-Talk to someone
-Get a neck massage
-Give a neck massage
-Take a hot shower
-Play DDR (Dance Dance Revolution)
-Play Laser Tag
-Walk the Dog (if you have one)
-Go lay at the grass, look at the stars, and try to find a constellation
-Do the above, only try to make your own constellations
-Punch a pillow
-scream into a pillow
-Talk things out to yourself out loud (do this alone so people dont think youre nuts
-Cook something
-Go swimming
These are ideas, Im sure you can think of more. The general thought behind them is to occupy yourself for a bit, but not enough that you cant think about things. [ protossc542's advice column | Ask protossc542 A Question ]
NinaB answered Friday October 28 2005, 1:40 pm: You need to try to set time aside everyday for self relaxation (EVERYONE needs "Me" time). Exercising, bubble baths, simple hobbies (painting, playing an instrument if you're a musician, etc) all can help. Its okay to be lazy every once in awhile. HectorJr answered Thursday October 27 2005, 5:53 pm: Relax! If you are stressful and can't take it anymore, more than anything you need to force yourself to think more before you act. Right now what I would suggest you try doing is vent, get it out of your system - wether it be rage, anger, confusion, frustration, hate, or anything else. How? Write about it. Find paper or go on your computer and write everything you can think of about it...and keep it for later somewhere safe.
You gotta try to keep your head in the game, don't push yourself too much but at the same time try not to slip up. Talk to a friend, yes you are allowed to do that. One you can trust of course. If you can't do that and don't feel that writing will help you, get active...physically. I don't mean in a violent manner, but maybe...I don't know, maybe punch your pillow a few times; run outside or work; stretch out every part of your body [careful not to over-stretch].
Don't give up on things, I'll tell you that much - you definatley have the rest of your life ahead of you, things are bound to get better. Hope that helped and good luck. [ HectorJr's advice column | Ask HectorJr A Question ]
