Q: Years ago I watched American Idol season 2 when Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard was on it. Clay Aiken was really great and was very talented but, sadly, Ruben Studdard won.

Anyway, I know that Clay Aiken always said he was simply too busy to have a girlfriend, but he recently had a baby born, Parker. Parker Aiken was born August 8, 2008 at 8:08 a.m. so all of this is fairly recent news. Jaymes Foster is Parker's birth mother. Obviously Clay Aiken had enough time to have sex with a woman, right?

Well, I just assumed that Clay Aiken had started dating Jaymes Foster since they were having a baby together. My best friend informs me that she knows for a fact that Clay Aiken is gay and has recently came out to the public. She says that Clay Aiken said himself that he is homosexual very recently.

So, I went to Clay Aiken's official website and didn't find anything about him saying he is gay. Can anyone tell me if Clay Aiken is REALLY homosexual or if there are just gay rumors about him still?

i really hate when people smoke weed. the thing is like everyone i'm around smokes it. i don't know why it bothers me so much because it really doesn't do anything to you but it just bothers me soooo much. i think it's just because if its people i care about i don't want them to get hurt or get caught. does any one know how i can make it not bother me when it's people who i don't care about as much as like my boyfriend or best friend? or to not even worry if it is them?

I am a freshman in college and have found a wonderful new boyfriend. He's an old school gentleman, smart, funny, and a great soccer player. He treats me like I am the center of his whole universe, and he could not possibly be any nicer. I have even moved in with him at his apt. off campus.

So all that is great and all, but I can not convince him how great he really is. He hates himself, and talks bad about himself all the time. He literally has no self-esteem whatsoever, and I know that he's struggled in the past with being suicidal-I mean, he shot himself when he was in high school but survived miraculously. How can I convince him that he's what he really is, which is a guy that a lot of girls who dream to have?

I understand where you're coming from, my boyfriend has extremely low self-esteem, too. You need to tell him that, show him that; but his level of self-esteem isn't going to change overnight. I don't know if he's in counseling? Usually counseling does more for a person than even their own loved one can help. I know I've been suicidal, and have been through treatment about 5 times within the last 2 years, so I have an idea of what he's going through. Knowing this from experience, low self-esteem normally comes from depression, or experiences in the past that have really hurt him/her.
Things to tell him that may help:
-Stay positive! Whether he likes it or not, have him make a list of atleast 20 positive traits about him. You can do it, but in order for him to believe it, he needs to do this himself.
-Exercise! It helps, it truly does.

Q: ok i have redish brown hair, really pale skin, and brown eyes. i wear alot of dark clothes and makeup and my hair just kinda stands out, so i was thinking about dying it a dark brown, with some red highlights, but that'll cost around $100, so i was wondering if it would look good to just get some dark brown highlights in my redish brown hair?

Q: so theres this guy i met over the summer through a friend. and hes basically like..the nicest guy ever. Like I just feel like he's really special & something different. hes very shy and doesnt really seem to express his feelings much which is kinda like how i used to be. recently we met up at the book store about two fridays ago. we haven't really had the chance to text all the time like we used to (in the morning, during the day and at night) but we still spoke at night.
the day we hung out at the book store, things felt different. like my feelings werent as strong as they were before that time when i saw him at the beach. I figured it was because i hadnt seen him in a while (about a month) and because we havent really talked much because my mom didnt like me texting him all the time
so that night we were texting for a little bit and just joking around. the next day, i text him, i dont get a response. I knew he was working until around 4 but then i still hadnt received anything from him and he normally would say hi after he got out. so i sent him another message saying hi and didnt get a response until around 1030. he jsut starts telling me how he didnt feel the same that he used to like when we were at the beach and he doesnt know if he could see me as a gf or any of that and things just felt like we were friends hanging out at the bookstore.
so i was asking him what it was that changed that and he just said he doesnt know and so i was like ' well do you want to figure it out and see what went wrong or just forget it' and he said something a long the lines of wanting to just move on and work towards the future.
so i really want to be like..best friends with him (he doesnt go to my school btw, i go to an all girls high school ) and i dont really know how to ask. it seems like i always have to initiate a convo by texting him first and it just feels like he doesnt want to hang out with me. so i really dont know how to approach it or what to say.

Ah, i know exactly what you're going through.
I would just text him, and be like,
"hey, sorry to bother you. i know we talked about going out, etc, and you said you just kinda wanted to to move on. but i was just wondering if we could still be friends?"

Because, first of all, you can't force anyone to be your best friend, you know? Secondly, from what it sounds like, i honestly wouldn't expect much from him right now. He sounds like he just wants to leave it be, but you could be the judge of that, because you've talked to him more than i have (obviously, haha, i don't even know him). But most importantly, start off with texting him, and see where that takes you.

Scene kids are kids that are usually cocky, confident, vain, and of course, beautiful. They seem to be flawless!

Q: how do you ask a guy out without seeming desperate?

You have to be casual. I think the best way's over texting (but only if you two text alot!) or to just ask him in person. Like, make eye contact with him a couple of times within a day, a few days, etc. Then, when you see he's not busy with a friend or someone else, walk up to him, make eye contact, smile, and say, "Hey, i was just thinking that maybe we should hang sometime. Like, we could go see a movie?" Again, you're asking him out, you're not telling him.

First off, when your roots start showing, you should go get them touched up. Secondly, the price all depends on the salon/hair stylist; you'd have to talk to them about that.
