Simply call them, tell them you put in an application. Tell them you really want the job,
and you were wondering if the position has been filled yet. If it hasn't, you can also ask when they might no something. Because if they aren't going to be hiring you, you will need to look somewhere else for employment.

They will probably look up your application which gets it that second look if the job hasn't been taken. It also shows them you want the job, and as a result will probably actually come to work everyday.

Call between 9am and 5pm since that is when most managers work.

Good luck! :)

I am assuming you are referring to a job application. Call & ask to speak to the manager who does the hiring. Tell them your name & you are interested in the status of your application. That's all. & yes, it's definitely a good thing to call & follow up on your application. It shows you are really interested in working for them. :)

script:

hey, is _____ available?
...
hi, this is ________, i applied for a job recently. i was wondering if you have any spots open for me.

from there, just answer any questions they might have, and if they say no, reply with 'okay. thank you anyways' just be polite and confident. remember, the longer you wait the less chance you'll get the job. good luck!

:]
