I am likely not the best columnist here, but I can quarantee I am very dedicated and concerned when I answer a question. If I answer a question you're not satisfied with, I will ask why, so I can try my best to change my answer. I only give people information that I know; not information that I might know. I really want to learn to be an actress, even if it's just to see if I have what it takes. I would love to attend some sort of school for it or something, but I live in the middle of nowhere. Mom would never let me go to California or anywhere where all the good acting oppurtunies are. So how am I supposed to "follow my dreams"?

Search for acting opportunities in the school newspaper, participate in theatre in your school or community involving plays, or even start some of your own. And as you get experience of it, when you turn 18 you apply for a real job, and apply with your resume to that job stating you have gotten experience and they can give you all sorts of acting careers.

But if you think you are ready to go for the acting business now, usually newspapers, or online ads always offer acting jobs for you to have.

It depends on what you want to change. I am pretty good at HTML. So for instance, if you want to change your background color, in the code you will probably need to find the part that says "Background settings". Under that it will have settings such as the color, URL, or any background effects. So to change the background color, you'll see a part that says "bgcolor" and afterwards it will have a six-digit number called a hex code. You can find a list of hex codes here: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/7010/untitled9ij.png. To change the background URL (if you have a background image) you can do an image google search for whatever image you want, and you copy the link of the image, and replace it with the old image URL. If do not want a background image, just delete the whole URL there, and it will be fixed, and the background color will go into effect. If you do not see a "bg image" part, type in < bgcolor='URL' > (exclude spaces) or, at funky-chickens.com, they have all sorts of ways to make codes for your background.

So check where you or your friend put the layout code in the edit profile section. In some cases, it can be hard to find the spot that you need to change, so you might have to redo the code, or try to find it in other spots in the code.

I also thought since the title of the question was "background" you wanted advice on just the background settings to your layout.

If it's all in general, like text, scrollbar settings, or other things, just look for topics that say "text", "scrollbar", or "misc". Some layouts catagorize them to make it easier on the people using them. Some people put it all together, which makes it more difficult to change the settings. If it's like that, try searching, and separating parts of the code to better understand the layout code so you can change it.

when i plug my digital camera into my computer witht he usb, nothing pops up for me to get the pictures off the computer. this has never happened its usually pops right up. can someone please tell me how to fix this.

Computers will do that sometimes. You have to get it manually but going to Start --> My Computer, and it will have an icon to get to your camera, and the icon might look like a picture of a camera or a photo.

oke well my dog has too much ticks and when my mom and dad take them out then they come again and so they dont do it anymore and i love my dog and so i would love too pet him but i hate ticks

so will you give me advice on how too get ticks a way

There are quick simple treatments to help remove ticks off your dog. I had a smiliar problem with my cat, however, she had fleas really bad! So I bought her some spray to kill fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. It's water-proof so that it lasts longer, and it kill the parasites within 5 to 10 minutes. What I use is Hartz flea and tick spray. I also have tried the Hartz monthly drops on my cat and it got rid of the parasites within days. Also, to maintain a healthy environment, clean your dog's sheets, or clothes, etc and give him/her a bath at least once a week to keep the infestation down.

If however, you are on a tight budget with products for your dog, there are flea/tick brushes out there that if you brush your dog regularly with it, it will maintain and decrease infestation. And bathe your dog in mild soap and warm water, since Ticks do not like clean hair and soap.

Hey where and how can I get one of those mp3 players or whatever they are I think its shaped like and ipod but anyways where and how can I get one? I have too many favorite songs and I change my song too frequently so I wondered if there was anyway to have all my favorites in one.

Well I know one site (www.myflashfetish.com) that offers many mp3 skins like a tape player, or a classic-looking mp3 player. I am not sure if they have the Ipod skin on it but they got some really great skins and I think you can put unlimited amount of songs on the player.

Im dating a guy who is cousins with one of my closer friends they talk about me and i know they do, because she feels that we shouldnt date anymore we've been together for almost 2 years (few more months to come) but my bf feels that i've stolen him away from her like i hog him to much & she feels the same way. I dont want them to think that. Im not heartless i think family is important so why'd i want that for them right? i want them to know that i do believe its important that they still do see eachother, I want to write her a letter explaining that i do think its important they hang out, spend time together, u no? First off, thank you for choosing me to answer you question!

In the letter, first tell her you have complete respect for them. You would never betray your friends and family no matter what because you believe they both are your top priorities. You should say that you want to talk this over and explain to them that you would never stab your friends or family in the back over a relationship, or a friend or relative. Start the letter reparaphrasing what I said. Also tell her what you told me and say that you want them to spend quality time with each other and get closer. Or bond with each other, and try to exclude yourself from it a bit, so they won't feel like you would betray them.

A Freshman is the 9th grade, or their "ninth year" or school, thus the equivalent to someone's "tenth year" (like Britain) in other countries.

