I have been married for 25 years. Recently my wife asked me about my past girl friends. At first I did not want to tell her that I had been in bed with my first girl friend. However, I was too nervous to hide and my replies to her questions were with many flaws. Sometimes, the answer was contradictory and beyond common sense. At last, I needed to confess my sex past that I had with my girl friend. At that time she asked me about how we knew, the dates, intimate acts in the course of the dates and finally how we came to bed. Especially on the details of our acts in bed where she insisted that I should mention every details. After that, she felt that I was beyond her belief that she had so trusted me before to have done such thing. She began to doubt my morals not matching to what she had thought about me. She was hurt emotionally. Every now and then, she often asked again and again of the in bed details with my first girl friend. She even asked questions of how I felt at the time where I was in bed with my girl friend and compared the things if she was my ex girl friend. She always did the same interrogation and if there was any deviation with what I said before and for even any slightest difference, she would yell at me that I was a liar and a hypocrite because I did not tell her all the things of my sex past. Now, she insists that she cannot forgive me. She hates me and even sometimes asks me to leave the house. However, she finally withdraws and allows me to stay after she calms down in our quarrels. I have tried my best to ask for her pardon by saying that I am wrong not to tell her of my sex past before our marriage. I even beg her to forgive me by saying that I do not mean to hide my sex past. Of course, she keeps on refusing to trust me.
Now I want to know how I can mend this. I love my wife. I don't want to divorce. I know my wife also loves me in her inner mind. However, her grief about my past cannot sweep off. She often says that she hates me. Please advise what I can do.

I'm guessing that your wife is very conservative. Good for you for telling her the truth, but, well... now you're dealing with the consequences. Personally, I'd ask her what the big deal is. you were young, you and your ex-girlfriend were total freaks, it happens. you lived, you learned, you grew up, and you found the right woman for you. If she's this angry about something that happened 25 years ago, she either needs to calm the hell down because thats just unreasonable, or get her real issues addressed. Hell, she should feel proud that she got you despite your ex's feminine charms.
This situation can be resolved, because it's all in her head. getting her to admit to the real issue is going to be the hard part.

I took an at home pregnancy test 3 days ago, and it was positive. I instantly began crying, and have rarely stopped. I am 21, and my husband of 1.5 months is 23. I am in my senior year of college, and my husband just joined the army, and we just moved to our first duty station. I cannot stop crying, because I have always wanted to have a career before having kids. It was my dream as a child to be a pilot, and in September I decided I wanted to join the Army to achieve my dreams. But having a kid right now pretty much ruins my chances, and there is no other plausible way for me to become a pilot.
I started to talk to my husband about possibly having an abortion, and he said he would support me in whatever decision I came to, but he also said he would probably view me differently. I know that having an abortion is the right decision for me; it is only when I think about it, that I stop crying. But the thought of my husband viewing me differently, and possibly growing to resent me, that makes this decision extremely hard for me. And it is not just giving up on my dreams that haunts me, I also feel that having a baby now isn't what is best for me, and I know if I keep it, I will grow to resent my husband for having the career of his choice.
I am looking for advice, support, or thoughts of who I should talk to in order to figure out the best course of action.
I'll say this first- do what you need to do. second- what about having a kid is preventing you from becoming a pilot in the army? If you kept the kid, take a few months to bust yourself back into shape, go to OCS, then head to Rucker for flight school. He can get a compassionate reassignment to Fort Rucker while you're there, and it's what's called a "Gentleman's Course". you can go home every night and be with your family. Trust me, the Army, for all the hype, will take care of you and yours. The only difference being that only one of you can be deployed at a time, so if your aviation Battalion gets shipped off to the sandbox at the same time as his unit, one of you will stay back on Rear Detachment.
In any case, no matter what you decide to do, The Army's got a ridiculous amount of resources available for you. just contact the family life center.
If you have any more questions, either hit me up, talk with the garrison chaplain, family life counsellors, FRG leaders, the list is nearly endless. above all, know that you and your husband will never be alone as long as you're in the military.

Ways to accurately heat roughly a gallon of fluid for a long period of time?
I am looking for a way to heat a gallon (5 liters) or so of fluid and maintain that temperature accurately for a week. I have been looking a laboratory spec Water Baths but are two expensive for my cause. Hoping to spend around 50 euros. Was also looking at fish tank heaters but they only heat to 34degrees Celsius. Need to heat fluid to about 50 degrees Celsius. Please help in anyway. Its for my final year project in college. Thanks.
you're going to have to spend more than 50 euros to get those results dude. a hotplate with temperature control is the best way to go for you, but they're expensive. best thing I can think of right now, is to take a pot of water, set it on a hotplate, and then rig a smaller container inside of the large pot so that it is suspended(ie: not touching the sides or bottom of the large pot). once you do this, start experimenting with the proper heat setting to maintain 50 degrees. once you have that down, begin your science experiment, and remember to refill the media water daily. also- a gallon is 3.96 liters.

