Q: ok im trying to understand something.. but it's really hard for me, so if there's any physics-nerds out there, please help me BUT DON'T USE BIG WORDS! i have a very hard time with physics! k right now im trying to understand a lab we did a few weeks back.. it was like this, we rolled down a ball (on a slide9 and measured where it would land, then we put it lower down on the slide..and it landed closer to the slide.. (obviously) now the point of this lab was for him to explain to us the connection between the height (where on the slide we'd put the ball) and the length (how far away from the slide it would land) but i dont understand! at all! and another thing, he didn't even mention the wieght of the ball! shouldnt that have some affect? like if its heavy it lands further away? (atleast thats what i thought) so if anyone understands this stuff, or know a good website that explains it..PLEASE HELP! my mom would make fun of me if i asked :( so this is my last resort (since ive already written the lab and given it to my teacher it would seem weird if i asked him aboiut it now..cause im supposed to understadn it :P) haha

The higher a ball is from the ground, the greater its potential energy. Since PE (potential energy) = mgh (Mass x force of gravity x height).

When a ball rolls down a slide, the Potential Energy turns into Kinetic energy. KE (kinetic energy) = 1/2(v^2)m (half of the velocity squared times the mass). Assuming that there is no friction, the initial potential energy will be equal to the kinetic energy.

Therfore, mgh=1/2(V^2)m

Due to cross multiplication, the m's cancel. That is why mass is not a factor.

A ball higher up on the slide will reach a greater velocity at the bottom of the slide when it launches off. A greater velocity causes the ball to travel farther. Therefore, a ball with more potential energy will travel farther.

Q: I am performing at a celebration evening. We have been asked to write and perform a play that is either hilarious or contains a strong message. We did hilarious last celebration evening.
So i need a play that contains a strong message. we were thinking bullying which results to suicide, or following the 'it' crowd and see wheere you get in ten years.

It might sound ridiculous, but use your fear as fuel. Make it drive what you're doing. I don't mean show the fear, or yield to it, but let that anxiousness turn into energy and use the energy to drive your narrative. It works.

Q: Ok, theres this guy that I'e been talking to at school and we both talk about things that we both like and he's really nice and great to talk to. Q: I kind of cheated on my bf with my ex. I told him about it and everything..we're kind of okay right now but he wants me to write an essay about it. He's probably very, very angry, and doesn't want to hear you say exactly what happened. Psychologically, it's easier to be more open and more receptive of things when reading and writing them than it is to do so in person.

Don't think of it as an essay. Think of it as a chance to tell him every reason why you still want to be with him. If he means something to you this is the perfect chance to let him know why.

-i have never had a serious relationship, at all. When i was in 8th/9th grade or so i had a few "intimate" moments but nothing worth mentioning. What should I do? I know alot of people as "friends". Not one would consider even going on a few dates with me to get to know me. I am a bit lonely and I feel that if I dont find someone soon, to at least raise me up a little higher, I might become depressed, or extremly lonely.

Since I'm a Junior I have a little more pressure/respect for my decision and I can justify what I do/am (Single/Not -Single)

How can i get what i want, a serious relationship with a great girl that will understand me. and someone who i can take an intrest in and help too (Im not selfish ^_^)

Q: This is a tad embarrassing (for the boyfriend, that is) see, we just started having sex like a week ago or so, and it's great and all, but sometimes he has trouble getting it up. It's not unusual. How long do you 'try' to get him up? It could be that there isn't enough build-up before hand. Not enough preforeplay, if you will. Perhaps a more gradual approach will get a rise out of him.

If not, he might want to consider at least some form of medical consultation, whether it be a webpage like webMD or a doctor. 17 tends to be a potent age.
