Ok well i have two best friends. Let's call them Anna and Austin. Well, I've liked Austin for the longest time and he likes me. Like we reeeeally like each other. The only problem is that our best friend Anna, who I've been best friends with for 10 years, likes Austin too. And me & Austin really act like we're dating. We just don't kiss in front of Anna. And she's telling us that if we want to be together, then we should because she'll get over it. But I can tell that she's lying. And I really want to go out with him and actually have the promise of a relationship, but i don't want to hurt Anna. And some of my other friends that I've talked to about this situation, keep telling us to go out for goodness sake because they've known for months that something was going to happen. And know its finally so ridiculously close, and the biggest road block is in the way. I just want to know what to do because I can't wait until Anna gets over him to go out with him, because that could take months. Help?!?! (link)

Go out with him. You and Austin are already acting like you two are dating, so it would feel the same to Anna-- just official.
I don't think Anna would be hurt by it. She already said she wouldn't mind.
I've been in Anna's position, so I think she really does mean it. My best friend and I liked the same guy; the guy flirted with her more and generally liked her better... so I told my friend that I didn't like him (I did). She knew I was lying, but I told her that he obviously wouldn't like me anyways so I wouldn't care if they went out.
So just go for it.

i'm not really religious at all. my family doesn't go to church or anything and one day my parents found out i don't really believe in god. and they kinda like freaked and said we're going to start going to church and stuff [we never did]/ k so i have some questions about all this religion stuff.
-who wrote the bible?
-i mean really how is it possible that theres some great god up in the sky?
-who all thought of this? like there had to be someone who came up with this?
-who created these so called sins?
-if being gay is a "sin", why did this god create them?
-how do people know anything of what they looked like or did?

Hi, I'm a new Christian, and I don't go to Church services. However, I do go to Youth and I've started to read the Bible.
I don't know much yet, but I would like to address this question:
"i mean really how is it possible that theres some great god up in the sky?"
I know it sounds really fantastic that there is a God...but think about all the other things which seem so incredible that they can't be true (yet are!). This is how I reasoned out God must exist.
1. Traveling into space and to other planets and the moon (space shuttles, rockets, all of that)... think about it: how amazing is it that we can millions and millions of miles at such high speeds, in just a matter of days? You don't personally know that it's true, that we can do so, but it's possible and you don't say, "Well, they aren't really going into space. They're just prentending."
2. History: it's written in books-- about the Romans, the Greeks, ancient times, ancient events. It's in a book. You don't know for a fact that it's correct, yet you trust in it. You believe that such things happened, for granted, that they just are. Yet you weren't there when Julius Caesar was asassinated, when the Civil War happened.
3. The longevity of the belief in God. It's been thousands of years, but people have believed that God existed. Can billions of people be wrong? Well, yes, but most falsehoods are corrected in this modern age.
4. Hope. Is it not a dreary thought that when you die, that's it? You're going into the ground. Your soul and your body just die and you are nothingness? Tbat you don't exist anymore after your 60 or 80 years of life? If these is no God, then what is life? You live, do whatever because it doesn't matter--you're going to die anyways. Life would feel meaningless without God.
And here is what I wrote in my journal concerning the matter:
"Learning more about God. I want to get into Heaven and know him. I started reading the Bible. Well I figured that God MUST exist; how else did the world just spring up? Bam? Humans just happen to reign over the other animals? We have such great mental capacity. I don't think billions of people can be wrong for so long about God existing. Why else do communist counries hate religion so much? Because it gives us hope, and it's real? This 19 year old, stepsister to a classmate of mine, died in a car accident. That young. I know we can't just die and that's it--that we're nothingness, just a body in the ground. Something else must happen. And that is God. I am so grateful to God for everything he has blessed me with. Just being alive."
This answer was very long and it didn't cover all of your questions. I hope it didn't offend you, but this is how I felt about it.

To say the least, I want to look good for this school year. I have breakouts on my face including acne scars (i used to be a big zit picker XP) and im getting my brows waxed. I don't need too much help with my hair, I think its ok. (I'm getting it trimmed before school starts) I'm a normal weight, and I think I lost a few pounds. So that is ok. Umm, actually the only thing i need help with is my acne! I have braces, but I can't do anything about that... :( so yeah. thanks in advance guys! (o btw, i use st.ives apricot scrub, and then i use benzaclin which is a prescription acne medication. i use it regularly, and im seeing SOME results, but not much.... if anyone has any suggestions, they will be needed! I use Clearasi Ultra and it works really well. You can use it overnight and your acne will have improved. You can get it at most drugstores and places like Walmart. It is around $10.
I've been told that ProActiv works, but it is very drying for your skin.

