My real name is Christiana, but most people call me "Nina". I am 18 going on 19. I enjoy helping people--just not when they are still in middle school and asking about love or sex. I do alot of painting on canvas, creative writing, reading, and listening to music. I'm pretty mellow. I love sci fi and fantasy based books and movies. I love medieval history--really I like most history but sometimes I wish I could live in a time period that didn't deal with so many technological complexities. I guess you could say I love the simple things in life...

This morning my dad got angry at me. The reason isn't really important. He threw the waffle that was eating at my shirt and got butter all over me. I was upset because he had the nerve to throw a waffle at me, and also because I was excited to wear the outfit that I had picked out to school. I started crying and I couldn't stop. Keep in mind that I have my period now. I was still crying when I got out of the car, and still crying when I was in homeroom. Of course, everyone was staring at me and wondering why my eyes were all puffy. My teacher suggested I go to the nurse, so I did and stayed there for half of first period. I was really happy by the time I was surrounded by my friends. First of all, I felt like an idiot because the people in my homeroom knew how upset I was in the morning, and then saw me laughing my head off with my friends two periods later. I just feel so stupid and I can't for the life of me understand why I was crying so much!! I know I have my perios, but I've never got PMS this severe before!! HELP PLEASE!! Has anyone beed throuhg an awkward situation like this?

When you are on your period you are prone to be extra emotional (as you already know). PMS causing mood swings can vary--I know when I'm on my period I cry about the small things sometimes too. Your dad shouldn't have thrown his food at you either--that is irresponsible as a parent. Know that you are an extremely normal female to be going through this emotional rollercoaster.

I get these little bumps on my face,you cant see them that much but i can feel it..there tiny and come in clusters.What might these be? And also,will these/how can i make these go away?

Its most likely (and I would be willing to bet on this one) acne. Which is perfectly natural. You can make them go away by using face cleansers such as stridex.

ok i am going to make this short on friday i am goin to go see my boyfriend and meet his mom. since it will be cold i am plannin to wear a brown outfit that has a jacket with it. my onlu question is this. i got black and pink shoes? what should i do? i dont got any others because i through them out over the summer and havent had enough money to get new ones. what should i do? well it look bad?

I really don't think his mom will care what color shoes you are wearing. Don't waste/lose your energy (or sanity for that matter) over a pair of shoes. Don't impress her with your outfit, impress her with your personality!

What does it mean when bands/singers in their songs say that there is no room left oh thier backs? I've heard it in a few songs and never got what it meant.

You don't need to be playing "Spin the Bottle" at the age of 13. Save your first real kiss for someone you truly care about...as in wait until you have a boyfriend you really care about.

i dont get this well i never take in more then 2000 callories a day more like 1000-1500 but like im putting on weight!!! the only way i lose any is if i dont eat for a day or i have no breakfast no lunch and like a salad for dinner which i have sometimes! but i dont get it.
i did lose about half a stone last year im 51.6kg and 5'2 btw im almost 15 if that helps x x x

Girls generally stop actually growing at the age of 16. You are most likely putting on weight because you are about to get taller. You need to keep eating to get the proper nutrients you need for everyday. Don't worry about it...youre just growing! If you're still really worried about it exercise more often, maybe that will help you feel better.

ive been going out with a guy for two weeks and now i want to dump him because i just dont like him anymore and liked the way it was before but this whole week we have been fighting because i cant seem to act normal around him and i dont kno how to dump him because he gets this look in his eyes and i just cant what should i do to break up with him?i rate high!

You can't let him intimidate you with that "look"! The longer you wait to make your break-up final the more he, and possibly you, is going to be hurt. Look at it this way: How would you feel if someone did that to you?

i have alot of stress right now and i feel like im going to lose my mind. what should i do to keep myself sane fora while until things calm down?

You need to try to set time aside everyday for self relaxation (EVERYONE needs "Me" time). Exercising, bubble baths, simple hobbies (painting, playing an instrument if you're a musician, etc) all can help. Its okay to be lazy every once in awhile.

There's this guy I know, and well, let's call him *Andrew* . I talked to *Andrew* like ONCE. and all i ever said was if he was a sophomore and he's like yea. So that's it. So anyways, i have myspace and i found him on there and i was like HEY! OMGGG! and i was like hey i talked to you like once and stuff and hes like ohh yea i remember you. But before i ever sent him that message, i heard he was having this halloween party. So anyways, i kinda see him like almost everyday. He's in my P.E period and when i walk out of English i see him around. But ever since i sent him that message, we've talked about like random things. And everytime he sees me he either smiles,tapps me on the shoulder and wave or just waves. (I KNOW RIGHT!! GREAT..) But the problem is that i asked him what he was doing for halloween and hes just like uhhhhh ..well..ima C if theres a party i can go to..

