Me and my best friend were really close but then we started drifting apart. One day we got in a big fight, and it BLEW UP! it went totally off the subject and all of a sudden, she wanted to fight me! It was crazy! Well, then she wanted to be friends again..i guess she just expected me to forget about everything, but it's really hard to know that she wanted to actually fight me..i mean, one of my "supposedly" best friends wanted to fight me! I still haven't TOTALLY forgiven her...is she really a true friend? What do I do?

I understand how you feel. It is just easier to fake a smile and say "I'm fine" then it is to explain to people how you feel. You didn't say how old you are but I'm asumimg that you are a teenager. And being a teenager is one of the toughest part of life. WHO YOU ARE IN HIGH SCHOOL IS NOT WHO YOU WILL ALWAYS BE! I wish someone had told me that when I was in 9th grade. High school is only 4 years and the years go fast, I wasted 2 of them hating everything around me. Start with confiding in a close friend that you can trust, but do not overwhelm them with everything you do and are feeling at once it will scare the hell out of them. Okay for no reason my friend missa dumped me! (we were BEST of friends) and so my friend brit asked if she was mad at her... she said no
then i asked her if she was mad at me she said "WERE NOT FRIENDS ANYMORE!!" right before lunch
and then during lunch i went hastarical.. (like crying) and then she went "*my name!!!!!!!!!* then i ran away crying through the cafiteria and everyone was staring at me.

If Missa was overreacting over something or just really pissed off and she apologizes to you and explains why she said that, then I think you should give her another chance. But if this sort of thing seems to happen alot then I would say just forget about her.It sounds like you have other friends so just work on making those friendships stronger. It's not always easy to break off a friendship though so expect to feel a little sad at first.

Sometimes friends get caught up in having the most friends and trying to be something they aren't. If things like this happen often I think you should find some new friends, it won't be easy to let go of the old friendships because they mean so much to you, but if they are causing more harm then good then its time to rethink the friendships.

Hey! My friend and I are planning on having a prom after party at her house. The thing is we don't know what to do at the party. We would go in her hot tub but her dad won't open it for us. You could rent movies and watch them. That way the girls can finally take off those heels =) and the boys can make themselves useful by making popcorn. Games like Twister are always fun!

every year our school's 7th graders throw a formal dance for the 8th graders. i am totally against going because i hate dresses and can't dance. all of my friends that were totally against it are suddenly going and renting a limo and everything. they are even having a sleepover and a whole day to get ready for it. i don't want to go but they are pressuring me so much to go. what should i do??? the guy i really like will be there but i am 100% against stuff like this. should i give in? can you give me some tips on how to stay strong under pressure?? thanks...i'll rate high!
Whoa they are renting a limo to go to an 8th grade formal!?! If you don't want to go you don't have to. If you have never really been to a formal dance maybe you should go, afterall you never know until you try. I am in 8th grade, and my social studies teacher is really tough and he gave us an assignment to write a 3-4 page essay on an amendment. But I got stuck with articles 5,6,and 7 of the constitution. Its due this friday and today is tuesday.
Im just so confused. I started writting my draft, and it just seems like it all doesn't make sence to me. I cant seem to organize all the information which seems like a diferent language to me.
Im just really stressing out about this.

I have alot of graphics and other documents saved on the hard drive on my computer. How do I back all the documents up onto a CD?

You need to have a cd burner to do this so if you don't you are out of luck.
Put the cd in the drive and open the folder you want burned to the cd then on the left hand side under "picture tasks" click "copy all items to a cd" Then follow any on screen instructions.

Sometimes people need to make their own mistakes. I understand that you don't want your best friend to get hurt by this guy or any guy for that matter, but she needs to figure out that he is a jerk by herself. It will be hard to watch her get hurt, but when she does don't say "I told you so!" just give her a hug and let her cry on your shoulder if needed.

So BASICALLY Im going on a cruise in December to the Caribbean and Im really excited and all, but I dont have a lot of warm clothes! Ive outgrown my summery clothes and I live in MASSACHUSETTS so EVERY store only has cold weather clothes. And Ive tried! I mostly just need BATHING SUITS! Get rid of the sucky unreliable friends, they never end up caring about you or realizing their mistakes. Now do you have any other people you kinda know from any of your classes(like the girl who sits next to you in math etc)you could try to get to know them better by asking them about themselves. Whenever you meet someone new ask them about themselves, afterall its what they know the most about =) You could also try joining a club or being on a sports team, that way you will meet someone with similar interests.

The longer you wait the harder it will be. Tell him that this relationship is too intense for you and its not the kind of relationship you expected. Be prepared for him to be hurt, he may try to convince you to stay with him and that he deserves another chance. Its okay to give him another chance but don't do it repeatedly.

Two of my best friends has really done something horrible to me behind my back & I heard of it later, and they apologized about it all and everything, but I still can't seem to trust them much and I still can't forgive them much for it. What should I do? I am 14 and female.
You need to decide if you want to keep the friendship you have or forget about it. I would say that if this is the only time these friends have done something like this or if they are truely sorry, that you should just forgive and forget. It might be hard at first because you are still angry or hurt over what they did, but you will be able to build up trust between the three of you again. But if this kind of thing happens frequently it may be time to rethink the friendship.

Whenever I have to speak infront my class, by myself, I get really nervous. I feel like I am going to throw up or faint. I know, it's really embarassing. So, do you have any tips on what I should do to not get nervous? Or anything I should say to myself so I won't be nervous? Thank you in advance.
You can practice what you are going to say infront of a mirror or your famliy a few times beforehand, then before you begin speaking just be confident that you will do well. If its hard to look at the audience and make eye contact all you need to do is look right over their heads, to them it will look like you are looking at them or the person behind them.

Look people who are your real friends will listen to you about things like this. I would try to talk to her once more and explain how you feel and if she says that she doesn't want to be friends just say ok and walk away. She knows you will always come back to her so she doesnt feel bad about how she treats you. After you walk away from the friendship things will be better. You really dont need people like that in your life, they cause too much trouble.
