well if you crack your fingers everyday you will get atheritis(sry dont no how to spell it)and that means that when you move what you cracked it will hurt. and no it doesnt release stress, just get one of those stress balls or tell your friend about things that are going on and maybe him or her will help you out.

If you are under a ton of stress cracking your fingers may relieve stress for you, but there are ways that are better for your body:

1. Close your eyes and count your breaths focus on it so your mind leaves your poroblems.

2. Breath through your nose and visualize your breath as the ocean; seeing the ocean will make your problems seem smaller relaxing your body.

Cracking fingers does relieve stress, no doubt, but it is also a form of alternative relief. I find that people who try and get rid of something by another method tend to lose the ability to deal with it themselves. Like, you have stress. You cracked fingers to relieve it. But, by doing so, you began to lose the ability to relieve stress yourself when you did it, if that makes any sense.
I suggest that you stop cracking your fingers and try and deal with the stress. You'll find stress levels decrease with it. It'll increase at first, then go down.

No thats not true. It's not good cracking your fingers because once you get older your hands will swell. There are other ways to relive stress and cracking your fingers isn't one of them. It's a habit for me but it has never helped me.

No that is not true.
You should not crack your fingers.
What I do to release stress is meditate and dance it's just relaxing for me.
Try it, it might work for you too.
