I am a 16 year old girl, who loves to act and I love to preform in shows. I have done many shows but my problem is I am not a singer. To be honest, my voice is pretty awful, so I can only really get parts in non-musicals or just be in the chorus for musicals. This is fine with me, but I love singing so much I just wish to improve my voice a little. Now I am not asking for a transformation that will suddedenly land me the lead in a musical...I know that isn't realistic, but I would like to improve my voice. I do NOT want to have a voice teacher...I don't think my parents would spend money on that nor do I want to be that serious. Are there any other ways of improving my voice? Any tricks anyone knows? Also are there any websites that can help you for FREE? Also what would be a good broadway song to sing at an audition?...my voice is on the lower side (I cannot hit high notes). Thanks You! (link)

My aunts a singer and she says the first step is to learn how to control your voice. To do this, she suggest turning the volume way up in your car and singing along really really loud. When you learn how to project your voice while still controling the pitch, you get better a lot quicker. The biggest part about singing is pitch, i suppose, but if you're usally singing quiet getting louder will make your voice crack. If you have a lower voice, singing louder is actually easier. A good audition peice? hmm... i really don't know many broadway peices. But New York, New York would apear to have some good low-pitch lyrics if sung in the right key. Really, you just need to sing all the time. In the car will probably help.

ok so theres this guy and i really like him and he really likes me. but were not going out. its a long story. anyways he asked me if i have ever kissed anyone and i said no and he was like well maybe i can change that next time we go to the movies. i was like um..ok. but now i dont no wat to do. because we might go to the movies on sunday. and like i dont no if i really want to kiss him. part of me does and part of me doesn't. if i don't how do i tell him? please help me i will rate high! thanks in advance! If he leans in for a kiss, politely turn your head and tell him you're not ready for that. Enjoy the movie and don't make things akward after that. I find it works best if you just go about like nothing happened. If he insists after you politely ask him to stop, then he's being rude and you may want to consider re-thinking your decision on persuing this guy. If you're up for it, kiss him! or ask him out. Whichever seems more apropriate at the time, really. Who knows, maybe he'll chicken out too lol.

AHHH I start high school tomorrow and I haven't been to public school since fourth grade. i'm really nervous :-/. 1stly, because i don't know ANYONE, and i'm afraid i'm not gonna make any friends. 2ndly, i'm gonna be terrible with finding classes, and with all the different teachers! so... Aw highschool isn't so bad. You'll get in there with your schedule the first day and wander around a bit. The teachers are really helpful with finding classes and perhaps you'll meet a few people in your homeroom or in your lunch you can hang out with. Just stay calm and be yourself. If you're not a horrible, ugly, mean, old, slut than you shouldn't worry lol. And i'm sure you're not. =)

i am going to be going away for a week to aruba and that means : no cell phone service.. i might be ablt to talk to my boyfriend somedays but maybe not. i am going to miss him so much and i want to do soemthing special with him before i go, im scared he`ll cheat=( even thought i doubt he wont it still makes me scared.. anything sweet i could do?.. i was goin to right a note telling him how much i cared and stuff and sneak it in his wallet but is there anything we could do the night before? thanksss♥ (link)

When i think sweet and romantic, i always think stars. Perhaps, if the weather is nice, you can have a little picnic outside at night and stargaze with eachother. I've always thought that would be absolutely beautiful =) or perhaps you could make him a present or something for no reason. Perhaps a little basket filled with little nick-nacks and a photo of you and him together or something. Maybe you could put the note in the basket? And maybe you could send letters to him from aruba. Postcards, you know? That'd be sweet. =) And if you need to, tell him your concerns about him cheating. There's nothing more important in a relationship than trust, so it's better to confront him about it and get your facts straight so you dont' have to worry about it while you're in aruba and can enjoy yourself all the same. IT's only a week. You needn't worry, i'm sure.

A lot of people say you will regret cutting your hair, but it's just hair. It'll grow out. It's not like your permenantly scarring your face or something. I like to just go for it. I had long hair, down past my shoulders. It was a little layered, but it was driving me crazy. (i hate having long hair... it gets in the way and i always pull it back) So. I went into my bathroom, and choped it all off =). It's now just above my chin with this blunt cut that's really cute cuase my hair flips out just right. My bangs frame my face nicely. And then, i decided to change the color too. (i had this dark blonde mousy brown color that was jsut blah) so i dyed it this pinkish/purply/red color for a tint, and i'm putting bright pink highlights in today. Just do something drastic and if it's not what you want, just let it grow out, or dye it back to your natural color. The great thing about hair is that it's not permenant and you can always change it. If not, wear a hat. ;)

