I was walking thru the mall and a lady with a hair straightener stand stopped me and asked if she could straighten my hair to advertise her profuct. She said "this is a ceramic hair straightener that the salons use. it doens't damage your hair and it actually brings out the softness in your hair. you can get this at a salon for $200 but we're selling it here for $99." I was like WTF! 99 DOLLARS?! I loooooved the straightener though... So I was wondering whats the difference between a ceramic one and a regular one? Can you get a decent one at CVS or walmart for under say, 20 bucks? (link)

No.The expensive straighteners really do work and they are really worth what you pay for them. You can get ones for $20 at CVS or Walmart but I went through 2 other straighteners before I finally just decided to get a Chi. The straighteners for that price range just don't work.

Plato's closet has a lot of old stuff that other people have brought in- it's kind of like a resale shop. Most of the stuff is from a few years ago. The prices are only a little cheaper than if you went to the actual stores. I would say you're better off just going to Abercrombie, Hollister, American Eagle, and any other little boutiques in your area.

I am 13/f and my parents won't let me remove the hair on my legs. I do anyway but only with a temporary razor that doesn't belong to me. I know why I can't remove hair from my legs, but I want to anyway. My parents are also overprotective and won't let me go to the store with my friends and know parents. If my friends parents see me buying a hair-removing device they will forbid me and tel my parents. If I buy a hair-removing device and my parents catch me they will kick me out of the house (I should know). How do I get a hair-removing device without my parents knowing? Please don't say buy it from a friend or walk to the store! (link)

How can I get 2 sizes smaller (in jeans) fast? I use these workouts that I found in the Seventeen magazine. You're supposed to get a hot body in 2 weeks. But is there anything that I can add to it? I don't really like running because I used to a lot and it didn't help. (link)

First of all, eat healthier. Don't eat a lot of chips or sweets. Eat lots of veggies and fruit. Also, if you drink a lot of water, it fills you up and you are not as hungry so you won't eat as much.

I'm sure most of you ladies who straighten your hair have heard of the product called "Maxiglide". It's a hair straightening iron that is shown on infomercials. I was wondering if anyone owns it and could tell me if it's actually worth paying the $100+ for it. I have EXTREMELY thick/curly hair. Has anyone tried it? Does it work? I don't want to make such a great investment on something I'm not sure is even going to work. (link)

Get a Chi Straightener. It's in that price range adn it works REALLY good- ask anyone who has it. I wouldn't get anything from an infomercial.

I hear a lot of people say that applying toothpaste on pimples helps to clear it. I asked my dermatologist if that was a good remedy, but she said that there's no known ingredient in toothpaste that would aid to get rid of pimples. Does it really work? I would try it out myself, but I'm a little skeptical of putting toothpaste on my face. (link)

You can try that clear mascara that extends your eyelashes or you can use fake ones-lol

ok i need some good advice here. every day i put on deorderant(soft&dri) and i still sweat perfusely and get large sweat rings. also i might add that i am allergic to the powder/white deorderant cause it gives me large rashes. Any advice on what i could do so that i dont sweat as much? -thanks (link)

Try a different deoderant and make sure it is an antiperspirant so it makes you sweat less!!

My hair is thick and wavy too. I tried a conair like a few years ago but it didn't work, it just isn't a very good brand. The chi works really well but make sure that you get some kind of hair oil or shine because if you don't and you use your Chi too much then it could fry your hair. But I have a Chi and it works really well!!! Be careful not to burn yourself because the straightener gets really hott!!

Take a shower at night and sleep with your hair in loose braids. Then it will dry wavy.

Ok so I kissed this guy last night. I like him and he I think he likes me. People have told me we look cute together and they think he likes me too. I was really nervous but I did it, it was great blah blah blah. The thing is, he would much rather make-out. He was my first kiss, and I don't know if I'm ready to make-out. I've always been scared to, and I'm not sure why. I think it's because I don't exactly know step by step how to do it, and I'm scared I won't be good and i'll do something horribly wrong. I don't want to just not do it cuz im not ready. I wanna be ready and go for it, but those fears keep coming back to me. Is there anything I can do about this? A lot of girls get nervous. It really isn't that big of a deal. Just go for it. If the guy really likes you, he won't care how you kiss.

It would be better to pick the one that lives close to you because you prob. don't see the other one as much. Also, if you didn't pick him, I am asssuming he goes to the same school as you, you will have to see him every day. But, you really have to follow your heart.

how much should i charge when i am babysitting?
i babysit 3 children ages, 9, 5, and 2 and i am 13 yrs old. i also babysit my cousins that are 4 and 1. how much i was thinking like 3$ an hr per kid but then i saw an episode of full house and DJ babysat and only charged 2.50 an hr and those shows are from like forever ago so now 3$ per hr per kid seems too low! help! i dont want to be rude to the kids parents and ask for too much *remember i am only 13*

I'm 13 too and usually I charge around $6 or $7 an hour- it doesn't really matter how many kids there are unless there is like over 4!!! Most of my friends charge that much too.

omgsh ok this summer there have been 2 guys that i reallly like...so wenever i am like alone with them they lean in for a kiss ..and omg i want to kiss them soo bad but almost everytime i become so shy about it and ill find sum exuse to either not do it (im just not feeling well) or ill be liek "i have to go to the bathroom". but i really want to kiss them! i dont have problems like wen we play spin the bottle or truth or dare , bc wen we play i just go for it and im not shy at all. but its just like wen we r alone ..or if its with sumone i really like i just get all shy. wat is my problem?!? lol xoxo

i have the thickest hair in the world- and it's extremely dry, and it's all one length, and it reaches to the middle of my back, i wanna get it cut really bad- nothing too short- but i dont know what yet. any suggestions? also- i dont know what to do about my hair being so dry. ive tried all kinds of moisturizing this and that- but nothing seems to work. You should get your hair angled and layered because it looks good on all colors of hair. As for your hair being dry......i kno it sounds weird but put a little conditioner in it when it's dry.It really does work!!

Wow that's really tall but that's probably not what u wanted to hear. If a guy doesn't like you just because you are tall, then he is not good enough for you because a guy should like you for your personality not your height. It isn't that big of a deal for a guy to date a taller girl, but it's like the same thing as girls sometimes not wanting to date a shorter guy. Some people care and some don't.
