In the US, it's always illegal to download anything for free that you would normally have to pay for. It doesn't matter which application you use or if you pay for the application. Downloading with Limewire PRO is still illegal.
It's not illegal to use bearshare etc. for downloading things that you would not normally have to pay for, like really old recordings and creative-commons stuff. That's why bearshare etc. isn't itself illegal.

Ok, i got a domain and an account using cpanel because i wanted to set up a website. I know some html, enough i thought to get me started. But i have NO idea how to use the actual cpanel thing. I don't even know where to begin. There's so many things and I don't really understand. I tried looking it up but apparently nothing is "dumbed down" enough for me to understand it. Does anyone know how to use cpanel and can you tell me how to get started???
Go to the section called "file manager" or "web FTP". A directory layout will be displayed. Enter the folder called "public" or "put html files here" or "htmlfiles" or "ht-something" (not .htaccess). If there is no such folder, then don't worry about it.
Then simply upload your HTML files. If your domain is example.com, and you upload a file called example.html, the new file will be at example.com/example.html. If you create a new folder called test and upload example.html, the new file will be at example.com/test/example.html.
That's all you need to know. You don't need to know about the other cpanel functions. Cpanel helps administrate your site only. It does not help you write web pages at all.
If you have trouble, contact the support for your hosting. They answer these questions all the time.

You are correct. Your screen resolution is too small and Gaia Online hides scroll bars in its popups.
You can work around this problem in Firefox by preventing Gaia Online from hiding your scrollbars. Install the Controle de Scripts extension:

Then open the extension's options and uncheck "allow scripts to hide the scrollbar". You will now be able to scroll around in Gaia Online popups.
I am not aware of any way to do this on any other browser(IE, Opera, etc).

how can i burn videos onto a cd that i can play in a dvd player?

Use DVD flick:

Under project settings, change the settings to this:
Target size: 700MB
Target format: NTSC
Burn project to disk: checked
Automatically erase disk...: checked
Delete iso image: checked
Then click "add title" to add each video clip. CDs can only store 700MB. For videos over 45 minutes in length, you'll probably need a DVD, which can store around 4.7GB(approximately 3 hours). If you're using a DVD, change "target size" to whatever size the DVD is.
Then put the blank disk in and click "create dvd". It will do everything for you. When it runs imgburn, it will ask you to update. Say no. If your disk is cheap and low quality, imgburn will also give you a bunch of errors. You can turn off the errors by unchecking "verify".

"Codec" is an abbreviation for COde-DECode(or COmpress-DECompress). Installing a codec is like teaching your computer another language which it needs to know to open certain files. K-lite codec pack includes every codec you will ever need. You won't ever have to worry about this again after installing it.

i just got a new laptop. i had a TON of pictures on my old laptop. i can't even tell you how many folders there were. i don't want to transfer them all to this computer, but i'd like to keep them somehow, without leaving them on my old laptop for the rest of eternity. and i don't want to have to print them all out. that would be time comsuming and expensive. i've been told cd's would be good, since they have a high capacity. should i go with this idea?
CDs hold 700MB of data. DVDs hold 4.7GB of data. If your pictures can't fit on a few disks, then get an external hard drive.
Don't get flash memory. Data on flash memory deteriorates over many years, it has less capacity, and it's more expensive.

Go to start, run(or type windowskey+R) and then type:
powercfg.cpl
If you're using Windows XP, you should change all the options except "turn off monitor" to "never".
If you're using Windows Vista, click "change plan settings" under the plan that is currently selected. Change all options except "turn off monitor" to "never".
Using a laptop with these settings will severely drain the battery. There's no way to always be logged in and not drain the battery.

That is very unscientific thinking. UV light results in tanning, no matter where it comes from. You will tan a bit in moonlight, though much less than in the sun.
You have a genetic range of skin colors that your skin will always be in. If you stay out of UV light all the time and your skin color isn't changing, then you've reached the lower limit. You won't be able to get any paler without applying alternative methods like makeup or perhaps surgery.

No i am not a gamer... i didn't even know about this until last year in one of my classes... well i remember a teacher a year ago who showed us some videos on youtube about the game and i am trying to find them for this current project in one of my classes.

are these lost?

No, it won't; that session can't be restored. As you've seen, crash recovery isn't 100% reliable. Some valuable information might be in your history, though. You can view all of your history by going to history -> view in sidebar, or history -> show all history (Firefox 3).

So I have been trying to watch videos on websites like youtube, and my computer keeps telling me that I need to update my adobe flash player, or I have Java Script turned off??? I tried to upload the newest version of the adobe player, and it says installation succesful but it still says that I can't play them. Typically, you connect the phone via USB cable. A new drive will be created in "my computer". Your itunes music will be someplace similar to My documents\my music\itunes. Move the music files from itunes' folder to the phone's drive.
This might not be possible with the Juke, or special actions might be required. Read the manual.
You usually won't be able to move itunes files you've paid for with this method. They're protected with DRM unless you bought them specifically without it. You can use hymn to remove the DRM:

Zamzar won't work for this. Simply open the mswmm file in movie maker, then go to file -> save movie file. Choose save to computer, then when it asks you about quality, choose "for web".
An mswmm file is just a list of locations on your computer where parts of the movie are and how long they should be displayed. It doesn't actually contain the movie files. The file is useless on any computer other than yours.
