i'm scared that there will be an earthquake in nyc tomorrow. can someone who lives in nyc give me advice? i am soo scared that there will be ann Earthquake becuse i am going with my choir to see nyc tomorrow! and all the earthquakes goin on im scared that one will happen with me there!

well i live in connecticut, which borders ny, and there's never been an earthquake here since i was born. it's pretty unlikely that an earthquake will happen because the tectonic plates don't meet anywhere near ny. theres always a possibility but if i were you, i wouldnt be worried about it! just enjoy your trip!!

hello i read your last answer about limewire not having viruses well im confused because when i asked a fry's technician they told me that 125% limewire gives viruses could that be true please help im stuck with a new computer and no musik thanks!

i think it depends on the person who downloads stuff because they aren't careful with what they download.... but i HIGHLY recommend that you use Ares instead of Limewire. I used Ares for at least 3 years and never had a problem. it's a lot more basic than limewire but it's safer. heres the link

What does it mean when you dream of meeting a celebrity and they're so nice to you but they're so mean and rude to your sister that they are sad and miserable?

Not sure if it means anything but that was my sister's dream and I'm just very curious =/

i took psychology and this is how i would interpret it:

dreams are a way of fulfilling your hidden wants, desires, and needs. also dreams are often involving things that have happened that day. so your sister probably wants to meet this celebrity and was thinking about it during the day. the part about them being mean to you may be some form of jealousy your sister has for you. maybe she wants to be more liked than you, or the center of attention. if you've been getting attention about something lately, she might have been feeling abandoned or something like that so in her dream she fulfilled her desire to be better than you.

i'm not an expert so i can be wrong, but we spent some time in psych talking about dreams so this is my best guess.

underneath the video theres a button that says share. click it and then it gives you the options of facebook, twitter, etc. they changed their whole layout so its real confusing but i the share buttons the third or fourth button underneath.

When a job application says "send resume to xxx@xxx.com", do i send it as an attatchment, or copy and paste it from the word document as text on the e-mail? I can see the advantage of an attatchment, i.e. its easier to read as its a seperate, but some people may be weary, because you get the "only open files from trusted sources" thing. Any Idea's? Thanks in Advance :)

If they don't specify which you should do then I would attach the file, then in the email type in something like "I've attached my resume, but I've also pasted it below." And then just copy and paste your resume into the email underneath that statement. Good luck!

say if youre somewhat fair complected and you were to go to a tanning bed around 2-3 a week for a month and then quit going (for health/safety & money reasons) about how long would that tan last? would it last just as long as a natural tan?

yes it would last the same. even though its like artificial sun, it still does the same thing the sun does, just faster. i remember reading that 10 minutes in a tanning bed is like spending 5 hours on the beach. (i'm anti tanning beds so i really recommend that you stop going! it's so bad for your skin and going tanning doesn't allow your skin time to recover. you'll get wrinkles early in life! get a spray tan lol)

i agree with the other person who said tip 20% but also... if the stylist did a really good job then give them 20% (or more if you wanted to) but if they did a bad job then knock it down to 15%.

do you know any good beauty products that will help get rid of blackheads? i have them all over my nose and i'm afraid if i don't get rid of them they'll get deeper and i'll have these ugly dots on my nose when i get older :/ thanks!

my friend uses some strips by Biore that go on your nose and then after a while you take them off. they work really well. also i hear you can rub baking soda all over your face after you wash it, then wash off the baking soda and i guess it gets rid of blackheads.

Okay I know I need to start thinking about what I want to do when I grow up! I will be in college VERY soon. So I have listed what I would like in a job. PLease if you cna tell me some jobs that would be good for me:

. FIRST PRIORITY: I want to help people, take care of them make them feel better.
. I want to make good money! Incase I have to live on a single income I want to be able to pay the bills and still go shopping.I don't want to live paycheck to paycheck.
. I don't want to have to go to college for 10 years, rather 4-5.
. I want to work with either teens and adults or elderly.
. I want to love my job.

sounds like you belong in medical or psychology areas. you can become a physician's assistant, nurse, etc. Or you could go in the direction of a psychologist (takes a lot of schooling, sooooo..). With a psychology degree of 4 years, you can become a guidance counselor, social worker, employment specialist, teacher, researcher, etc.
i know how you feel because i'm going to college in the fall but don't have a career in mind. you should go into your first year as undecided if you're not positive because you can explore interests and still get your basic classes done.

