Question Posted Sunday March 21 2010, 8:39 pm

Hey!
When you get your hair done at a salon, how much are you supposed to tip the stylist? Thanks in advance. :)

15-20% is the customary tip, but really, you can tip whatever you want.

i agree with the other person who said tip 20% but also... if the stylist did a really good job then give them 20% (or more if you wanted to) but if they did a bad job then knock it down to 15%.

Depending on the Bill...

I personally tip 20%, Hair stylist are really no different then a waitress at a restaurant. They might not serve you food, But they still take the time to cut your hair and style it the way you want it.

If the bill is 20.00 (Double the 2) Tip= $4.00

30.00 (Double the 3) Tip = 6.00

And so on...