So does love happen when you are not even thinking about it. I mean I see a lot of people that have love in their life and I wonder how did they get there? Is it all really planned out or do those people look for love? I just want to know if it's ever gonna happen to me? I'm tired of waiting for mr.right. I'm starting to think that he's not real. Maybe for other girls. not for me. I dont feel right going out with all the guys i have went out with. It seems to me that no guy out there is for me. No guys seems right. Everyone is just ugh! I haven't been in love before so I don't really know what it's like.
I know what you mean though...
Well I looked up (oreviously, for my own sake, lol, since sometimes I think I'll never get married) the percent of people who do get married eventually.
And it's 95%... so you have very good odds in your favor that you WILL find love.
I mean, isn't love the reason most people get married?
Anyways, if it doesn't feel right to go out with the guys you've went out with, you SHOULDN'T go out with people you don't like that much.
One day, love will find you.

Hey! I know what you're talking about... it's called a reverse dictionary and a good one (well pretty much the only one) I found was at:

Example, I typed: "running at maximum speed" and I got:
1. race
2. sprint
3. run
(along with a bunch of other words, but the first few are the most accurate)

Asics are definitely the way to go. They are very light on your foot and feel almost like nothing.
That's the kind I wear. I bought the first pair to try and now they're the only type of running shoe I wear.
My school trainer also recommends Saucony.
Try some on, and see how you like them. :)

Last time I was on here I asked a sex question and the Admin told me I couldn't ask it on this forum. Because of that I'm not sure if I will get an answer to this question but I need to ask anyway. I've no where else to turn.
I'm a 17/m and because of recent events I am at the crossroads of a potentially life changing decision. I'm a virgin. I've never been kissed or even so much as held hands. I've been on one date my whole life but I don't really count it because the girl didn't like me at all. I am an only child and live alone with my mother and father. I don't have many friends because I live in a small town and don't go to school or have a job (long story). I really never meet any girls for the same reason, but hopefully that will change when I start college in the winter. Anyway, my parents are leaving town in a few weeks and I have $200 in my bank account. I have been thinking of using this opportunity to hire and escort. I can't stand being a virgin anymore because I feel like a complete loser, but if the only sex I've ever had would be paid for I wouldn't exactly feel like the coolest guy ever either. Personally I think it's really awesome that you're still a virgin...but that's just me. A lot of girls will appreciate you for that.
Don't feel like you have to lose your virginity because that's the "cool" thing to do.
Why don't you spend that money on something a lot better than a one time thing? You can use it to buy stuff for college and the such. As you mentined, you're going to college and you'll meet a lot of new people there.

I know you said not to say this, but please don't do it:
1. Once you try it, you may be tempted to do it over and over. You may not necessarily become addicted your first time, but once you have done it, you may think, "Why not again?" And soon, you'll become addicted.
2. It's a waste of money.
3. You can DIE your first time. Really.
4. It kills your brain cells.
Also, who cares if it's fun? It's NOT cool and you shouldn't do itbecause your friend suggested it.
What other things are fun? So many others, and they're not harmful, or potentially lethal.
Get high on LIFE.

i think i'm getting in over my head, with two math classes and two honors classes. also, i'm in cheerleading that has practice 3-5:30 daily after school, and i'm in volleyball, which practices 6-8 every monday, wednesday, and thursday.
do you think i should drop one or both of the honors classes? [english and biology] i'm deffinately staying in algebra 2 and geometry, because i love math and i can deal with those.
personal experiences would be great.

I say keep all your classes.
My freshman year, I had geometry honors, latin 1 (which is weighted as an honors), english 1 honors, chemistry 1, a business class, and weightlifting/life management skills.
I ran cross country and track, and was in 3 clubs.
It got a little tough at times, but I managed to get all A's.
Just pay attention during class, study and do your homework during whatever free time you have.
It's better to take challenging classes than to skate by, taking easy classes.
And, you'll have a higher GPA + ranking. :)

ok well all my friends are a lot richer than me. they have really awesome houses with pools, game rooms, and all these fun things to do. so they always invite me over. and their parents take us to do a lot of fun things like boating, or go to their lake house, etc. but im afraid theyre gonna stop inviting me because i never invite them to my house. thats becuz my house is sooooo boring. i mean really, there is like NOTHING to do here except watch tv, and even thats really lame cuz like my whole family is in the same room with us. and we dont have a boat or a cabin or do anything fun that i could invite my friends to do. so i need some ideas of things i can do with my friends or invite them to do, that would be fun, so they wont think im just leaching off them or something. I know exactly what you mean because that's how I am too... except I don't have a tv.
I think your friends kind of "get" why you don't invite them to your house. If not, simply explain to them that there's nothing to do.
However, they could still go over to your house.
Usually my friends and I play some type of board game or cards (lol) and sit around, chill, and talk. You can also turn some music on. Get some snacks and you'll be having a party.
Or, you could plan a trip to a theme park or amusement park (with your parents driving or you if you can drive) or even just a nearby park. Go bowling.

