(Sorry this is so long)

I have a crush on this guy, and I have for a while. Like...ever since school started. I was doing this psychic board thing (Kinda like an oija board) and usually I never believe those things, but it kept insisting that he liked me, too.

So I kinda went along with it still not believing it, and kinda watched what he did around me. I started talking to him online and he gets really nervous and doesn't know what to say and won't talk a lot. In school, he looks at me and stretches in the middle of class and he'll accidently touch my leg or my desk or something and pull back his hand, blush, and say: "Oh, I'm sorry." And I always laugh at my jokes, because if I don't he'll look back at me and then kinda bow his head.

Anyways, my friend has had a crush on the guy since she was in Preschool. She's in 8th grade with me now. She's really jealous because I keep telling her I think he likes me, and finally she told me how much she likes him, and how they used to be best friends but then he became popular and they grew apart.

So whenever I talk about him she gets really jealous and hurt and yells at me to stop talking. I'm afraid if I go out with the guy she'll have a nervous breakdown, or be afraid to hang out with me anymore.

So my two questions:
1. Do you think this guy likes me? If so, should I ask him out?
2. Do you think if he does like me, SHOULD I ask him out? Or should I be considerate of my friend? Because she said she's never going to actually ask him out, 'cause she knows he would say no, but she doesn't want me going out with him.

What should I do?

There is a good chance that he might like you, and the only way to find out for sure is to ask him, but I do think honestly that you shouldn't go out with him if he does like you because friends are far more important than boyfriends, and i don't think that this is worth losing a friend. I've liked somebody for three years and i know that if i knew one of my friends liked him and thought that he liked her i would be mad because you just don't do that to friends. I know that you can't help who you like, but I would suggest not talking about him as much in front of your friend. Hope I could help!

I hate myself and want to die. There is no way out. There is no definite answer to anything so how can you ever be right? Why do my friends always want to know what i am thinking when they dont care, they dont listen so why ask. Counsellors get PAID to listen to you. no one will remember me a year from my death. Anti depressants leave you numb and emotionless. Doctors dont issue sleeping pills coz I am a depressant but I cant SLEEP all i do is stare into senseless nothing seeing nothing but black shadows. The only releif is a razor blade and salt. Nothing will ever get better i will have this hopeless feeling of nothingness and desperation for somekind of peace of mind which i wont get. Things will always be the same and then ill die anyway. Im a selfish ugly fat bitch and the only way out is death. nothing can help me. im searching for a solution to get past my pathetic problems asides from counsellors, therapy, rehab, cutting, not cutting, anti depressants the only thing i can think of to a solution is death. no will will ever be able to stop this drowning feeling

I cried when I read that. You said that you thought counselors don't care about your problems, they just try to help because they get paid to do it. That's totally not true. If they hated listening to your problems and didn't care they wouldn't have picked that job in the first place. When you choose your job, you choose something you love to do. They love to help people and REALLY do care about your problems. Stop thinking such angry thoughts about yourself. There must be some good qualities you have. Just because someone thinks they're fat or ugly doesn't mean they still don't have other good qualities. Everybody is the way they are for a reason. If everyone was pretty and had a good figure, then there would be no diversity and everyone would be the same. Someone who's pretty and has a good body might not have as many talents or any other good traits as someone who's not so pretty. Even though you may not feel this way, beauty comes from within and I bet that you have a lot of beauty, but you're refusing to let it shine and all your thinking about is your bad qualities. Dieing is not the way to think or to succeed in your problems. If you feel like you have no one else to listen to please talk to me and leave messages in my inbox. I'm a really good listener and I don't get paid to help. Just please don't kill yourself, you CAN get through this!

i know alot of girls probably do this.. but i always compare myself to models and girls who i believe are prettier than me.. im always putting myself down and looking in the mirror finding everything thats wrong with me and wishing i was perfect like other girls I know... does anyone else do the same.. how do you get over it

I'm the exact same way. Believe me, you're not the only one. Even celebrities and the prettiest girls do it. You just have to always remember that nobody's perfect. I usually get over it by remembering a time when someone said that I was pretty or remembering a nice compliment that made me feel good.