I got a new neighbor a few months ago, tight before school started, he's nice and sweet and loads of fun to be around. I told him i liked him a few weeks after he moved in but he said he had a gf who he loved and would never leave. so i kinda gave up, but lately we have become wicked good friends. we hang out all the time at my house or we just walk around the neighborhood. a few weeks ago he tried to kiss me while we were on my trampoline(he admited to it later) but i had a bf at that point and he was still with his girl so i just turned away and got back up. the next day he tells me that he dumped his girl. the next day i get dumped by my bf cuase he wanted to date some slut in a grade below us. so i tell him that. my neighbor and i were on my trampoline again and we are kindalike wrestling a little...and he started feeling me up then we started making out.he pushed away from me and started saying why...why...why...i was soo confused. it was my first kiss too. aparrently he had gotten back together with his gf the day before,he didn't want to cheat on her so we stopped. like 2 minutes later he is fingering me and we are making out again.when we finally stop my brother was pulling in the driveway so we separated quickly and he went home(my bro saw nothing thank goodness).i told my friend who knows everything about me and guys that he kissed me and only that he kissed me i didn't tell anyone else and she said something about it to him and he flipped at me. he didn't want anyone to know cuase then his sis would find out and she would tell his rents then his rents will tell his gf who will start cutting or something again. he stopped talking to me and then one day last week i was sick from school and the next day he asked me if everthing was okay and we started talking again. we started hanging out again. but now we include my friend a lot cuase she lives down the street and we were down at her house and we were watching a cartoon thing on her comp and she was sitting at her computer desk and i was sitting like right next to her on the piano bench and he was sitting behind me. during this cartoon thing he started tickling my side so i grapped his hand. i let it go after i moved it away and then he tickled me again so i grabbed his hand again and he laced his fingers in mine. he just plays with my head like that all the time. should i tell him to stop or no? i really like him and everything but nothing can really form with his gf still there.What do you think i should do? Alright, my & my really good friend both work at the same place. We also dated 2 guys from work as well. She is now saying that me & her ex-boyfriend flirt alot at work these days although they've been broken up for 2 months now. She says that I get upset when she talks to my ex but that was only when we were actually "dating" but now that we're broken up, I don't see anything wrong with them two talking or whatever. I'm not looking for a relationship or anything more than friends with her ex but yet she is mad about me flirting with him. What am I supposed to do? (link)

Tell her that it is perfectly alright for her to flirt with your ex, and she should be able to accept that her relationship with her ex is over, and you should be able to do the same with him.

Depends, how old are you? First boyfriend?
Honestly, i don't have much first hand experience, but i'd suggest talking to your mom about it first. Or your dad. Whichever you're more confortable with. Chances are, they'll tell the other one. After you're dating for a while, invite him over to hang out or something. Have your parents meet him, and things should go smoothly.

Do you know if he is attracted to males as well? This is a tough situation, because i know in my school, many are bias to gays. If you're pretty sure he's interested in you, confront him about it, and ask him. It'd be tough to find a partner at your age, so i'd go for it if you're confident enough ^^

Well my recomendation is to just date. Don't make a commitment yet. Drugs are very shaky grounds and he could try to get you hooked. I don't know him personally, but i have experienced this problem and it really has to do on how well you know him and if he would endanger you in that area. Maybe go on a few dates, see where things take you.

I've babysat before and depending on the situation, no. It really depends on what you feel up to. Make sure you're prepared, have all the emergency numbers, know their schedule, what they like, and be sure to take an active part in the babysitting. You don't want to lock them in their rooms and just watch t.v. BAD. Do what the parents say is best. Around bed time (if you're babysitting them around that time) get them in their pajamas, have them brush their teeth, maybe read a story, and be sure to check in every-so-often to make sure they're sleeping soundly.
As i said, whatever you're comfortable with.

ok, well i have a b/f we been goin out for 2 months... well'z it was going really great for the first month... but he has basketball alot.. and so i harldy get to see him alot... and well its sort of a long story but he always says i love you so much to me and stuff like that!! but anyways i need help wellz my friend lets call him bob(and my b/f's bestfriend) keeps telling me that my b/f is talking bout me.. saying stuff like i dont care about her!! and stuff welllz then bob said that my b/f told him about me and my b/f's secret.. then that he told him that he (my b/f) didnt want to go out wit me anymore... but wen i ask my b/f about it he always says no... today i asked him about if he said that he was gunna break up wit me then he said no relly low and his eyes were all watery and stuff!! then he looked really sad/mad.. i dont know!! wat should i do? im confused!!

Okay, well, you're not the first person this has happened to, i'm sure.
I think, he may not love you anymore, but he's afraid of hurting you, becuase he still wants to be friends. It may just be too difficult for him to keep up with the relationship. Maybe you should talk to him more about it, and get more evidence. If it turns out he doesn't want to go out with you anymore, tell him, if you're up to it, that you don't think the relationship is working out. Tell him that you still want to be friends and that there should be no hurt feelings here. But don't jump in saying that if you're not sure he doesn't want to be in a relationship with you. It'd save him the pain of breaking up with you. BUT if you don't want to break up with him, don't. Do what feels right. Does that make sense? i hope so.
