is to go to the restroom when you need to go. I don't think your teachers or anyone can refuse you from going. If it becomes excessive during a class & your teacher has a problem with it, try drinking less liquids or have a talk with your teacher about your medical situation.

19/F

To give you some background, I've been working at my new job for just under 2 weeks now, and I'll be here until the beginning of September. I'm working (and living) at a resort in the mountains in British Columbia, but my home is in Ontario. So I'm really far away from home. I had to leave my friends, family and boyfriend behind to take this job because I really needed the money for tuition and rent in the fall.

I really like the people out here. They're nice. But I still feel really lonely. I miss everyone from at home, and I miss my boyfriend most of all.

Also, I'm getting really discouraged. I feel like I'm doing everything wrong while I'm working, but nobody notices if I'm doing things right. I keep being told off by people for little things that I miss. Every time someone else is busy, I'm asked to take on extra work, but nobody helps me out when I need it. My job is boring and tedious. It requires me to be on my feet for up to 10 hours a day, and my back hurts so badly sometimes that I have trouble breathing. I can't do anything but rest when I'm off, because I'm still in pain days later.

Any advice on how to not be miserable for the entirety of the 80 days I have left?

I can somewhat relate to you as far as being away from family, having to take on extra work & being exhausted when you get home. I would never say to give up simply because your job is hard. It wouldn't be called work if it was easy. I know the first couple of weeks are stressful because you are still trying to get the hang of things & it's easy to get frustrated & discouraged when you can't. I'd suggest talking to your boss & telling her/him everything you told us. If that doesn't work & changes can't be made for you as far as proper training & the amount of work thrown onto, don't even bother. You should never work for a company who doesn't care & isn't willing to help you become more efficient @ your job.

Also, you should never force yourself to work a job your body cannot physically handle. I know I've been having major back problems for almost a couple years & I've come to the conclusion I have carried all my stress on my back. Try pacing yourself, taking deeper breaths & not letting things get to you too much. Overreacting & worrying too much can cause anxiety attacks which COULD be a cause of problems breathing.

Like I said, talk to your boss & see what can changed. Try walking into work with a different mindset (I know, it's really hard to do sometimes) & see if that helps of those physical problems. If not, try taking on a lighter position @ a company who really appreciates you & your hard work. :)

OK.
I'm going to have dinner with this guy I have huge crash with it.
The dinner is for both of our birthdays (we have birthday at the same week), and there're only going to be only two of us for the dinner.
Any suggestion where/what kind of restaurant we can go?

Olive Garden, Red Lobster, the Cheesecake Factory (that's where my boyfriend took me for my birthday) :)

You can go to whatever type of restaurant you'd like. But be sure to spoil yourselves, it's your birthday & that's a good enough reason. :D

Hey there, you mentioned that you work for a medical office.

Anyways, I live in San Diego and my dad was recently taken to the hospital. He passed out while driving, drove his car off the road, destroyed the car, and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. He's fine and everything and will most likely make a full recovery.

however, he needs to stay in the hospital for a week and he needs back surgery to insert a plate inside his back. Would you happen to have an estimate for the cost of all this and how much insurance should cover?

Oh, and we also live in san diego, if that helps.

Well I can definitely say that the ambulance ride was necessary. Since he was not conscious & could not safely get to the hospital on his own, his insurance should definitely pick that up. I cannot see him paying a dime for the ambulance ride, period.

I don't do hospital billing, so I'm really sorry I can't even help you there. I would say it depends on what plan he is on with UHC.

Since he is covered with insurance, I wouldn't worry about TOO much coming out of your pocket. I'm almost sure the insurance will pick up most of it. I'd call the number on the back of his United Healthcare card & talk to a customer rep. They will be able to tell you his benefits/ what is covered/ what isn't, a rough estimate of what you'll owe, etc.

Sorry I couldn't be that much about that.

Would anyone to happen to know the cost of an ambulance ride to a hospital and the cost of living in a hospital for about a week? Also, how much would insurance cover if your insurance company was United Health Care?

I used to work for Southwest Ambulance in their billing department (& I do medical billing now), so I'll probably be a lot more helpful. There is a flat rate for the ride of about $650 dollars plus mileage. Depending on how far you are planning to ride in the ambulance & the other things that may be administered to you during transport (Oxygen, etc), I'd say you're looking @ an average of $750-$800 for the ride. (Expensive, I know.) I'm not TOO familiar with United Healthcare guidelines as far as ambulance billing because I worked mostly Medicare. But I know that UHC, like Medicare & other insurances, will cover it if the ride was medically necessary. By medical necessity I mean -- could you have gone to the hospital safely by other means (car, taxi, wheelchair van)? If so, then UHC may not pick up your bill. For example: you could have no legs & call an ambulance for a headache or nosebleed (a lot of people call for that reason, believe it or not) & UHC may not cover it because you could have gone by a wheelchair van. There are certain situations where I HAVE seen UHC pay when I didn't think they would, so I guess it all depends on how it's billed. If you gave me your reason for the transport, I could probably give you a better idea if UHC would pay it or deny it. But if you call an ambulance simply because you don't want to drive yourself, you may end up with the bill. BASICALLY, don't call for an ambulance unless you truly need it. As far as hospital stays, I am not too sure; that's a broad question. It all depends on the reason & what you need during your stay.

hheyy ;] for the freshman team in cheerleading do you know how many spots on average there is open considering 19 girls tried out. :]
i screwed up my cheer a littlee, but my dance was pretty good & my backhandspring was like basically perfectt. what are my chances of getting in. thankss :]

Actually, I know absolutely nothing about cheerleading. I guess it depends on your school. & as far as your chances - it all depends on your experience & how well you do @ try outs. I couldn't even give you an idea. But talk to the coach or whoever is in charge of cheerleading & see what they say.

if i put spf 15 sunscreen on could i still get tan? i want to get darker but i just dont want to burn. so if i want to get tan would it be better to use it or not?

Instead of sunscreen, use tanning oil with a low SPF of 15-20. It'll help you tan AND prevent you from burning (as long as you don't overdo it).

i know they looked at my application because they went over all of them over the weekend. and i know its good to call to show them that yur interested, but what do i say when i call?

I am assuming you are referring to a job application. Call & ask to speak to the manager who does the hiring. Tell them your name & you are interested in the status of your application. That's all. & yes, it's definitely a good thing to call & follow up on your application. It shows you are really interested in working for them. :)