15/f i'm having a party on saturday for my birth day and i would like to know ideas for games and just fun stuff to do so that this party will not be boring. there will be guys and girls. also, any tips would be great! thank you!

Put on some music and have a dance competition or a lip sync competition. Then put names in a hat of all the girls that are coming, and names in another hat of all the guys that are coming. Have the girls pick a name from the guys hat and have the guys do the same. The name the person picks is the person they get to make out with. If you want any more ideas drop one in my inbox.

i know its dumb, but i always get emotional on the last day of school. this year, im graduating 6th grade and im afraid ill cry and look dumb.

Don't worry, it's sad to leave each grade. If you're worried about the other kids making fun of you I doubt they will, but if you want to try not to cry you have to think of happy and funny things. Don't think about how it's the last day of school... think of something funny that will put a smile on your face! Or think about something that you're really really happy about, like say you just found out the guy you have a crush on likes you back, or your going on an awesome vacation this summer.

You need to talk about it with him. If you've had him for 17 years and really love him than you can't let him just throw all of that away. Tell him that you two have been together for so long and and that you really love him (if you do) and he can't just throw all of that away. Than say that you're not really sure whether he loves you as much as you love him. I don't think you should be nervous... I believe everything happens for a reason in life - it's fate. If you two were really ment to be together I think that he would realize it and not dump you. If not and he dumps you, you may feel heartbroken, but that's just the way life is.

here it goes, my friend has always been nice to me, but after she she got this new group of friends... every time i come ova her house it's "Wanta invite my friend ova".when eva her friends are ova she's not herself anymore. i tryed to talk her about it but,now she thinks i hate her friends(which I do). anyway how can i keep my friendship and stil get time alone with my friend?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many people, in fact, do get new groups of friends in middle school. It's really hard to hold on to your friends when everything and everyone is changing. You should start to hang around with other friends too. You should never limit yourself to just one friend! I think that your friend may just be excited to have new friends, and that's why she wants to be with them so much. Or maybe she feels lonely when it's just the two of you, and thinks it would be more fun to include more people. You have to try to like her new friends. Maybe the reason you hate them is that you're jealous that they're always with your friend. Don't worry, this stuff is normal. I'm 13 also and have experienced times like this. Tell your friend that you're really sorry, you just felt like you two never got time alone together like you used to. If you want her to accept your appology, you are going to have to tell her that it's okay if she has other friends too. Think about it... how would you like it if you had a new group of friends, but your friend didn't like them? You wouldn't want to pick and choose which friend to be with, and which one not to. You're friend should be really glad when you tell her you accept her new friends. You should also try to get and know her new friends. If the reason you hate her new friends is because you feel like they're taking your friend away from you, forget about all of that and try to get to know them better. Who knows... maybe you'll end up becoming friends with them!

I would say you shouldn't go out with guys any older than 16. Older guys can sometimes not be the best to go out with. They are more mature so you may feel obligated and they will want you to do things with them that you may not be ready to do.

Ok, Recently i told this boy lets call him kyle i like him and i really have major feelings for him and he told me he has serious feelings for me we keep writing to eachother and flirting but i have a boyfriend... lets call him justin and kyle and justin sit at the same table at lunch and usually justin walks me to gym and he forgot about me and i forgot about him and is that a sign to break up with justin and go out with kyle? please help me i know this is confusing but i really need help! i'll rate high!

Well,it probably wasn't the best idea to tell Kyle your feelings about him since you were still going out with Justin. Do you still like Justin? If your confused whether you still like him or not think about this: Do you love to be around him? Does your heart pound when you're near him or you see him? If you were with him while you were crying could he put a smile on your face? If yes is the answer to these questions then you probably still like him. If no is the answer then you probably don't. Now, which guy would you rather be with... Justin or Kyle? If Kyle is the answer then dump Justin... it's not fair to be going out with him if you have feelings for Kyle. If Justin is the answer but you still like Kyle you have two choices - stay with Justin or go single. I personally think that the best decision would be for you to go single because its not fair to Justin or Kyle if lets say you stay with Justin but you still like Kyle becaue the guy you go out with should be the only guy in your heart.