A Sophomore is the 10th grade, or their "tenth year" of school in the US, thus it's their "eleventh year" in other countries.

Then there's Junior for their 11th year of school, and Senior for their final 12th year of school.

You can either get a USB cable, you can use Infared (if it's available on your phone) or you can just simply e-mail it to yourself and upload the pictures.

I don't know how much it would cost for internet services for Cingular so check with your Service provider.

ok soo im a girl and im on my period and im getting sick of it because im allergic to a lot of stuff in medicines so i really cant take anything for bloating or cramps. so as far as cramps go i try to use the heating pad and sometimes that helps but like when im at school i cant. and as far as bloating? i have no idea any ideas?

*Foods/beverages that are high in vitamin E (most fruit has it)
*Therma Care pads that you can use without using a plug for it. You can travel around with them.
*Exercising in whatever way you can. Heavy exercises to me make my cramps worse, so I go light and just walk around.
*A healthy diet. Eating junkfood can make cramps worse.

These techniques can reduce bloating, along with little amounts of caffeine, which absorbs some water in the body.

i lost so much weight over summer, and i ahev been overeating for the past few months and now i'm almost back to where i started. Can you help me find ways where i can resist eating junk food and do you have any quick weight loss tips? please HELP !

You will probably have to take it slow and not fast to get the best results. You first need to develop an eating schedule, but eating foods in small quantities several times a day rather than large amounts of food a few times a day. Believe it or not you maintain your weight much easier eating small amounts several times a day. It's the same thing anorexic people did (I know you are not developing some eating disorder from what you are telling me) but my point is you need to maintain the portions you eat. Start by what I first said earlier, and also exercise a bit. You don't have to go hardcore and run for an hour a day or anything. Just a simple walk around the park or go out to see friends. Just the simplest things like that can help you better your mind off of food. Also, drinking LOTS of water helps!! You have no idea how much that helped my eating problem awhile back. However I wasn't a water person so I went with stuff such as flavored water or ice tea. Both works great. In fact, green tea curbs appetite. Lemon water does the same. Just the smallest things like that really makes a difference. Don't push yourself too hard by barely eating, because then that's when the urges of food get worse, and you gain more weight. So balance it out and do a little physical activity.

Of course it is. It's normal for every girl to experience that during puberty. Usually when you are almost done with puberty it evens out with your other breast.

ok. so what can you do if your hair looks greasy but you dont have time to take a shower and everything?

Use Baby powder!! It works so much because sometimes my hair gets greasy and sometimes I have absolutely no time to wash it, so I use baby powder to absorb the oils in my hair. Apply it on your brush or in your hair -- however is fine.

I have this really suicidal friend called jazz and she keeps cutting her wrists and trying to kill herself because she is depressed i have tryed to help her but she keeps making me feel depressed, i told her to go to the doctor she say no i say talk to school she say no so what do i do?

Don't ask her for permission to get her help. Get help right away no matter what! Seek a counselor and tell him/her about the situation. Or go to an adult you trust for advice on what to do.

I know your friend does not want anyone to know about what she is doing, but wouldn't you want her to get help before she get's worse? I am pretty sure it's yes, since you care about her so much. Please get help, and from anyone you trust.

Ok well I think I should start shaving my vagina, but I don't know how without it hurting. What exactly do you do? I imagine that it will hurt very badly and that it will itch a lot. Is there any way to do without it itching or hurting. Please someone tell me the full details.

Well from my experience, first try trimming it. Shaving it off while it's long or coarse, it can hurt really bad, and it can cause really bad irritation.. so bad it's not even worth it! So what I would do is trim it down to the shortest you can, so it will be easier for you to shave it, then apply a shaving cream HIGH in aloe vera and/or vitamins. It helps thinning the hairs a bit, and then slowly shave it off in the same direction the hair is. But don't shave it completely off at once. Do it one step at a time, and shave off a small part once a day, because if you over-shave it can still cause irritation, but afterwards when you shaved it off, apply aloe vera gel (the same stuff you use for sunburn) it cools off any burning sensation you get after shaving, and helps decrease any inflammation (redness) in that area.

Am I the only one alive who thinks it's terrible that kids (13-16) are having sex? I'm only 18, but when I was 13, I was riding my bike and doing karate, not giving blowjobs on the school bus. No, I totally agree with you. It's horrible seeing young kids doing everything that moves and that has a penis and a vagina. It's ridiculous! I am 16 and proud to be a virgin! I get ridiculed all the time for it, but I am glad I am because I know I am not a potential victim of STDs, pregnancy, and prostitution. I am against pre-marital sex, although my friends do it all the time. People do it for attention, reputation, and to be "just like everyone else". What's so wrong with being different? What's wrong with not having sex until you are 25 (or whatever older age)?? I can see 5-10 years from now that 6 year old will be worried about their sex life. I wish people could just see that.