When I was a kid, I was signed with a modeling agency. Sometimes, my mom would actually take me to my job offers, where I got to star in movies / tv shows as an extra.

I'm 18 now, and I want to do it again. My question is, does one NEED an agency to hook them up with these jobs? If not, where can I find out about them and what necessary steps do I have to take?

No, you can become a extra without any experience or representation. I don't know where you live, but usually local newspapers will post them in the classifieds (jobs) section. There are websites that do this too, but some are scams so be careful. I know that this website ( http://www.open-casting-calls.info/ ) often posts about being an extra, but its all over location-wise. Being a part of an agency may increase the opportunities, but it really isn't necessary.
From what I know, when you sign up to be an extra, they have a process where you send in your information (not sure if it requires an actual resume & headshot type deal...) and then they choose.

i have a really close group of friends. and usually i have a lot of fun with them, sometimes i can't stand them. but today was just terrible.

i had the most problems today with one of my better friends lexi. she was just being taking me to seriously and always contradicting herself by what she was telling me. but the thing that really upset me what in social studies. i have that class with lexi, my best friend, and another close friend.

well, sometimes i say stuff and i don't know why like it's weird but i can't control what i say sometimes.. well i started making fun of deaf people and stutters because i was watching a show last night about them. i know what i said was wrong and i wish i could take it back so don't judge me too harshly.

anyways then lexi said 'you know i'm going to laugh hysterically when you go to hell.' and it was just so mean the way she said it like i saw evil in her eyes. but that really bothered me. and it didn't help that my other friend joins in and says 'yeah, me too.' (and she doesn't believe in that stuff) THEN my best friend says stuff too. i can't really recall what she said but she was definately against me.

it didn't feel nice to be ganged up on so i just ignored them and didn't talk to them the rest of the day.

if it bothered me that much that they said that, like i almost started crying and i don't cry at all, does that make me such a bad person.

i just am really upset by that so if you have any advice on what to do please help.

honestly, just by this story, i would say that they aren't true friends. i know this use to happen to me sort of and i dont like confrontation, so i didnt want to go up to my friend and say why i wasnt talking to her. so one day online she IMed me and asked if i was mad, so then i dealt with it that way. but if you feel comfortable saying it to her face, then definitely bring it up. neither of them should say things like that, if anything they shouldve just said, "that was mean, you shouldnt make fun of them."
it sounds like the girl who said "yeah me too" is probably a follower and wants to be like lexi so she probably didnt really mean it. but lexi seems like a bitch (no offense) whos insecure with herself so she says stupid shit to her friends.
its possible she was having a bad day and didnt really mean what she said, but if this is a constant thing where she says hurtful things to you, i'd say try finding some new friends. good luck and sorry this is so long.

And i had sex maybe 3-4 days after my period. It was not protected, and he came in me. He didnt pull out fast, but, he did pull out. I have been feeling sick. Its been a week today since we had sex. And i cant take an acurate pregnancy test tell the 23rd. Is there a good chance im pregnant?

this guy has a girlfriend, but i'm in love with him. i can't go a day without thinking about him. what should i do? i think i should give up because they've been together since august and we're freshman. he's in all of my classes though and we get along.. should i give up on him?

Because you're only freshmen, I'd say to definitely stay friends, but don't let him prevent you from meeting new guys or whatever. I'm a senior and I don't know any relationship that's lasted since freshmen year, so don't expect them to get married or anything. Basically, live your life and hang around with other guys, but keep this guy in your life in case they do break up ;) haha.

i hate when people tell me this, but find a new hobby! it really helps pass time. if you can drive & have some extra cash then this is easier. I personally play tennis, so maybe you could try a new sport. I use to knit, which is really easy once you start going. If you're looking to do things with friends, I'd say go see movies or go shopping. If you're home alone, learn a dance, lines from movies/shows, or just sing loudly. You can be daring and learn an instrument if you have one. during breaks for me, i never have plans with friends, so i usually stay home and have to entertain myself so i know how you feel. i hope i helped! if you want more ideas just ask!

you definitely dont have to be worried. its completely normal. the colors range from like deep brown, light brown, all the way to dark red and bright red. as long as it not a funky color like yellow or something, then you're completely normal :) and like the other person said below me... its old blood so dont be worried since you usually have a heavy period.
