In how long? It seems pretty good to me; you must've made some sort of difference. And any amount of difference in the world is good.

Q: My boyfriend that I've been dating for a couple of months dips. He used to do it A LOT more than he does now and he says he's trying to stop (NOT for me, for him), but I don't see much progress.

I was doing some research and it says that one can of dip has the nicotine of 60 cigarettes, so I can only imagine how hard it is for him to quit. It doesn't bother me as much as it did in the beginning, but there's just one thing that I constantly think about.

I know there are horror stories for cigarettes, alcohol...all that after school special stuff...and I'm not a "goody-goody" by any means, but seeing videos and pictures and hearing stories about people developing mouth cancer or even getting parts of their jaw removed scares me to death. He's only 18 and he's been doing it for two years.

Here's my question: How can I help him quit? Every time I bring it up I feel like I'm nagging him. How can I just help him along in a subtle way that will actually work without sounding like a nag?

You must bring him to an organized help group for his addiction. Try your local Yellow Pages, or a group online. When he feels like dipping, get him gum, candy, or something else to drive away the craving. Once he hasn't given in to temptations, it will be easier and easier for him to stop all together. Q: okay.. whenever i am excited for things.. like i keep on talking and get TOO overexcited. like today i had this meeting for this program called People to People.. like its a student ambassador program and i get to go to different countries (this year japan) since i was recommended by somebody. well today at the first meeting i got soo excited and i kept talking to my mom in the middle of everything like "oh my god!! sushi!" or "omg thats gonna be so cool!" and i felt anxious and excited and couldnt help but smile during the entire presentation which was about 2 hours. i still kinda feel the jitters now from it.. since im still excited. it sucks cause i get excited over every little thing.. and sometimes i need to just shut it.. but its like.. i cant help it! like there are interviews i have to do, so they see i am mature enough to go on the trip and im afraid that if im so excited and stuff they may not pick me.. so how can i be like serene and stuff and not get all worked up about it? and with other things too.. haha when im too excited i get all crazily hyper and start talking and talking about random stuff. When you get super happy and excited, be excited, but don't yell out. Write it down in a journal, or in a note or text message to a friend. That way you can express your excitement and keep quiet at the same time.

This may not be the answer you want to hear, but diet pills really can harm your body and make you quite sick. But if you are looking for something to guide you through weight loss, try Alli (found in drugstores). It's a tad pricey, but with diet and exercise, it can lead you to a healthier lifestyle. Q: has anyone gotten a semi-perm for their hair? my hair is stick straight and i dont have that much volume so im looking to add curls for volume. the first week it will still hold right? i hope a few washes it wont uncurl!! :( after abut do i need to get regular touchups? whats the upkeep?

Well, for a regular perm, you can't wash your hair/get it wet for 24 hours, or it'll uncurl. If you maintain it properly, your hair will hold the curl; just ask your hairdresser or perm-stylist for tips. I personally would go for a curl-boosting serum or cream from Sephora or a beauty salon. This way the hair won't be damaged by the chemicals used in perms. Hope I helped!

Q: ok so i live in England and i wear a size 12 in trousers, which is like a 10 in american size... i think lol but thats not really important. Anyway i want to get size 14 trousers for that baggy look but im afraid itwould jus make me look frumpy n fat because i havent got the stomach for that low, falling of effect. i hope it's well explained.

Well, I would return the pants. The "baggy" look is not attractive at all; I actually surveyed 40 people on the subject and none of them thought it looked attractive. And it would be even worse to have a belly on top of the baggy pants as well. I hope my advice was insightful.

Q: hi, i know this might be a little too much information but i AM pretty nervous for some strange reason. First off i NEVER had sex in my life, i have done other things but sex isn't one of them. anyway. i am really nervous because my period the past 3 months has either been on the 7th or 8th day of the month but its now the 14th almost the 15th and i still haven't got it is that normal for a 15 year old girl?

Sometimes a girl's period is irregular. I would only be worried if it didn't come for the rest of the month, or skips months after that; then it would be time to see your doctor. Hope I helped!

Q: So basically, I had been going out with this guy for 9 months and I broke up with him a few weeks ago. I still give him rides to school and we're trying to be friends but it's not really working out. Pretty much every day he freaks out on me, telling me that I screwed up his life and how could I be doing this to him and threatens to commit suicide. He constantly calls me and won't really leave me alone. I don't want to give him rides anymore but I don't know how he'll get to school. I constantly tell him that I need space before we can be friends (I mean, who can be friends with someone who constantly freaks out on them?) but he's convinced that if he lets me have space, I'll like it too much and never talk to him again. He's even been bothering my friends and complaining to them. I'm 17 and just really want to enjoy my last year of high school, but that doesn't seem to be possible with him in the picture. Any advice would be much appreciated.

If he's going to be so clingy, let him go. Tell him that he needs to mature and just grow up, and move on. It's really pathetic that he's still focused on this. Only be friends with him if he agrees to let it go. Try finding him a hobby or setting him up with a single girlfriend. Hope I helped.

Q: hey everyone!!
Well i just recieved this project at school. Im in 8th grade, and im studying "the road to revolution". This time period includes events such as the Tea act, boston tea party, stamp act, ect..
Well, we are usually suppose to draw a road down the cented of it, and write the info along the side of the road, but this year my teacher has decided to let us be creative.
Im NOT creative at all!! She said do something like a gameboard theme, but doing a road down the center would be just fine as well.
I would like to do something a little different for extra credit points.
I was thinking about something along the lines of the song Life Is A Highway, by the Rascal Flatts. Since it kinda has to deal with roads, and i could put the info in street signs, and random pictures from the movie cars, since Life Is A Highway was freatured in that movie.
My second idea would be doing something along the lines of the Rockin' Rollercoaster. Its in Disneyworld fyi.. I would have the guitar neck as the road, and the street signs would flash the information...

But i really have no other ideas. I like mine enough, but not really...

It should just happen. Just when you feel that the time is right, just do it. It going to feel natural, and you don't have to be ashamed of being nervous or embarrassed since you haven't had your 1st kiss yet. There's a first time for everything, and most people are nervous during their first time for anything, including kissing. Just don't talk about it; it'll ruin the moment. Hope I helped.

If I were to invest in something, I would do Apple, Target, and other newly emerging businesses like that that are super popular. Don't do anything like Wal-Mart, which is going past its fad. Hope I helped a little bit at least.

Q: Okay so I came home and my brother was logged into the computer on his own account..Which is limited. And I logged onto mine which is also the Administrator. My desktop picture is gone..And everything is running normal..Like new. But everything is gone! Music, pictures, etc. EVERYTHING. My computer has been acting funny for a while and opened ad-disabled internet. So it all of a sudden fixed itself? What happened?! Can I get all of it back or anything?

That happened to my computer a few months ago. I went to a computer repair place and they got everything back in a couple days. Hope I helped a little.

So, the time has come for us seniors to start applying to colleges. However, I am confused about one thing. I know a lot of times you need letters of recommendation from teachers and counselors to apply, but I am planning on applying to more than a couple places. If they write me one letter of recommendation, can I just make copies of that and use it for all of my applications? Or do I need to have them write more than one? I'm just not sure... Any input would be wonderful!

Because the recommendation forms ask different questions and are in different formats. Try giving each teacher each school's individual form together. Hope I helped a little.

No one will be your friend except for other hos if you dress like one.