So, I'm wondering about this guy...
He's 19 and he has a girlfriend, who I assume to be 19, too. She seems like a great person with a bubbly personality and a kind heart =)
Well, I was talking to him yesterday and he was saying stuff about her appearance. To outline her for you: she's about 5' 8" and she's got some extra luggage with like C/D cup breasts. Well, he was saying that she was on the borderline with her breastes as in her breasts are on the borderline of being to big? Like he doesn't like girls with big breasts and prefers small ones...I know it's really awkward for me to be even talking about thins.
But yeah. He was saying that he'd like for her to lose a little weight and that her breasts are on the borderline. And he was saying how Mine were the perfect size & how he wishes she could have my body and blah blah. Well, I told he that he sho7ld like her for her and her personality, not her appearance and he said that I was right and dropped the subject.
I don't know. What do you think about this guy? He's a really sweet, wonderful guy. I can tell you that. He's been here for me last year when I was a complete disaster emotionally & talked me out of suicide several times. But I don't know. What do you think of him? Hi, I can't teach you the entire Chinese language. However, I can teach you a few phrases.
Just leave me a message in my inbox about a couple of words or phrases you would like you to know how to say in Chinese.
I might not know some, because although I am Chinese, I'm not completely fluent in it.
Just so you know, there are various dialects of Chinese. The most common one is Mandarin, which is the type which I speak.

sorry this is kinda long?
i dont know if this is in the right category but wat ever. ohkay. so my hair is so frizzy. ive tried hair spray, gels, frizzy stuff (the kind you jsut rub in your hair), and tring to clip it down and then doing a head beand and shampoos and well basically none of its worked i have really curly hair and its dry. im too self concicous (sp?) to do anything with it besides putting it in a bun. So what im asking if anyone has styling ideas for someone with long curly hair (pics if possible and steps) not like a pony tail i know how to do that. and how to deal with my frizzy hair. please only respond with thing that work. sorry i have so many requirements but this hair thing is really aggivating.thank you in advance (link)

Hey,
I know this may sound weird but my friend swears it works.
Wash your hair with shampoo in the shower.
Rinse off.
Then towel dry your hair (it should still be pretty damp).
Get some regular conditioner. Make sure the conditioner is not too watery, too thin of a consistency. If it is, you will lose your curl.
A very inexpensive brand is Suave Radiant Brunette or whatever hair color you are.
Rub a great amount in your hair and leave it in. DON'T wash it off, until you take a shower.
Hope this works for you! Tell me how it goes.

I tried doing something and I guess it was a horrible idea after all.
I'll tell you the situation.
Kay well theres this boy[jimmy], me and my friend like but he doesnt talk to us that much anymore.
We decided to mess around and we made a screename, as if we were someone else [jenny].
We talked to him 2 nights in a row for like 5 hours, he even stayed up talking to "jenny" .
He never really knew her that well at all, becuase they are in different grades but they have like gym or computer the same period, so they see eachother on occasions.
The reason we chose to be Jenny was because Jenny was the best friend of Caroline, the girl Jimmy likes.
Continuing with the situation,he seemed to be nice and talk to Jenny online, he would always have something to talk about and try and make conversation.
He kinda started to flirt with her online.
Then on Monday,after the weekend of doing this, we realized something... what if he says something to Jenny about the IM's online.
She has no idea we did this, but what if Jimmy started to like her.
I figured that we wouldnt go on the screename again and just leave it at that until i saw Jimmy's BEST friend randomly talking to Jenny , they never talk!
Im scared that Jimmy told his best friend about her and now they might like her!
Me and my friend feel so dumb for doing this, even though it was fun

Ok, since you don't want Jimmy & his best friend liking Jenny, you should definitely confess.
Just say something along the lines of, "Sorry this really isn't Jenny's screenname, and she was never the one talking to you."
If you do this, Jimmy will:
1. Believe it.
2. Think it really is Jenny, and that she's mad or doesn't like him.
Don't say that it was really you and your friend or he'll think you're weird.
