Q: I grew up in a christian home. I'm almost 18 and still everything in my life is God this God that. I believe in him but that doesn't make my problems go away. I'm always crying, have the blues, feel alone, feel anger, sad, somedays I just don't feel like doing anything but lay around. But everytime I try to show to my parents that I have a problem I get God shoved in my face. Sometimes I just want to run away from home...but I know that won't solve anything. What should I do? If I stick around home anylonger I'm afraid that I'll do something to myself again.

Q: My bestfriend is 21. She is pregnant and does not want to keep the child because she cannot support it. She wants to have an abbortion. I have mixed feelings about it, but it's her life. I don't know how I can help her..because I'm still in highschool and don't have a job where I can lend her some money. But she's lent my cousin a LOT of money because he needed help, but he can't pay herback, for other reasons. I don't know how I can help her. And she can't tell her Mom because her Mom will kick her out of the house, and then she won't have any place to live & a child.

I'm scared for her.

Q: When my dad was a freshmen in college he got an offer to work at an airline company. He needed to take the job so he could help pay for his 10 brothers and sisters education. Well, as most of you know, since 9-11 the airline buisnesses have dropped alot. Since my Dad took that job, he had to quit college. Whats going to happen if he gets fired since he doesn't have a college degree?

Q: OK. I have this guy friend I like. Let's name him David. And I have this friend. Let's name her Nina. OK. So I like David a lot. But he's 17 and I'm 13 (turning 14 really really soon), and Nina is 13 too (she turns 14 in July, a little bit before me). Q: First, let me preface this by saying that this is going to a bit long and that I'm not highly religious. I always believed that if you lived your life morally and right, God or the cosmos or what have you, would reward you in a way. You would be able to affect people's lives by the way that you live.

So I've lived my life well- I don't drink, smoke, do drugs, engage in pre-marital sex, am always kind, and work hard helping others, however, I'm losing my faith that its all meaningful. It seems to me that people in general are becoming too superficial. There is no more great search for knowledge and truth and TRUE beuty. People don't trust people anymore- always thinking the worst ulterior motive, even when there is none. I feel like I'm fighting a dying battle to keep a little bit of innocence and purity. Am I just being naive thinking that if I keep living my life the way I am, will "reward" me in the end? Am I the only one who feels like this? Am I the only one who thinks that we're not progressing but rather giving in to our most carnal urges? I'm losing faith and I know eventually all the people I help will feel it by the way I treat them. Your input would be appreciated.
