windows movie maker
ok i wanted to edit my videos but i got this error message:
The file cannot be imported because the codec required to play the file is not installed on your computer. If you have already tried to download and install the codec, close and restart Windows Movie Maker, and then try to import the file again.
I don't get it! What do i do and what does it mean?

Download and install the k-lite full codec pack here:

During the installation, choose "lots of stuff" from the drop-down.
"Codec" is an abbreviation for COde-DECode(or COmpress-DECompress). Installing a codec is like teaching your computer another language which it needs to know to open certain files. K-lite codec pack includes every codec you will ever need. You won't ever have to worry about this again after installing it.

I really have no idea, but no one else answered this question so I thought I would at least attempt to help.
Try uninstalling it, and reinstalling it.
if that doesn't help. try looking through these websites and see if you can find anything.
