Q: It is pretty much impossible for me to empathize/understand people who believe in God and religion. I am fully against both of them, for a long list of reasons that I don't need to go in to. The deal is, people tell me I'm being sacreligous/a heretic/going to hell, but I can't understand where they're coming from AT ALL. To me evangelists and deeply religous people just seem like pitiful, misguided puppets of a nonexistent power. It tends to screw up my relationships with people.... Any advice?

Q: I'm so messed up I'm agnostic thinking about turning back into a christian or turn into an athiest.. I'm so scared if I turned into an athiest I'll go to hell If there really is a god... If I turn into a christian I'll be believein in something that may not be real? I cried about this.. Should I just turn into an athiest and if there really is a god go to hell for it.. Or should I turn into a christian and believe and god and maybe go to heaven if god is real?

uhh why would you cry over this? maybe you should learn to chill out about stuff beforeyou make any important decisions.

Q: Here is the deal.. Lately I've been thinking alot about if god is real or not.. I don't know if I should believe it.. I mostly think that life was created by mostly scientific reasons.. The bible could really be made up from along long time ago..Nobody really knows right? Has anybody ever been touched by god? If I do not believe in god what would I be?

Theres actually no proof whatsoever for the bible. It was written by human beings, not god. I think most people who believe in god claim to have been "touched" by him in one way or another. Personally I don't believe in any of it and am an atheist myself. I believe the bible, christianity, as well as any organized religion were created to control the people. Throughout history church doctrine has been refuted by science (gravity, heliocentrism, etc) and it is continuing today (evolution). The church and science have always been at odds, and things in the past religion has refuted is now widely accepted because of reforms within the church. I believe there will come a time when religion becomes obsolete because of science and people won't feel that they need something to worship anymore.

Q: Ok, so I need to decide where I want to study abroad ASAP. Here's my choices:

Australia
New Zealand
Italy

All 3 awesome places...
Anyone been to any of these places?
Any opinions or suggestions?

i would definately choose Italy, then you can visit the rest of europe, while if you're in Australia or New Zealand you're kinda stuck there.

cavemen and such were the first "people" on earth. how can all these people deny SCIENTIFIC PROOF that they existed much longer ago than the bible credits? the truth is its not really in their place as 14 year old girls to be denying the scientific evidence and research conducted by the greatest minds in the world...its plain arrogant. the process of evolution is a THEORY, not a hypothesis, meaning it is very well researched and tested. people act like theories are things scientists pull out of the air, which is not the case. if these people were consistant they wouldn't believe in anything because hardly anything in the scientific world is a fact or law. so yeah the bible is a load of BS

I ask, because if it was only up to them to populate the earth hen surely incest must have taken place :-s

Adam and eve could have lots of children but then when they died there would have just been brothers and sisters left so that means that they wuld have had to make babies with eachother to make more people.

Is that what happend? i know it wasnt illegal back then but it's just so icky.
i know its a wierd question to ask but no one else ever talks about how people were made.

Q: My GPA is a 4.1 something, and I am very proud. But this semester, I'm taking an AP class and it's extremely difficult. I don't know if I can even pass and I'm getting worried. Please answer the following questions:

1) Is getting a D bad?
2) Is failing one class bad?

I know that I'm not aiming for a D nor an F, but I'm just wondering. Please don't be mean or discouraging, yet be honest, too...=(

ap classes aren't bad...but if you get a D its like getting a C really so yeah it'll bring you're gpa down...and if you fail you dont get the AP credit so it pulls down your gpa for nothing. i can probobly help you more if you said which ap class it was?

hmm i've heard thats kinda hard...but not too bad you can at least pull off a b. but next year or w/e i would def take ap us history its sooooo easy. but as long as you study an dstuff you should be fine. o an id get the dbq down early it will help your grade

Q: For my theater class we have to tape a comedian for about 3 minutes and mimic him exactly. Well, I know that I can find some on T.V. like ComdeyCentral and stuff but I was wondering if anyone knew how to find some online? Like a clip of their performance or something. I don't have a way of tapping it from T.V. so the online thing would be easier. Thanks.

i would go with jerry seinfeld he would probobly be the easiest. you could prob download him from limewire or before every seinfeld episode theres like a little bit of him talking. im sure hes online somewhere too just google it hes very popular im sure you'd find something

Q: Hey! I'm in my first year of college, and I'm having trouble. It's honestly hard for me to pay attention in class. All teachers do is lecture, lecture, lecture, give a test, and repeat it all over again. I TRY to pay attention and take good notes, but it's never good enough. I've failed half of my tests so far. And since I have 4 more tests coming up within the next 3 weeks, I'm really nervous about those too. You HAVE to do good on tests, because really, that's all your grade is. A bunch of tests.

Does any one have any good study tips for college? It's also hard because they don't give study guides like they did in high school, so I never know what material to study. I really don't know if college is for me. The way I passed high school with As and Bs was..I'd do all the work given, do bad on the tests, and it'd average out to a B. I'm not used to studying. I try, but it doesn't work. Any advice? Thanks.

Q: I have a friend named Tara. Shes in 12th grade, graduating this year, and going to college for Theater.. I've been quite worried about her lately, because i know that she cant have her whole life rely on Theater. She wasted her past 6 years working to be an actress. And shes not all that bad, but someone from a small town and such like ours, prolly wont get very far. I've tryed talking to her about other options. I dont want her whole life to be thrown out the window because of some, un-realistic dream.. Do you think that I should try harder to convince her that theres more to life than thearter.. and thats just there as something to do on the side? Or should I let her make her own mistakes?

yes. god looks down on you for pretty much everything you can possible do, except for spending your entire life in a church.

I know some people think that you never know what you're missing out on until you try it. However, I've never even cared or have been concerned with trying to find religion in my life. its not...i'm the same way. i'm an atheist and i still have just as high of morals as any christian out there and if i go to hell (if it exists) because of that thats no god i want to be worshipping anyways. people feel that they need religion because it makes them feel important and gives them hope for things they are too weak to deal with on their own.

i know exactly what i'm "missing out" on because i used to be christian and to tell you the truth i am happier being an atheist. so no its not wrong at all to put faith in religion. its a load of bullshit anyways