I have a friend and his really special for me, his a guy. And I want to help him , cause I care for him. He smoke weed. I keep telling him to stop but he wont. what should I tell him to stop. Please help me.

get all of the information you can about how smoking is dangerous. you need to scare him about smoking with all of the horrible things that can happen to you when you smoke so he won't want to do it. tell him that if hes ur friend then he should listen to you and that you really care about him. also say that you'll stop hanging out with him if he doesn't stop. if he cares about you as much as you care about him then he'll stop when you tell him that you won't hang out with him if he keeps smoking. the reason that he won't stop could be that he's addicted. if that's the case then you need to do whatever you can to help him stop. if he is addicted then meet with a doctor with you and him and ask the doctor how he can try to stop. gum helps to stop addictation because its keeping your mouth busy so it takes away that craving for a cigarette. hope i could help!

I like this kid a lot. My friend is on his bus and they are both friends, she helped us become boyfriend and girlfriend. I think she may like him because she always talks about their inside jokes together. It started to annoy me, but i didn't tell her that. Then her and I started to get into fights for no reason but we always made up. One of the fights my friend michelle told her i was mad because i thought that she liked eric (my boyfriend.) She said she didn't though, so we made up. We haven't been getting into fights lately, but her and eric have recently gotten in a fight where they told each other they weren't going to be friends anymore. My friend was cursing about him behind his back and saying all these bad things about him like how rude he was. That upset me. Then one day on the bus she sat with him and when she came into school she said to me that she wasn't mad at him and then in a very dreamy voice she said "We sat together, we talkedm, and we laughed." I told my boyfriend about this and how i felt like she liked him and he said that he only liked me and i didn't have to worry about him ever liking her. I don't want to talk to my friend about it because we will get into another fight and i can't stand that. Now they are friends again. My friend told me that she had a dream that a really hot guy who looked like eric liked her and then today she told me that in the game sims she made me and eric be married and that i cheated on him and he turned out to be gay. Do you think my friend want likes him and wants him to like her? Do you think my boyfriend likes her? What should I do about this situation? I can't tell my friend how I feel and i won't dump my boyfriend because i like him too much. Please help!

i dont think that your boyfriend likes your friend, but i think that your friend likes your boyfriend. she probably hasn't told you so because she didnt want to hurt your feelings or for you two to get in a fight. you cant tell her who she can like and who she cant, her heart does what it wants. since shes your friend and all, i dont think that she wants to take him away from you, but she can't help liking him. imagine being in her position. lets say that your friend is the one going out with your boyfriend and you secretly like him. would you tell her about it? you probably wouldn't because you wouldn't want to hurt her feelings and you probably wouldn't want to take him away from her. I think your friend is just trying to be a good friend by not telling you so that you won't get mad. If the fights you have been getting into lately were about your boyfriend, try to stay away from that topic. ive decided that i want to lose weight buy running up and down the stairs because i cant go outside cause it has snow and i cant go to the gym because my parents wont drive me their. well anyways i planned on running up and down the stiars so how long should i run for and when should i do them for best results! thanks

i dont know about running on the stairs... but there's many exersises and tips to losing weight that you can do in your own home! here's something great i copied from a website:

Cold winter temperatures may have you reaching for fatty eats and skipping your usual workout routine. But there's no reason you have to pack on the pounds just because it's cold outside! Jellybean presents a great fitness routine that you can do at home.

This routine gives you a total body workout. Do it three times a week and you'll be ready to wear skimpier fashions again in spring!

Tip: Drinking water throughout your exercise routine will keep your muscles hydrated and contribute to your fitness level.

You'll Need:
-A furniture-free area to work out in
-Your favorite dance/upbeat music CDs
-A watch (for timing exercise/rest periods)
-A towel
-A basketball or soccer ball
-An orange
-A broomstick
-A tall glass of water

Step 1: Aerobic Workout
If you have stairs in your home, you have a fantastic way to condition your heart and lungs while toning your legs and butt. Climb up and down the steps for a minimum of 20 minutes for a fat-burning aerobic workout. Beginners should start with five minute blocks of exercise and gradually increase it as they get in better shape, to reach the 20 minute mark.

To keep your stair-climbing from getting dull, put on some fun or funky music that will inspire you to keep moving. Or, split the workout by climbing steps for the first half and dancing to the music for the second half. Just move your body!

