I assume that this is relevant, although it involves UPS. I have a friend who's worked for them for years and has mentioned a few times that they are big on backing up and maneuvering in tight quarters.
At the UPS facility where he worked, they would often set up some of the older trucks in kind of a city street arrangement and the driver would have to deal successfully navigate and park, obviously without hitting anything.
(This was some years ago, so I don't know if this is the current way that things are done. It makes sense that it would be, though.)
EDIT: I really don't know anything more than what he mentioned in passing, which I wrote here. He's off on vacation or I would get more details for you. It sounded like it was more of a refresher kind of thing, kind of a PT test, but for UPS drivers.

So I'm looking to get my first tattoo next month. I'm having a really difficult time trying to figure out what I want. I don't want it huge but I don't want a real small one either. Also I want it to have meaning. Nobody has died that's close to me and its too weird to put my family on my body. What would be some good ideas for me? I'm looking to get it on my back somewhere. I don't really like the classic tattoos, you know hearts and crosses and stuff. I love animals, dirtbikes, my family, my bestfriend. I'm somewhat of a country girl. Any ideas, general or specific, would be helpful.

I don't have specific suggestions, but wanted you to know that quality tattoo shops are staffed by artists who choose skin as their medium, or one of them.
With their artistic mind and eye, they can create an image based on your thoughts, like what you've posted here. They can also reproduce just about anything that you bring in.
*I* think that you best bet would be to visit a recommended shop and sit down with one of their artists to see what they can come up with. There is typically no obligation if you do this.

I'm 15, female. Every time I get on Facebook, I see all my friends having fun on their weekend. I'm the only one who stays home, crying cause of my terrible life. I'm not allowed to go anywhere. My dad says I shouldn't even have friends. I wanted to have three friends over, but my dad said no, no , & no. I had to cry for two straight days just for him to say yes, but still, he fought. I can't go to any parties, I can't see any friends. I have to be at home all the time. When he goes to friends house. When my brothers can do whatever they want. No one understands me in this family. I never hang, or do anything on my weekends. Which makes me think of real bad stuff, like running away, or anything just to ruin my life. I don't know what to do. Tell your Dad that you need to talk with him and make sure that you're in a quiet room with no distractions / interruptions when you do.
I'm guessing that he had someone in his family, (sister, mother, aunt, cousin, maybe even a daughter older than you), that lived life on the wild side and he's afraid of that for you. Teen pregnancy, drugs, you name it. It's a scary world for parents.
Have a real heart-to-heart with your Dad. Let him know that you're a good person and can be trusted to make the right choices and do the right thing. If YOU are the "wild child" that caused the lockdown, then ask him how you can go about regaining his trust. Little by little...

Wow, I agree with Teza. Let's not talk about how to deal with the cuts, let's talk about not cutting in the first place!
You know that this destructive behavior is not normal, and needs to be addressed. Take a look at this link and see if it sounds familiar, and if it helps with whatever you're dealing with.

okay, so i am in pain (as in cramps) all the time, not just when i get my period. the only thing that helps is painkillers. the thing is, my mum and sister have the same thing. except mum said her cramps got a lot better after having a baby. my sister has had several tests done on her (she's 26) and apparently it's all in her head. how can it just be in your head when all three of us have it and are doubled over in pain? does anyone know what might be wrong? A couple things. You used the word "mum" so I assume that you're not in the United States. This matters only in that your health care choices may be more limited than a private system; I'm just not sure how your health plan works.
The incompetent will put it off as "in your head" when they have no clue what is really going on. Clearly, you ladies have something in common; genetics, diet, environment, some regimen that you all take part in, etc., etc.
I would suggest that you try another doctor if that is possible, but also - most importantly, do some research to better equip yourselves to help yourselves.
Try the sampling below of the online health resources available. I like forums & message boards because you can post specific information and receive specific information. In all online research, be on guard for bad information. Try to verify a particular point with other sources. Google is your friend.
The best of luck with this. I can't imagine what it must be like living with something like that.

Who's to say what's normal and what isn't. We're all programmed differently, and respond to different things. There is also a physical-chemical reaction that adds to the fun of movies like this. Something scary happens, our bodies crank out adrenaline - it's a rush, it's fun. Nothing more to say!

This is the recipe that my wife uses:
Ingredients:
* 1 1/4 cups sifted flour
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* 1/2 cup shortening
* 1/2 cup peanut butter
* 1/2 cup granulated sugar
* 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
* 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
* 1 egg
Sift together flour, salt, and baking powder; set aside.
Thoroughly mix shortening, peanut butter, and sugars; beat in vanilla and egg.
Stir in flour mixture, blending well. Shape mixture into 3/4-inch balls; place on greased baking sheets.
Flatten each cookie with the tines of a fork; dip fork in flour periodically to keep it from sticking to the peanut butter cookie dough.
Bake peanut butter cookies at 375° for about 10 to 12 minutes.

So, I am a 16 year old girl, 11th grade. There is this really cute boy that I see in the hallway quite frequently. We don't know who eachother is so I can't say like "oh, I think he is slightly interested" he is just cute and I would like to get to know him but since he is a senior we don't even have classes together. Having a girl come up to me and say hello would have been a dream come true when I was in high school.
I knew of this really pretty girl who was intelligent and funny. I'd never spoken to her, but I couldn't think of much else. I SO much wanted to just walk up to her, but I didn't have much confidence in myself and I wasn't even sure that she knew I was alive.
I made myself sick thinking about it for a couple weeks, but one day I had enough. I decided that I wasn't getting anywhere as things were, so why not take a chance. My story has a happy ending: that girl is my wife of 33 years this past August. We have a son to be proud of, and he has a family that we love dearly.
So, long babbling story, but YES! Definitely YES! Go say hello to this guy, you may be surprised. (And on the off-chance that it doesn't go well, keep in mind that he may be otherwise committed, not interested in ANY girl at this time, etc.)