UGHH! he didn't even have the nerve to tell me that HE was having a party. I mean, it wasn't like i was just talking to him to get invite me to the party! Now im a person who just doesn't give a flying f***. But somehow this just hurt me. I mean we've been talking just like i guess normal friends. But he could've just told me that he was having the party and i wouldn't care if i got invited. But its at the point that im about to cry. Not because i didn't get invited.But just because he couldn't be a man and tell me the truth. And i guess you can say i kinda liked him. But i dunno. Should i just forget about this? And why do guys do this?! After he sent me that message that he was like "im gonna go c if i can go to a party." i was just like "oh kool." .....should i talk to him like nothings wrong? should i wave to him and stuff when he waves back?. I know i should keep talking to him like nothings wrong because he doesn't know that i know. But ugh..its just weird. Please help me! i feel soo bad && im sorry if this is long!! =(

He was pretty much lying to you, yes. But you should tell him that you found out about it and it DOES bother you. You considered him your friend--so you have a right to be a little upset. You must also remember you two aren't dating-so he can get away with this sort of thing. Don't sweat over this situation too much, guys aren't worth it unless your pursuing a serious relationship.

My question is that I have that rare skin that is called Chicken Skin. It when your skin has little bumps all over your body they are kind of noticeable. Well I was wondering if anyone has this kind of skin and how do they deal with people constantly staring at you like you are a freak or something. Is there any way of getting rid of this kind of skin condition so that I can have normal skin like everyones and not feel like a freak. I don't like to wear T Shirts or anything that will should my skin. I did once in high school and this one guy made me cry in class because he was staring at me and poking me and talking loud in class so everyone would want to look. Ever since then I have been scared to wear T Shirts again because I don't want history to repeat itself. What should I do to over come my problem? But most of all I just would like to have normal skin so I wouldn't have to worry about this anymore.

You should search on google first--to see if there are any "home remedies" and try those. If that doesn't help you can go to a dermatologist and they will most likely be able to take care of it.

ok hey, question for the girls. How would you feel if your boyfriend did something like this for you on Xmas. (by the way i am the male not the female lol) I get 2 roses, and put each in their own wrapped box. Ill say "when this rose dries up and dies, i will love you more," then give her the box and let her unwrap the first rose. then say "when this rose dries up and dies, you will love me more," then give her the box and let her open it. Then i will take a third box and say "when this rose dries up and dies, i will STOP loving you." and she will open the box, and it will be a glass rose. Well I would love something like that from my boyfriend...but you also need to consider a couple of things. How long have you two been dating? and are you absolutely sure you love her? You don't want her to think youre moving along a bit fast. I'm sure she will love it (: (You oughtta get her a stuffed animal also!)

Missed periods, body aches, enhancement of sense of smell, abdomen begins to bulge out a little more...quick loss or gain in weight. Try looking on google also.REMEMBER you can be pregnant and still get light periods a couple more times or the whole nine months *just a word of caution* Goodluck I hope everything ends up okay. How do you get an ex-friend to stop fucking talking to you. I'm usually good at getting people to leave me alone, but this guy is insane. He stopped talking to me for a while but now he is starting again despite when I tell him to leave me alone. Any ideas?

You could...threaten him with a cheese grater (as in threaten to castrate him) and act like a psycho (I know if I was a guy I'd leave you alone) . Or you could simply tell him..."Look, please just let me be...I rather not associate myself with you"...and you could still threaten him (: lol I know I'm being a smartass sorry.

My boyfriend broke up with me once,and then said he was being sarcastic when I got fed up and asked him why.It was odd because he had been mean to me all week long.His friend also said that he was saying "things" about me.We got back together. Now his other friend is saying he said I'm gonna dump that mother f*****. On the bus my friends called him a jerk and when he asked why they told him why he said I never said the f word, and laughed while I was crying running home from my bus stop. Okay I am 18/f and I have a wonderful boyfriend. He's 22 and he lives about 1 hour from me because he moved that far to work. He comes to visit me every weekend and calls me every night. We have alot of fun and talk about everything. We have been dating on anf off for 3 years now and are planning on getting married in about 1 1/2. Recently at my work I noticed this guy flirting with me alot, and well I do the same. I saw it as harmless, I would joke with him and stuff and he would back. He had a girlfriend at the time too, but just the other day he walked over to me and pushed me against the wall and said 'watsup babe' and laughed. I found it funny at first but a little odd, then I found out he broken things off with his girlfriend partly because of me. He also slipped me his phone number in my work folder and the other day I saw him he asked me to come to his apartment. I really find him attractive(he looks like the lead singer from my chemical romance) and really like him, I only want to be friends with him because I love my boyfriend so much and wouldnt ever cheat. But when Im around the guy at work Im much more open and talkative then I am with my actual boyfriend. Im just asking if its wrong to be friends with a guy that likes me in a way that my boyfriend wouldnt find appealing?

Sometimes when you are in love...you question yourself on things such as these. Do yourself a favor and tell the guy at work that you REALLY can't pursue ANY type of relationship/friendship with him. I know that will be hard--being that you work with him and all but you don't want to break your boyfriend's heart...or your own for that matter. Oh and another thing...the guy at your work sounds like a scumbug...thats a classic "I broke up with my girlfriend for you".

I want to buy a PDA for my husband. Price is an object, but what he needs it for is to take copious notes at meetings and download them in Windows on his PC. It would also be nice as he travels all the time to have one he could check his email on at airports and overseas. Any advice on what model/brand to get? Please suggest one with and one without wireless. If price is too much with wireless, at least one that he can easily use for note taking is most important.
