New School
I'm moving from a really small school to a huge public middle school (7th grade) and i am so worried about not knowing anyone. and cliques will have already been formed. Plus i have acne do you think that will lessen my chances of making friends?

I'm going through the same thing except I'm going into 9th grade. I've been in Dracut,MA for 9 years and I'm moving to Londonderry,NH. I have Acne too and sometimes I think it will make people think I don't take care of my skin even though I wash my face everyday. You'll know who will be you're real friends at your new school if they come up to you no matter what you look like. I just got Pro Active about a week ago and it works really good. You should try to use a cleanser, toner, and a moisturizer everday and that will help your skin alot. I'm pretty scared to go into a new school myseflf. We should deffinatly keep in touch and share our expiriences in our new schools and give some advise on it to each other. My AIM is YouDreamxAboutMe if you wanna im me or something. I hope you have a good start to your new school and you make a few friends. Just be yourself....I'm sure you're a pretty cool girl.

first of all, lots of people your age have at least a LITTLE bit of acne so dont worry about that too much :) just dont pick at it or always say, "ughh my face is really breaking out" all the time even if you feel like that's the truth - i know people who do that & it draws attention to it. anyway, just be yourself & try and be outgoing and nice. smile and be friendly, and you should make friends! when you meet someone, ask them about themself. don't worry about the cliques - it probably wont be as bad as you think. just be open to anyone and try and make friends from all over! good luck.

Matters who you are trying to make friends with. People who care about who they are seen with most likely will ignore you. People who don't care will help you and be your friend. If you want to be friends with the second type of person just say hi to someone and introduce yourself (it would help if they have a cool bag or shoes ask them where they got it, or ask where so-and-so's room is).

I don't think it wil be a big problem, you will definitely find some friends, and if they disclude you because of acne they arent real friends! So don't sweat it, i gaurentee you will find friends. =).
