What job would I be good at, and like? Okay I know I need to start thinking about what I want to do when I grow up! I will be in college VERY soon. So I have listed what I would like in a job. PLease if you cna tell me some jobs that would be good for me:
. FIRST PRIORITY: I want to help people, take care of them make them feel better.
. I want to make good money! Incase I have to live on a single income I want to be able to pay the bills and still go shopping.I don't want to live paycheck to paycheck.
. I don't want to have to go to college for 10 years, rather 4-5.
. I want to work with either teens and adults or elderly.
. I want to love my job.
THANKS

Nursing- short education(compared to other medical fields) and good salary when coming out of school. You get to meet and help many people.
Caretaker- Same as nursing, but you spend longer time with a person. Good salary, and also fits into the nursing field.
Counselor- short education and pretty decent salary when first coming out of school. You get to meet and help many people.
Priest- You don't have to actually believe in the faith. I have some friends who are priests and preachers and they could care less in God. You will be helping people by making them feel better in any way. You don't get much money, but that is resolved by the benefits of this job, because you get your own room, and some people will donate to YOU and not the church. ]
Either RN or LPN.
I would just go the extra year and become an RN. That easily pays the bills. Right now I work in an assisted living facility. I'm going to get certification as a certified nursing assistant. A lot of jobs will pay for you to get that certification. I suggest though looking for some good references. ]
sounds like you belong in medical or psychology areas. you can become a physician's assistant, nurse, etc. Or you could go in the direction of a psychologist (takes a lot of schooling, sooooo..). With a psychology degree of 4 years, you can become a guidance counselor, social worker, employment specialist, teacher, researcher, etc.
i know how you feel because i'm going to college in the fall but don't have a career in mind. you should go into your first year as undecided if you're not positive because you can explore interests and still get your basic classes done.
good luck! ]