Two days ago my bf got arrested apparenty for child porn charges. What do I do? I normally wouldn't comment on something like this because I have an exceptionally strong opinion on the matter, but this can not go unaddressed...
Let's break this down:
- Your boyfriend was involved with child porn in some way.
- You would have to specifically and determinedly search for that type of porn, or be out there in the bushes with a camera, take advantage of kids in the family or neighborhood, etc.
- He was arrested for it, so it was probably not an unfortunate search term that came up with unexpected results, or an accidental click on something.
- He knew it was a bad thing, proven by the fact that he tried to hide his situation from you and presumably others.
So, here we go: what do you THINK you should do? Do you think that you should "stick by your man," get married one day and have kids? Wouldn't that be wonderful for everybody...
For those who would say that he's being called guilty without a chance to explain, here's my response: You do not accidentally stumble into child porn. You worked to find it or to get it by whatever means. These twisted people will do it again, and it will probably escalate from simply looking at it to something more.
So again, what do you THINK you should do? Do you really even need to ask?

Ok, the "sir" and the "female" are obviously at odds, but I'll assume that the "sir" was some sort of typo and that you are female.
As a 19 year old female, you're probably about as tall as you're going to naturally get. And 5'1" is not at all an uncommon height for women.
There are some artificial ways of increasing your height, or the appearance of it, but you are what Allah or God made you and should be happy with that.
- Clothing with vertical stripes or design will make you appear to be taller. (I learned that one from PBS!)
- Although it may often be impractical, you can wear high heels, or shoes with higher heels.
- You can insert "lifts" into your shoes. Check out this site as a starter: http://www.shoelift.com/
Last but not least, masturbation is a normal part of humanity and will NOT affect your height. There are, in fact, documented health benefits associated with it.

Hey Everyone:) I am an 18 year old female. So I've had this problem for a while now lol. I am very involved in cheering, but lately, I've had an issue with my cheer sneakers. They always end up smelling like vinegar after I've worn them a few times. It's SO embarrassing! I also get very dark stains on the insoles. It doesn't matter which shoes I wear, it keeps happening lol. Anyone else have this problem with cheer sneakers and have any advice on how to fix it? Thanks!!! (link)

I don't have cheer sneakers... and I'm a guy, but in the end I would think that sneakers are sneakers and feet are feet.
My feet are inclined to be sweaty and it seems to be sneakers that brings out the worst in them. And then the nature of sneakers being what it is, all of that is retained in the shoes for posterity. :-)
I've now found a procedure that is quite effective, (one which I use both for my off-hours sneakers and daily dress shoes.)
I spray my feet with unscented deodorant before putting on my socks and shoes. (There don't seem to be many unscented choices; I use Sure.) You could probably use scented ones too.
Each night, I spray the inside of the shoes with Lysol to help kill germs and bacteria, because we know what germs and bacteria do! Pew! (Grin)
On the stains, I'm not sure of that. It could just be the amount of sweat with a sneaker color or type that really shows the moisture. If you prevent or reduce the sweating, THAT should prevent or reduce the staining.

If you're getting dirty looks and such, then at least to some degree, the sides have been chosen.
I'm not sure that you're going to make PEACE with them, and I'm also not sure that it would be worth the effort.

My computer runs on wireless, something called Frontier and it's definitely faster than the dial up we used to have. Recently, though, it takes almost ten minutes to buffer a 24 minute video, sometimes even a two minute youtube vid, but my friend says her youtube tends to get slow too.
I watch most of my shows on hulu too. Is it the site or is it my Internet that's being slow? (link)

It certainly could be the web servers, but there are a couple things to consider on your side. This is not in any particular order, just how I thought of it:
- Simply powering off the router / modem, waiting a couple minutes and powering it back on can clear up issues and improve performance.
- Wireless is typically slower, less stable and less secure than a wired connection. Your wireless router will generally have 1-4 ethernet ports which can be used to connect your computer by ethernet cable directly to the router.
The cables are pretty inexpensive online, or you should be able to find them at Best Buy and places like that if you're willing to spend more for instant gratification.
You'll want to look for CAT 5e, unless you have a Gigabit router. In that case, you might want to spend the extra for the CAT 6 cable.
- There are online speed tests that you can run to benchmark your performance when running Wired and Wireless.
I would test it wireless, then TURN OFF OR DISABLE your wireless connection, wire it up and test again. Your ISP may have their own speed test, but try others too in order to make sure that they aren't tweaking the numbers to make things look good.

- You probably don't want to be doing anything that would affect overall system performance, which would ALSO affect network performance.
Copying large files from one drive location to another, downloads, disk defrag, video encoding, etc. Anything that requires a fair amount of horsepower will slow things down.
- You can talk to your ISP and see what level of service you have. Both DSL and Cable are available in different speed packages.
- Make sure that your system is clean and running efficiently. (This goes along with what I said earlier about operations that would affect general performance.)
Make sure that you aren't running a bunch of unnecessary processes and programs that are eating up memory and CPU time.
I may think of something 3 minutes after I submit this, but I think that this is about it. Good luck with it, I know that it can be frustrating.

Presumably, you wouldn't want to be making holes in your wall, even with a thumbtack.
We use this stuff at work and sometime around the house. Works pretty good and comes off when you no longer need it.
