advice

i live in the south, and we always say ma'am and sir when speaking to adults. however, i recently met some students from northern states and they don't say that. they even said that adults from northern states think it's weird when they say ma'am and sir. but in the south, adults think it's disrespectful to not say ma'am and sir. why is this, and should i just say ma'am and sir to all adults because that's how i was brought up?

I live in a redneck part of Georiga, and yeah, I was raised saying Ma'am & Sir too. I used to live up north, and people weren't as polite up there. Maybe southern people are just more polite. And it probably goes way back in history. Just continue being polite =]

I'm moving from a really small school to a huge public middle school (7th grade) and i am so worried about not knowing anyone. and cliques will have already been formed. Plus i have acne do you think that will lessen my chances of making friends?

I am 5'2 and I weigh 129 pounds. I know I'm not overweight, and everyone says I should only loose at most 5 pounds. But, my stomach still is flabby and I don't look that good in a swimsuit. What can I do about it?

Actually, you are a bit over weight. Hmm.. Marginal! 129-134 is for people that are around 5'7-5'8 [my heigth.] Watch your diet - more exercise needed!
Don't eat as much junk food, and do crunches and sit up everynight.

there's this "game" people play. i dunno what its called though which is what i wanna know. its where there are two people. one person puts their hand on the person's knee and moves it the other persons leg until that person says stop. and then they switch roles and sees who endured more. and the person who endured more ist he winner

its weird. do you have any weird games you play with your friends

It's the "Are You Nervous" game.
Everytime the person moves their hand up the other persons leg, they ask "Are you nervous?" and the other person says "yes" or "no". If they say "no" then it keeps going, but if they say "yes" then it's over.

My friend has tried to kill herself many times because she thinks shes ugly. I tell her shes beautiful but she won't believe me. People make fun of her and say shes ugly, but I told her its just because they are JEALOUS. I feel if I post a picture of her on here, and I want to know if you guys really think shes ugly. Honestly, I think shes really pretty but she thinks I'm just saying that. OH MY GOD! She's freaking gorgeous!!!!! I wouldn't change anything about her, but if she really wants it --

1. Haircuts make a ton of difference. she could get her hair layered or cut shorter, that would be very pretty.

2. Experiment with make up. Find what looks good on her.

3. Go shopping with her, pick out colors that look good on her.

ok i have a friend and were like sisters we walk talk and eat at the same time we even finish each others sentences. i love her to death but she stayed over at my house for a month how do i tell her she is getting on my nerves with out hurting my feelings ?? Plz give me advice

I've had the same exact problem. The thing that you need to do is when she does or says something that really annoys you, say in a polite way, "Hey, I'm not trying to seem bossy or anything - but in the future, can you not do that?"
Or
"I know we are best friends, but everyone gets a little mad at each other once in a while. I love ya like a friend and all, but I think we need to seperate for a bit so we don't kill each other!"

Those may not seem like they would work, but they do - trust me.

Ok, I'm not that rich. My mom and dad have been working extra jobs just so I can go school shopping in lexington. They said that I will have about $400.00 by the time we go. I went to wal mart and got 2 things of non permanent hair dye.

The one brand is LOREAL Color pulse mousse. I got it in Iced coffee just to see what my hair would look like. I wanted to know if it really DOES wash out. i would hate to have my hair like that for more than a week. lol and i was also wondering if you ever tried it? What was youre experiences


One more question:
I also go CLAIROL Herbal essences Color flirt mousse. It says it washes out in 8-10 days. And i got black. It also says Sparkling low risk haircolor.I got the color midnight twinkle(black) I was wondering if anyone used this? experiences? yay or nay? lol

My worries are it wont wash out and will damage my hair. Although, they both say NO AMMONIA AND PEROXIDE.

PS. My hair is very very light blonde =]

I dyed my hair auburn and it turned it crayola colored red and it would NOT COME OUT! & it never did...

Can someone explain to me how the hell do you put eyeliner on the top i always have like this space where you can see my natural skin color..

Put the eyeliner in your usable hand, and take your other hand and put it to the side of the eye that you are putting eyeliner on. Pull it so you look Oriental, and start from where the eyelashes start near the dearduct. Put the tip of the eyeliner on your eyelashes, then go up just a hair, then slowly slide it to the corner of your eye. Make sure you don't go up when you put it on.

I'm thirteen and my eyes are really small, and my lips are very big, which is not a good combination. Is there any way to make my eyes looks bigger and make my lips look smaller? (Without surgery please, haha)

Well, people say that eyeliner makes my eyes look bigger. Make sure that it isn't too dark though, because dark eyeliner can make your eyes look smaller. Use blues, browns, grays, and sometimes greens a purples. Wear eye shadow that goes with your eyecolor. Make sure you don't put to much on:

Now, I do NOT know of a way to make your lips look smaller. People would probably kill to have your lips, so I'd say keep em the way you are. If you make your eyes look bigger, they will look great with your eyes.

okay i went out with this dude for 3 months.
the first month he cheated on me then broke up with me and then asked me back out we went out for 3 more months and when he broke up the reason why we did changed everyday. and my new best friend went out with him. before i did. and he lied to her and told her he was going to wait until she was aloud to date. and then he ran off with me. and then he cheated on me with her. and shes not the kinda person that would do that. but i guess "love" makes you do crazy things i forgave her we both did out share he ran off with me , he cheated on me with her and now. hes comming back to her asking her on dates and shes no going for it cause hes a lier and a cheater everything he said to her when they went out and while cheating on me was a lie and i found out last night okay it went like this. He asked her on the dates, i told her to stay yes to them and then i found out he promises my friend emily on a date! and then...... i go to his myspace ( i have his password) and emilys friend from colorado he was saying how he was thinking about her during soccer conditioning and that he loved her and all this. im like WTF? so me and my friend have our own littel jonh tucker issue. but its only 2 of us. Shes the bait and im the one who knows everything. like i have all the connections i have ALOTTT of friends that know him. and like shes the quite type not very popular and i guess im the popular type and people tell me everything. so do you think its time for him to get his like seriouly? emily and her friend both live in colorado! and its me and clara here. and hes the type that comes back to girls after a while its time for him to be SHUTTTTT DOWN.hes acting soooo deprite and immature and hes playing games with me and my friend clara and he doesnt deserve us at all

Well, if you have his password, then you should comment on a ton of his friends that are girls on his myspace saying that he's loves them and that they should go on a date this friday. Then, when they comment back, he'll have a ton of dates that friday.

I'm a guy and when I talk to my guy friends I can really express myself but when I talk to a friend thats a girl I act all different and shy....now I know when people say guys act different around girls

well, a LOT of my guy friends are that way, but if you just want to be FRIENDS with that girl, and just wanna talk to her, just treat her like one of the guys. [besides calling her dude, talking about hot chicks, and who got the farthest on a date ;) ]
