For my English class, I'm supposed to select three current issues, and talk about each one. It's a research essay, where I'm going to need a quote for each issue as well.
The problem is...I'm not into current issues at all. I don't read the news, and I'm not properly educated. The examples she gave us were: racism, poverty, the war in Iraq, domestic or foreign terrorism, international relations, obesity, global warming, the national debt, ect). All of these political things, I would NOT be able to talk about. I know nothing about them. So I'm thinking of picking easier topics, such as racism...and maybe 2 others. I can think of Same-sex marriage and Abortion to write about, but I don't want to do either of those. Does any one have any other ideas on easy current issues that an uneducated person like me could write about? It doesn't have to be 'school appropriate' because I am out of high school and in college. I just have no idea what issues are going on in America, except for of course the war, but I don't want to write about that. Thank you very much for any suggestions. (link)

maybe write about katrina, and the impact of it. You dont need to be interested in it to start reading about it. If you just pick an article and read it, it may start seeming interesting to you. I have to do articles also, but just for science class. Its interesting if you find the right article. ;&hearts

Ok I have a boyfriend and everything and I am afraid that he will want to kiss me. I don't have a problem with that. Its just my mom. She is VERY protective and if he does kiss me I am afraid that someone will tell her and she will get really mad. So What can I do. I have already talked to her and she said I am too young. :(

next time you see your boyfriend tell him not to kiss you. explain to him why and he will probably understand. That way it will protect you. Maybe give him a virtual kiss. lol. if you do kiss, chances are that someone WILL find out and be talking to you about it in front of your mom and it just wont end up well...

yeah i have my hair highlighted. Im not sure about how much it costs, cuz It depends what salon you go to..but mine usually costs around like $60? or something im not really sure, sorryr. Also, mine lasted about 6 months. After you can hardly see it, you just touch it up. it doesnt take too long, maybe like 1 hour at the most, or something like that.

I dont think so, there will probably be a site with summeries from each chapter or something, but if you did find a gossip girls site with the book on it, it would only be a sample, like a couple of pages, because if there was whole books on web pages, it would be stupid to buy the book, and the company wouldnt make money.

well because like me, other girls have thick hair, and mousse and serum dont do enough. And of course we all want what we dont have. Some people with curly hair want straight hair, and people with straight hair want curly. its weird. And when i straighten my hair people dont even notice, because by the time i get to school its curly again. But i just straighten it to make it thin. trust me, if i DONT straigten my hair in the morning it would be super thick, ugly, messy, and curly.

OMG I have a halloween party on like the 7th and I haven't gotten a costume yet. I don't know what to wear. I also will have a halloween dance and go trick-or-treating. I think I might be a boy but not sure. My mom won't let me buy a costume so what should I do??

this is like the 4th time ive answered numerous questions exactly like this. lol. I use a shampoo called pureology, its in a blue container, and its a straightner/no-frizz shampoo. if you have any more questions, just ask!

yeah i think it is stress. its not bad though, and its also not good either. but i havent seen anything proven yet that cracking your fingers willl give u arthritus. what your doing iis like poping a bubble, something like that...sorry if i didnt help much

I need to buy a laptop for use a university. I hate Microsoft, so I'm trying to avoid models with a Windows OS. I guess this leaves me with Apple, so what model should I go for? I'll need it for the internet, storing pictures and writing essays. Money is not really an object, but a price below £1000 would be good. I'd like it to be fast enough to run a fairly graphics-heavy game. If you could also recommend some features that I should look out for (like graphics cards and virus checkers), that would be great too.
I am in the UK, btw, so the laptop market here might be a bit different from the US one (ie different models and companies).

yeah im in the US so i cant really tell you the price,,,but apple's are great computers! I have one. They are good computers, and the graphics are great. Maybe get like an apple ibook laptop, my friend has one, and she loves it!

okay so am i so bored with life. you should just ignore them, and by the way, if they dont accept you for who you are, why are they over at your house? why do you invite them over? Also talking to your goth friend about this may help.

same with me. except mine is straight on the top and curly on the bottom. I just use my straightner and this shampoo, conditioner, and gel. its called PUREOLOGY and it comes in a blue container and it works really well. if you need more information just send me another question.
