Your breast are developing, which means you are close to the point where you will be getting your first period. It still could be a few months away, or it could be sooner. Don't worry about it, just take it as it comes.

I'm going to get tested for STIs/STDs with my boyfriend. He's my first sexual partner, so if I have anything it would be from him. He has been sexually active for several years though, and about 4 years ago he had unprotected sex with 2 successive girlfriends, who he thinks may have been quite promiscuous.
So, there's a chance he could have something that hasn't shown up yet, i.e. HIV (I heard it can take up to 10 years to show).
If he has HIV and has passed it to me, I'd really rather not know as I think it would be the end of our relationship, and he is my absoloute soulmate.
So, my question is, if we both have HIV does it matter if we sleep together - it won't make it any worse surely? (link)

Your doctor will talk to you about this further, but if you keep exposing yourself to the virus then no medication you take to decrease the severity will have any effect. You will be, in essence, keeping yourself as sick as possible instead of as well as possible. Don't freak out though, get your test results first. And good work getting tested! Most people aren't brave enough and would rather risk spreading the disease.

I have stretch marks from an asthmatic medicine ( long story) does anyone know any creams or anything that is not too expensive to get rid of them or atleast make them show less? I tried coverup but I can only use almay and clinique so if you have anything from there that covers it up please tell me. im in desperate need for help soon because Im wearing shorts soon.

Try coco and shea butter, but the only real solution is to get them lasered by a doctor. They fade and skrink as you get older though.

i'm female, 17, and a junior in high school. last march, a guy, (who is 21 and doesn't go 2 school), i wrk w/finally broke up w/his girlfriend of 2 years. he told me in january he really liked me and there'd been a mutual attraction since then. the problem is, that, although they broke up, they still live together in a 1 room apartment (he sleeps on the couch) b/c he cannot financially afford to live on his own and he currently drives his ex's car. she has reciently threatened 2 move out which would force him 2 move back to WA. she's agreed to stay but insists that i don't see him 4 a while. i didn't know her previously and there is pretty much no chance of her feeling anything but hostility towards me. i don't want to break up w/him but i dont like the idea of his ex controlling our relationship and i know there's nothing i can say to her that will change her mind. what do i do? I don't know if I wanna go to college, but I know I'm at least gunna try it out. I'm not really the scholar though. I've taken tons of slack classes in highschool and stuff. A few questions...
1: If I find that college is not for me, what do I do with the rest of my life and work/money?
2: Is it true that businesses don't pay much attention to your college GPA? (Do they only care that you got a degree?)

An education is one of the most important things you can ever get for yourself. Even if you end up spending the rest of your life in a career that has nothing to do with your degree, the education you recieved is invaluble. Go to college, do your best, and learn whatever you feel an interest for. It's worth it, I promise you.

Okay well a like a month ago, me and my bf had sex, and he didn't wear a condom. he lets call it "let go" no in me but a little lower than my lower stomache. Now see my period was supposed to start today, but it didn't, and i'm sure it'll come soon, but the thing is about 5-6 days after we had sex a month ago, i got my period.
Can i still be pregnant by any chance?

If you have next with out a condom (even if he doesn't ejaculate inside of you) it is entirely possible to get pregnant. Please use protection.

I'm currently on the birth control show and my gynocologist has just informed me of the dangers of being on it for more than two years. I need to switch my birth control method and I'm trying to decide between taking Seasonale (the birth control pill that gives you 4 periods a year) and the birth control patch. Has anyone tried either or both of these? I'm having trouble deciding which one to do. Any suggestions or advice? (link)

The patch has more hormone related side effects (from what I've seen) like weight gain. Ask your doctor which she prefers to perscribe.

My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 1/2 months. Before we started going out, we were really great friends. He was my best friend. And I have a STD, HIV actually. I got it from birth because my mother had to get a blood transplant and back in 1986 they didnt check blood for HIV and such, we've been talking about being intimate with eachother. I am 15 and I need to tell him before we have sex. I need help on the following things:
1.) How to tell him: What should I say? Should I have my sister whos like my best friend be there with us?
2.) When should I tell him?
3.) How do I handle the thoughts of being rejected and trusting him?
He is my best friend and I trust him and I talked to him and have told him that I have something I'd like to discuss with him and I made him guess on what it was and he said "is it a genetically passed STD?" and I did not say anything.
I'm scared that he will tell someone. He's very trusting but I dont know, He would be the only person I told besides one person and the only boyfriend I've told. Please help.

Tell him NOW, tell him yourself and honey, I hope he doesn't betray your trust or freak out or break it off with you but you really need to prepare yourself for the worse. You are in a terrible position and are going to run into this problem a LOT in the future. I'm so sorry, noone deserves this. Why not find a good support group for times when these issues come up in your life?

Hi. I was wondering, does anyone know anything about cleaning your syster from sugar and stuff I guess? Because my cousin's boyfriend (who works in a hospital) said something some time ago about how he has been drinking water for a month and is trying to clean out his system. "cleaning out you system" is a myth. It isn't good for you to ingest a lot of empty colories and high sugar sodas and soft drinks though, water is certainly the healthiest.

A friend of mine told me that she heard that if you have a light period, then you will have a harder time becoming pregnant when you are trying to conceive! So if your period lasts for 2 days while other girls have it for 7 days, you will have more trouble becoming pregnant! Does anyone know if this is true, or is it just some kind of a myth? You need to do aerobic exercise to melt the fat off of your super- strong abs( from the crunches). Start jogging or something. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables and NO junk/fast food.
