Q: I'm writing an essay for english on this quote from "The Hours" :

"It had seemed like the beginng of happiness and Clarissa is still sometimes shocked more than 30 years later that it was happiness;that the entire experience lay in a kiss and a walk, the anticipation of dinner and a book"

What does it mean?

All I have is that happiness is not measured in the amount of money you make or the car you drive, but the little things that make you happy. Life flies by so fast that you never stop and realize how great the little things are.

Is that on the right track?

this quote means that all the simple things that are everyday things make her happy and she's shocked that thats all it took to be happy .

Q: This isn't exactly pets, but it's the closest one.

In my neighborhood, a stray dog keeps wandering around. It's eating grass and the fur around the joints is gone. I feel really bad for the dog, but my mom won't let me take him in. Everytime I go inside to get a number for an animal shelter, he runs away. I need an idea on what to do.

get a bowl ( you can use tuna or lunch meats ) of food put it down in a cage or a big box with holes when he goes in closet and have your mom drive you to an animal shelter . try not to touch the dog he may be very sick .

Q: All the music files on my computer got deleted, so now i dont have any music in my iTunes library. However, the music is still on my ipod. Is there any way i can get the music from the ipod to my computer, if so how? Thanks in advance

if you plug your ipod in it will delete all the music on the ipod (its happened to me ) call apple and see if you can get it restored ( you better hope you save the music recetes ) if not the you can make a new acount and start fresh.

Q: when you pop a pimple, is it bad when the blood comes out ..like after the white stuff? meaning is the blood bad when you pop a pimple

no its good because all the puss is gone , the blood isn't bad but when you pop a pimple the bacteria from the pimple tends to spread causeing more pimples .

Q: Alright, I was assigned to write two articles for the school newspaper. The first has to be something about Christmas...but I can't think of anythin that isn't cynical/witty/overly sarcastic. Any ideas?

Q: I have a question about acres on properties. A friend of mine just bought a house and bragged that it had 16 acres on the property. I thought that was a lot until I read that Brad Pitt just bought a house in Calgary that had 1000 acres! I'm confused, I don't know how large an acre is. Can someone tell me how large 16 acres is, like could you compare it to the size of something else? Also, it 16 acres as big as my friend made it sound to be, or was he just bragging for nothing?

16 acres is ALOT , thats more than enough to build a big house with a great back yard ! your friend has definite braging rights.

Q: I hate my life. Here's a little bit about it.
I have un diagnosed a.d.d or adhd, i'm 14, I ive in the stupidest town ever, i suck at everything i do, i hate my family, i do not work up to my potencial, i'm ugly, i'm too skinny, i'm not allowed to have ''too much fun'', i'm not allowd to have a girlfriend, i'm constantly depressed, i dont have any friends because i'm too much of a ''geek'', i get many racist jokes cracked about me every day.

i just dont know what to do, i just got in a big fight with my parents and I didn't realize until now, just how much i HATE my life.

ok , so you have a.d.d. so does just about everyone in america . You live in a stupid town , get good grades go to college make money and move out ! your probably not ugly and you may be skinny but who cares ! you just want to pick at any little thing to feel sorry for yourself . so your not aloud to have a girlfriend , the way you talk about yourself no girl would want to be with you . you don't have friends because your depresed and no one likes people who are down so find something to look foward to like you leaving your stupid town and get happy ! then maybe if you smile and join in a conversation you'll have some friends . people crack jokes at you because you let them . when they see your depressed and everything gets to you , your an easy target to pick . use your mouth and say something back ! figure out what you really hate then try to fix it because its not normal to hate everything ! good luck.

Q: I would just like to find out how my daughter and boyfriend can get help regarding there son (10months) getting injured at Nursery, burnt by boiling water on his hand and top part on arm(wrist).

This has caused a great deal of inconvienience to them taking time of work and travelling to the hospital to change dressing every 2nd day. This has also caused stress on my grandson and my daughter?

you need a lawyer , go to court your guarrented to win . they will pay for hospital ,traveling , emocinal stress and loss of buisness .

Q: i was absent one day at school for a lab, and i'm going to bring in a doctor's note for documentation. i was just wondering if school officials actually call up the doctor to verify that i came in? my doctor actually just left town two days ago. i heard there is a confidentiality rule with a job, but i don't know if it goes through with higher education...i just don't want my professor to think that i'm bs-ing it.

well because your eating in public you may feel nervous like everyone is watching what you eat (selfconsiousness) which is pretty normal being a teen . all you can do is try , eat something small or snack on carrots at lunch.

they mean that they go to work at 9 a.m. and leave a 5 p.m. thats what 9 to 5 means

Q: In school, we are learning about noticing good paragraphs. And for our project, we have to identify certain writing styles. Lets say that the style is descriptive imagery. I have found a paragraph and I want to know WHY it's good. I don't know how to explain why it's good, it just is. Would anyone know any ideas on how to explain why it's good?? I'm not asking you to do my homework, I just need some ideas.

say the paragraph flows nicely , the paragraph has good mechanics , the paragraph stays on topic , the paragraph has a thesis , the paragraph is descriptive that sort of thing

yes , the .1% never happens thought. they just say that so they can't get sued because no drug is ever 100% . don't worry .

well if you've had your period for about a year to two years its normal that it may stop for some time up to 6 months . its not because you drink cold drinks , it may be a good idea to see a gyno though . the won't touch you your too young . they'll take a blood test to see your hormone levels and where there at .

Q: I cheated on my ex-boyfriend while we were together. I realized I did not love him, and broke it off with him after that. Well, I still loved him very much and he loved me, so one day we decided to hang out as friends. Well, one thing led to another and we ended up having sex. Well, I realized how much of a mistake that was, so I stopped seeing him or talking to him completely.

Now I found out I am pregnant. I am 19 years old and he is 20. My ex-boyfriend is a really good person and I think he'd make a very good father. If our problems weren't enough, here is the biggest issue.

He is foreign. He is staying in the country on a student visa. He will have to leave in 6 months unless we get married. I desperately don't want him to leave. Not for me, but for our future child. The flight to his country and back to visit would be 1200 dollars per trip. Everyone is pressuring us to get married so he can fulfill his fatherly duties and our child could have both parents around. We've research all possible ways he could stay, and it basically comes down to him marrying me.

What should I do? I can't see myself being with this person forever, but I can't see my child only getting to see his father once a year or so. I am seriously thinking about marrying him until he becomes a citizen, and then divorcing. Ugh, it's so frustrating, I don't even want to think about it!!!

well you could get married but live in separate appartments and live separete lives . when he becomes a citezen divorce him . you don't have to live together like a married couple , he could see the baby but you wont have to have the commitment of a married couple.

Q: My parents are getting divorced because my mum is unhappy.
Anyway I found out that she was cheating on my dad.
I followed her one day down the end of my road where she got into a car with a guy, Mark. I know it was him because I heard her talking about him to her friends and I know its her old boyfirend.
She didnt come home that night.
I feel weird towards her.
I don't know what to do. My dad doesnt know. Should I tell him. I don't want to hurt either of my parents.
Will this affect the divorce porceedings?

yes it will affect the proceddings . you have to do what you feel right telling and not telling your father