I am a 26 year old female...so for a few weeks, I've had a rash/mini pimples on the inner part of my elbow on my left arm. Now, there's a small lump that has formed there under the skin. It's slightly tender to the touch, and it's hard. I've been doing a lot of lifting with that arm, and every once in awhile I feel a twinge of pain in that same arm. What really scares me is that I have a history of lymphoma...are there even lymphnodes in that area? I'm going to see a doctor regardless of what answers I get on here, but I was just curious to see if anyone else has experienced this problem and what the outcome was...thanks!
the lymphatic system is literally everywhere in your body. aside from that, what have you been up to? have you been sitting at a table or desk a lot? my job a while back included sitting at a desk for 12 hours a day 7 days a week, due to rubbing on the desk, the small hairs on my elbow area were rub-cut, and became ingrown. it could be possible that you just have a big ingrown hair. another possibility, if you're into sports, is tennis elbow. thats annoying. as for the twinges, that might be the ligament snapping back into its channel. does that to me a lot.

17/f All right so, I HAAAAATE sharing food. Loathe it. Absolutely drives me up the wall! But, I am a female. I know it's all right if men eat a lot. I mean, they're dudes, eating is what they do. But, I'm a lady! A lot of my friends know full well to NEVER touch my plate. I've bitten a friend's hand before for stealing a handful of popcorn... XD But there are acquaintances of mine, who don't know me as well, who are known for mooching. As in, if you have food, they will beg like starving dogs. You may be able to guess, but moochers are my worst enemies. So to not be hypocritical, I never mooch or beg.
But, I always see girls sharing food with each other and laughing, and enjoying themselves. Or people sharing with their boyfriends. I wanna know, is it normal to not be able to share food without veins popping out of your head from irritation? Are there people out there like me?
Also, are there maybe some psychological reasons behind it? I'm just wondering. :3
this reminds me of two distinct varieties of primates I ran across in my Anthropology book a few months back- one type is a smorgasborg feeder, they eat communally and share food. the other has developed larger cheek pouches to match their lone feeding behavior. Its all in your preference. I guard my food, but have been known to tolerate my former girlfriend's habit of messing with my food because I got something out of it, namely sex. If you don't like people fucking with your food, then people had better accept it and get their own.

I am currently in college and I am undecided major. I have given my future career a lot of thought and I know that I want to do something involving a laboratory. My entire family and extended family are associated with the medical field, so it is basically in my blood to be surrounded by medicine and research. My aunt and uncle are doctors, however I wish to be the medical researcher. I need help coming up with career choices which would fit the criteria of being in a laboratory and doing research. I was either thinking pharmacy or forensic science (I've always wanted to be a detective and I am interested in the law department).
Would anyone be willing to help me out with my career problem and their inputs and/or recommendations? Thank you!
I am pretty sure there are no laboratory researchers among the people that contribute to this site. This place is probably too "low-brow" for them. This is an excellent question to ask of your student advisor. when spring semester starts in a few weeks, set up a face-to-face appointment with your student advisor. he or she should be able to give you the proper guidance in regards to your chosen career path.

When I was in the first grade, I could have easily been skipped to the fourth. Instead, I stayed in first, but only because my school integrated first, second, and third grade into the same classrooms. I ended up being really bored and after forcing the third graders to teach me everything they knew, I entertained myself by memorizing things like the digits of pi, maps and charts of Africa and Asia, and reading the dictionary. Six years later, after transferring to the local public school in my town, I actually got skipped from sixth to eighth. It's a great challenge, but a lot of kids just hate the fact that I'm there as a twelve year old and they're well past fourteen. My teachers, as always, are supportive, but I just don't know what to do anymore.

I want to be a volleyball player so bad, that you don't even know I have been on the B team in junior High but when I get in high school I'm going to have to learn how to serve over hand. I need some helpful tips to learn how to serve over hand.
it should be one fluid motion. don't try to over think it. without a ball, just slowly move through the motion. imagine yourself as a spring. when you are in the starting position, you are a spring under tension. as you come up, slowly release that energy potential in a controlled manner. and practice, practice, practice. do it to the point that you don't even have to think about how you're going to move, make your muscles remember how to do it themselves.

I agree with the chaos fellow, but must add:
they are adamant about this because animal protein is extremely efficient. sure, tofu kicks ass, but if you pull back and look at it, your chosen diet is going to require that you eat significantly more plant protein by weight than you would animal protein to attain the same effects. here's a reccomendation: if you can't get them to agree with your vegan transition, try something a little less extreme, one perhaps that you can share with them, like pescatarian, or ovo-lacto. do you have any idea how hard it is to shop for a family when one member eats an entirely different diet? convince them to go on a fish-only diet with you. fish is nutritious, inexpensive, and closer to your goal. then, as soon as everybody settles into that, start introducing whey protein into your diet, slowly replacing fish. if you do so gradually, then they'll probably accept it. then, once you're out of the house, do whatever you please. but be advised, all of the herbivorous folk I have met in my ventures have been weak and sickly. british english does tend to spell words in a more glorious manner, but really, there's no difference. dialect is the only real barrier. have you ever tried to speak with somebody from wales? I was hanging out with a british cavalry platoon a few years back, and it was like being at the UN. The platoon was half welsh, and the rest a gaggle of other accents with an aristocratic Platoon Leader. the only dude I could understand was the PL and a conkney squad leader, and thats because the PL spoke with the most refined and elegant accent I have ever had the pleasure of hearing and the conkney Squad leader was a riot to listen to as well. its like comparing a tomato with a differently accented tomato.