(If you live in a one-story home, just dance for the full 20 minutes).

Step 2: Strengthening and Toning Exercises

Squeeze Play
Targets: Your inner thighs and butt. Spread out your towel as an exercise mat. Grab your basketball or soccer ball and lie down on the towel. Place the ball between your thighs and squeeze your legs together as hard as you can for five seconds. Relax, then repeat for a total of 10 times. Rest for 60 seconds, then do 10 more squeezes.

Wall Sit
Targets: The back of your thighs and your butt.
Stand with your back against a wall. Move your feet out about a foot in front of you, keeping your back against the wall. Now slowly lower your body by bending your knees, sliding down the wall, until you are in a "sitting" position. Hold for 10 seconds. You will feel the pull in your thighs and bum. Slowly push back up the wall by straightening your knees, until you are standing up again. Do 10 times in total.

Crunches
Targets: Your upper and lower abdominals (tummy muscles).
Lie down on your towel, bend your knees and place your feet flat on the floor. Cross arms in front of you with each hand on the opposite shoulder, like you're a mummy. Clench your stomach muscles tight (like clenching your fist) and keeping your back very straight, slowly raise your upper body up until your shoulder blades are off the floor. Go as high as you can, making your stomach muscles lift your body, but don’t pull your neck forward. (It may help to place an orange under your chin, so you can’t cheat and use your neck to pull you up). Hold for a second at the highest point, then slowly lower back down. Do 10 to 15 of these, rest for 60 seconds, then do 10 to 15 more.

Ab Twists
Targets: Your upper and lower abs, and your obliques (the muscles that run along the sides of your tummy and define your waist).
Get your basketball or soccer ball and sit on your towel with feet shoulder-width apart. Toes should be pointing up, so that feet are resting on your heels. Holding your ball with both hands, extend your arms straight out in front of you. Slowly lie back, tucking in and tightening your abdominals at all times. Stop halfway to the floor and twist to the left, reaching toward the floor with the ball. Hold for one full second, then slowly twist over to the right side, and hold for one second. Breathe normally and concentrate on keeping your tummy tight throughout the exercise. Do 10 to 15 of these, rest for 60 seconds, then do 10 to 15 more.

Modified Push-Ups
Targets: Your chest and arms
Fold your towel into a small square and place it under your knees for comfort. Kneeling on the towel, walk your hands forward until your torso is at a 45-degree incline. Hands should be slightly wider than shoulder-width apart, with your fingers spread. Tuck in your tummy and inhale as you lower yourself (stop when your torso is about two inches off the floor). Hold for a second, then squeeze your chest muscles as you press back up to the starting position. Repeat for a total of 10.

Step 3: Flexibility Stretches

Pull You
Stretches: The backs of your legs and your lower back.
Sit on the floor with your legs straight out in front of you, placing the towel around your feet. Grab the ends of the towel with each hand and gently pull yourself forward from the hips until you feel the stretch. Hold for 10 seconds (don't bounce).

Trunk Twists
Grab your broomstick and place it behind your back at hip level, hooking your arms around the stick so it rests on your forearms. Standing with your feet shoulder-width apart and toes pointed straight ahead, slowly turn your upper body in one direction as far as you can without forcing. Return to start position and then repeat the stretch in the opposite direction.

Step 4: Aerobic Interval
For another calorie-burning blast, turn up your CDs and dance yourself silly for 5 minutes (about 2 songs). Really move your body! Not only will you burn fat, but you'll release stress and muscle tension.

Step 5: Wind Down
To wind down from your exercise routine and return your heart rate to normal, perform this cooling stretch. Hey, you're almost done!

Hello Ceiling, Hello Floor
Standing with feet shoulder-width apart, reach your arms up toward the ceiling. Really reach, standing up on your toes and spreading out your fingers and stretching your whole body up as high as it will go. Hold thes stretch for a few seconds. Then lower your heels to the floor, and slowly let your body roll down from the waist until your hands are grazing the floor and your hair is hanging upside down. Relax in that position for several seconds. Then slowly curl up, vertebrae by vertebrae, until you are standing upright again.

That's it, you've made it!
